I'm on a roll guys. Enjoy it while it lasts! :)

--------------

It had been hours since Cadence left and since then Bronx's nanny had dropped him off at Pete's house. He hated the thought of his son having a damn nanny. Cadence worked a hell of a lot more than Ashlee did and yet she had her daughter every minute of every day. Sighing, he sat back on the couch as he watched cartoons with Bronx. His mind was wandering in so many different directions he could hardly sit still.

"Shake ya money maker!" Pete could hear Ariana's little voice singing as the front door opened. Thank god, he took a deep breath and released it. "Hey princess." He smiled as she walked into the living room with Patrick right behind her.

"I got a carriage bed! Like the pumpkin!" She announced to Pete as she threw her doll down on the floor by the neck and sat down to take off her shoes. It was at least better than when Cadence caught her trying to put the baby doll in the microwave of her play kitchen.

Pete's eyes grew wide. "You bought her what?" He looked at him. He had feared that he just learned that Patrick had went and spent A LOT of money on a custom made carriage bed. It was a gorgeous bed but for the $25,000 it was a big investment. It came with the ability to change as the kid grew but still!

"Yeah, I loved it!" He smiled. "Well you know since Lisa and I don't plan on having kids, I figure I might as well as spoil Ari." He smiled as he picked her up and kissed her. "Oh, and before Cadence comes in, we bought the house. She'll be moving in once all the furniture is in." He nodded.

"You really just went and bought her a house?" Pete felt the anger inside him starting to rise. He kind of felt like Patrick was over stepping his bounds. "You know, you just come in here and take over, it's really not cool." He shook his head.

"Pete, really? Grow up. There's nothing to take over." He made air quotes around the words "take over". He sighed and rubbed his face. "Cadence is going through a lot, you should be the first to know that and instead of worrying about the next time you can get in her pants, you should be worried about doing everything to make her comfortable." He hushed his voice as Cadence walked in.

"I'll decide that." Pete muttered as he threw himself down against the couch.

"Hi, Bronx." Cadence smiled as she walked over and patted him on the head. She gave Pete a small smile as she stepped over him. "So, we'll be out of your hair soon." She sat down next to him.

"Great." He nodded as he looked down at his hands.

"What's your problem?" She asked as she noticed his attitude change.

"I don't have one." He quipped.

"You sure sound like you have one." She looked up to see Patrick bringing the kids out of the room. "You might as well tell me now." She looked at him.

"You always just want to leave me. So I give up." He said very non-chalantly as he didn't take his eyes off of the TV. He wasn't going to say anything else but then he decided to continue. "I have done everything to try and help you and you just reject most of my help and then just go and let Patrick do every thing for you." He shrugged. "No matter what I have ever done you will always just have used me to get to him." He exasperated.

"Excuse me?!" Cadence turned wide eyed as she looked at him. "I have never ever used you. In case you don't remember it was you who came after me from day one to get what you wanted." She seethed. Ugh, this was the last thing she wanted. She did not want to be fighting with him. "You decided you wanted to fuck me, you decided you thought you should save me back then and you thought you should do it now. Should I thank you?" She questioned.

Pete stopped and looked at her. "You know don't you?"

"Know what?" Cadence questioned.

"You know that when I went to your house that day that David was alive and you know that I gave him what killed him." He had to use all his strength to say those words. "So now you're using all this to break my heart again."

Cadence stopped in her tracks.

"That's the only thing it could be. You only got weird when you got the autopsy results back." His voice was loud and yet hushed at the same time.

"David died of an acute overdose due to a heart murmur. He would of died with or without the drugs." She said. "What did you do, Pete??" She looked at him. She didn't even know who she was looking at right now.

"I just wanted to protect you." He whispered. "I didn't have the balls all those years ago to fucking kill that bastard who hurt you and I wasn't making that same mistake twice." He said.

"So you become a fucking murderer?" She turned and looked at him. This wasn't the Pete that she knew. She had no idea what was going on. The whole world was shaking under her feet. "And what good will that do me and your kids?" She questioned. She froze in her tracks. Was that really how she was going to tell him.

Pete was about to open his mouth and stopped when her words sunk into his head and the specific was she had used them. "My kids?" He made sure to put an emphasis on the word kids. He had one son. That was it.

"Pete, I'm pregnant." She looked down at him.

"And you know for sure its mine?" He looked up at her. He had to ask. She was married when they got together. It didn't sound right, but it was true.

"I hadn't had sex for seven months until we had sex." She answered bluntly.

"So how far along are you?" He looked at her.

"Only about two weeks." She looked at him. "I only know because of the blood test from the emergency room."

"And that's why you got weird." He nodded as he sat down on the couch, his head in his hands. "So, now you're going to take Ariana and my-our child and move out?" He questioned.

"I don't belong here, Pete. You aren't even divorced yet." She shook her head. "Our child is going to know that it's the product of a lot of infidelity one day..." She shook her head. "I need to be on my own for a while." She looked at him. "I need to find me. I'm a lot more than just the girl Pete Wentz dates every few years."

"You know you ended it with me. You're awfully bitter about that considering I never wanted it to end."

"You certainly didn't fight it, did you?" She shot a look at him. "We'll be out of here as soon as I pack." She couldn't stand him right now. "I'll stay at Patrick's until my house is ready." She walked out of the room. It took all her composure to keep her legs from falling out from underneath her once she got out of sight. What the hell did he do? What had just happened?
