Dun dun dun...doctors appointment time!

Cadence took a deep breath as she parked her car and got out of it. She knew today was going to prove to be interesting. She was meeting Pete for her doctor's appointment and she was hoping she would get to find out what she was having. She really wanted to have a little boy. The idea of a mini Pete really made her smile, but then again she thought Pete would be adorable with a daughter. She clicked the lock button on her keys and made her way towards the entrance. According to the text Pete had sent her, he was already inside waiting on her.

Pulling open the door of the building, she lifted her sunglasses off of her eyes and onto her head as she looked at Pete sitting on a bench in the lobby. His eyes were glued to the floor as he bounced his legs. She knew he was nervous. He always did that when he was nervous.

"Hey." Cadence smiled as she walked up next to him.

"Oh, hey." He gave her a weak smile as he hugged her. He knew they had to have a talk but he was nervous about how it was going to go. But, first he wanted to see his baby. "You're getting a belly." He smiled as he rested a hand on her belly.


"I know it looks like I'm smuggling a beach ball." Cadence laughed as they started to walk up the stairs to the second floor where her GYN was located. "It's already hard walking up these damn stairs. I swear I wasn't even this big in my whole pregnancy with Arii." She answered.

"Where is Arii?" He asked.

"She's with Patrick and Lisa. They took her to the water park." She nodded her head. "You know, I really like Lisa but I hope that he really knows what he wants with them not having kids." She said as she signed her name on the paper at the front desk.

"I think they know what they're doing." He nodded. "Plus between Izzy and Bronx and now him falling in love with Ariana. He has a lot of love to pass around." Pete took a seat. Thankfully it wasn't busy in the office. There were only two other women in the office.

"That's true." She nodded. "And this baby will make four." She laughed as she rested her hand on her stomach. "I swear this kid has four arms." She laughed. "I feel so much hitting and kicking all the time."

"Can I feel?" He asked.

She nodded. "Go ahead." She took his hand and helped guide his hand to where she could feel their baby resting. "Imagine if this had happened when were younger, we'd probably be peeing our pants." She laughed.

"I think if it had happened, we would of been fine. We loved each other a lot." He felt the baby kick against his hand and smiled. "I still love you that much." He told her. He didn't want to make things weird but it was true. "I think though that you don't realize that. And, I can't help but get the feeling that you're using me for whatever emotion you're missing at the time.." He trailed off. He was about to continue when he heard them call her name.

"Come on." She said to Pete as she stood up.

Pete nodded and followed her into the back. They took a few turns and then were put into a room where Cadence was instructed to get up on the table and pull her pants down to around her waist.

"It's cold in here!" Cadence laughed as she pulled the paper cover over herself.

"I can tell." He smirked as he stood on the side of the table next to her. His eyes scanning her chest.

"Pervert." She laughed as she looked up at him. He looked really handsome today. She thought it was probably the fact that he was so happy about being a father again. She couldn't lie she was really happy that she was being a mother again. She was about to say something else when the door opened and her Doctor walked in.

"Hi, Cadence. Hi, Pete." Dr. Warren gave them both warm smiles. "Let's see if we can find out what we're having!" She smiled as she turned on the machine and took the gel from the warmer.

"Ok, give me good news!" Cadence laughed.

"You have a preference?" Dr. Warren asked.

"Boy." Cadence nodded.

"Girl!" Pete laughed as he held onto Cadence's hand tightly. He was so glad she was letting him be here for this.

Dr. Warren laughed. "Ok, looks like I'll have to be the tie breaker." She pushed the wand against Cadence's stomach and moved it around to get a better picture.

"I wish I knew what I was looking at." Pete stared at the screen. "Is that a penis?" He squinted his eyes.

"No, that would be your son's arm." She smiled.

"It's a boy?!" Cadence smiled. "Yes!!" She wanted a mini Pete growing inside of her. She loved the idea of having his son.

"Yes, and well this is your daughter..." She moved the wand again. "You're having twins." Dr. Warren smiled as Pete's eyes widened and Cadence's mouth fell open. "Here are two heartbeats." She nodded.

"Oh my god." Pete smiled as he grabbed Cadence and kissed her. "Thank you, thank you, thank you." He whispered. He could not have been any happier than he was right in that moment.

Cadence smiled as she nodded after he had kissed her. "Twins." She repeated. She couldn't believe she was pregnant with twins. Two babies. She was now going to be raising three kids by herself. She couldn't do it. She was starting to realize she could not do this all alone.
