Teach me how
To use 26 letters
To tell you how I felt tonight
When your eyes met mine
Because every time I see you again
Every word
In every poem I've ever written
Suddenly means nothing
And I could never find the right combination
Of 26 letters
To tell you how it felt
Watching you walk
Talk
Smile
Live your life as the human you are
Because
Your every breath
Takes all of mine away
So maybe if I knew
How to write a poem
That has no words
I could start to understand why
Every fallen teardrop
Every slash across my skin
Every night spent awake
And every stupid poem I wrote
Was worth it
That has no words
