This story takes place four years after the power rangers had defeated emperor Grumm. Now it is 2029 and emperor Grumm has been released and plans to return to New Tech City with all of his henchmen to seek his revenge.
New Tech City 2029
Space Patrol Delta Base
"Sir I am picking up a strange energy reading." Kat SPD's technology Expert exclaimed
"What kind of energy reading Miss Manx's?" Commander Cruger asked
"A ranger energy reading." She explained
"Are you positive Kat!" Commander Cruger said in shock
"yes Sir an intense Spike in the morphing grid is spiking somewhere outside the city." Kat said
"can you narrow in on the energy reading?" he asked politely as he could.
Meanwhile in a cave outside the city.
A perky young Pokémon trainer is sitting inside the cave with her trust partner Pikachu wonder where we are.
" I am going to find out where we are ok Pikachu?" She says get out of her sitting position.
Pikachu got up and tried to follow his beloved trainer
"don't worry buddy I'll be fine stay here ok." She said sweetly
she took some Pokémon food out of her backpack and set it in front of her partner. Then left the cave in hopes that she'll find out where we were.
New Tech City limits
She walks into the city and sign reads Welcome to New Tech City.
She said well at least now I know were I am I should go and tell Pikachu."
So she heads back to the cave so she can tell her best friend the good news but before she could a freaky looking bat attacked her.
Back at the SPD base
Cruger had called the rangers to the command center. He had told the rangers about what Kat had discovered.
"Sir you kidding right we don't need another ranger we are doing just fine the way we are." Sky protested
"Sky I hate to disagree with you but we could you the extra help now the Grumm has returned." Bridge Argued
"Sorry Sky but Bridge doses have a good point." Kat said
"Kat have you found were the signal is coming from yet?" Z asked.
"Not yet I am still searching." She Answered
Then the alarm goes off and on the screen they see a teenage girl being attacked by Broodwing
Cruger tells the rangers to suit up to go help the girl and the rangers yell SPD Emergency
Meanwhile in the city
The bat was holding her by the neck. The poor trainer put on her brave face.
"Together we can destroy the power rangers" said the bat in the punch bowl
two things one who or what are the power rangers and second if I knew who they were I would never help you." She said completely confused
"you are lying I know you know what I'm talking about." The bat yelled back
"I'm serious whoever you are just put me down and I'll get out of your hair." She said hope that the bat thing wouldn't release her from its grasp
"nice try but I'm not falling for that." The bat said
"please let me go I'm just passing through that's all I don't want to cause any trouble." She pleaded
the bat was getting sick of her consistent whining so it tighten its grasp around the poor girls neck.
"Now join with me to take down this planet." The bat said trying to persuade her to come to the dark side
"no I'll never work for the bad guys." She protested
after she said that the bat threw her against the wall and the poor girl's vision started to get fuzzy and blurry. The only thing she could make out were several teenage standing in front of her protecting her from the bat in the punch bowl
"SPD always inferring with my plans" the bat said as it flew away
that was the last thing she remembered as everything slowly turned black.
She still could hear several other voices but she could tell that they were friendly.
" I think she going to be alright she just got knocked for a loop we should take her back to the base to be on the save side." Said a sweet caring male voice
"Good idea let's go." Said another voice
SPD infirmary
The girl wasn't too sure how long she was out but when she woke up she thought she was in the hospital but it didn't look more high tech.
"Where am I?" the girl asked completely confused again
"Hi I'm Z and this is Sky Bridge and Syd and you're at the SPD academy a state of the art academy trains cadets to become power rangers." A girl in a yellow SPD uniform explain
Then her friends say hi and she waves back.
"Well thanks for your help but I think I've caused you nice people enough trouble so I'll just be going now." The girl said sweetly
As the girl started to sit up straight everything in the room started to spin, and she felt someone place their hand on her shoulder to lay her back down in the bed
"hey take it easy there young lady." A calm doctor voice said
after the girls vision returned to normal she looked up and saw the doctors face
" so I'm guess you're the doctor huh." She said trying to make a joke
"yes I'm Doctor Felix what's your name?" he asked
"oh I guess I forgot well some on my friends call me T-dawg but you can call me Tracy."
she answered
Then a big blue dog came in the room
The poor girl nearly jumped out of her own skin
"don't worry that out commander" Bridge explained
"So let me get this straight the base is run by a big dog."
"Pets as authority figures you get used to it." Bridge said
"I see our new friend is awake" the big blue dog said
"it can talk too ok let me guess his name Scooby doo." She said
"sorry to disappoint you Tracy his name is Doggie Cruger" Bridge said
"ok works for me but who was the freaky looking bat in the punch bowl? " she said
"That bat that attacked name is Broodwing" Commander Cruger explained
"OK what does this have to do with me?" she asked
"Our swarm enemy Grumm that we have defeated has come back to seek his revenge." Commander Cruger said
"Revenge!" the girl said in shock
Cruger asked me if I would like to help in the battle against Grumm. She thought about it for a minute and she was unsure about what to do. She was sure that Pikachu was getting worried about her.
"so what have you decided?" Cruger asked her
"I don't know me a power ranger? I don't think I got what it takes and I need to go check up on my friend." she said hoping that her excuse would work
"You may not think you don't have what it takes but I see a lot of potential for you to become an amazing member of our team." Cruger said to reassure the young girl
"well I think about then I'll come back." She said
this is a onetime offer" Cruger explained
well I guess I could give it a try" she said hesitatingly
is that a yes?" Cruger asked
She nodded and he asked her for her last name
"Tracy, Tracy Burlew" she answered
then he welcomed me to SPD but she taught to herself "how am I going to tell them about my secret."
