I sit,
watching.
I see his
pale, shocked face.
As he begs
and pleads for mercy,
I feel
horrified.
I love him and
I want
to help him,
to do something,
but I can’t.
As the
scene unfolds,
I stare
in horror,
tears forming
in my eyes.
I want
to look away,
but I can’t.
I sob.
There is
a blast of fire
joined by
a horrible scream.
His scream
rips at my heart and
I let out
a horrified shriek
through my
tears and
my sobbing.
