I began scribbling down a few things in an attempt to look busy, but my mind wandered. Suddenly, something wet and sticky poured down my head and onto my back. I reached a hand back to touch it. Paint. Glaring red paint in fact. I looked around for the culprit but only found laughing faces around me. My face flushed and eyes brimming with tears, i sat there in misery. I tried to keep my breathing even, tried to stop the inevitable but my worst nightmare had already come to life. I drowned out the voices of the teacher trying to figure out what happened and someone yelling for them to stop laughing at me and hoped upon hope that my crush had went home early while i hadn't been paying attention.
I was scared to turn around. Scared to lift my head from my arms. In that moment, i preyed to be suddenly graced with invisibility. Instead, i got something else.
"Hey, dont cry.." a voice said gently. I lifted my head and there she was, sitting next to me. My heart felt like a stone.
She saw..this is so terrible..
