You're the blade held to my vein
And the noose around my neck
You're precisely just the reason
Why I am such a wreck
You're the pavement that I hit
As I jump from way up high
And your name is written bold
In the letter they'll soon find
You're everything I'd love to hate
But maybe it's just as well
'Cause every time you look my way
I'm in heaven and in hell
You're the butterflies I draw
My newfound will to live
And I strive to return
The priceless gift you give
You're the smile in my mind
That never lets me go
And then through all this distance
I'm not quite so alone
You're everything I'd hate to love
But in truth, I may have lied
My gaslit candle in the dark
My sweet suicide
And the noose around my neck
You're precisely just the reason
Why I am such a wreck
You're the pavement that I hit
As I jump from way up high
And your name is written bold
In the letter they'll soon find
You're everything I'd love to hate
But maybe it's just as well
'Cause every time you look my way
I'm in heaven and in hell
You're the butterflies I draw
My newfound will to live
And I strive to return
The priceless gift you give
You're the smile in my mind
That never lets me go
And then through all this distance
I'm not quite so alone
You're everything I'd hate to love
But in truth, I may have lied
My gaslit candle in the dark
My sweet suicide
