Basically, my awesome English teacher gave us a project:
Since we're reading Romeo And Juliet, we had to rewrite two scenes ANY WAY WE WANT. We can tweak the scenes, characters, anything, as long as the rewrite catches the essence of the original scene. BUT, the rewrite of the Balcony scene is MANDATORY.

Anyways, I'm posting this because this is one of my projects that I'm proud of, and I wanted to share that with you guys. So, here we go.

Cast:
JayQuan LeVar Burton is the rewrite- Romeo Montague is the original.
AUDITION FORM-
Name- JayQuan LeVar Burton

Age- 18

Looks:

Hair- black, clean cut, usually covered up by a snapback.
Eyes- brown.
Skin- very dark.

Clothes- snapbacks, Jordan Sneakers, sagged skinny jeans, and a YOLO hoodie.

Ashley Georgeson is the rewrite of Juliet Capulet.

AUDTION FORM

Name- Ashley Georgeson

Age- 17

Looks-

Hair- blonde/brown, naturally straight, shoulder length.
Eyes- green
Skin- pale white.

Clothes: UGG boots, booty shorts, PINK shirt.

Beatrice Walker is the rewrite of Benvolio Mantague/Friar Lawerence.

AUDITION-

Name: Beatrice Walker

Age- 16

Looks-
Hair: black, shoulder length, straight, with bangs.
Eyes: brown, with black glasses.
Skin: dark brown.


SETTING/Summary:
It is Brooklyn, New York. Two families hate one another. JayQuan and Ashley are brought together, despite her being the infamous "WH1TE GUR1 0F DA GH3TT0" from the suburbs. Will they ever make it?


The two scenes I have chosen were:

Act 2, Scene 2(The Balcony Scene).

Act 2, Scene 6 (The Wedding Scene).
