They say we don’t need feminism
Because women have rights
We’re allowed to vote
We own houses
We make money

But is that all they see
The legality
Instead of the equality
Or more lack thereof

Because if you search the streets
In the summertime
Who is it meandering around
Carefree
With everything from the hips up exposed
And who is it
Suffering in the heat
Because their bodies have been deemed
Unacceptable
And
Provocative

As if our naked bodies
Are justification
For humans to turn to animals

So how can they tell us
We don’t need feminism
When our world is still divided by
Who is
And who isn’t
