Sorry it's been awhile. I've been very busy lately. Hope you enjoy this update! Please read and review! Thanks!

Pete's sweaty body fell onto the mattress next to mine. Both of us were breathing shallowly, completely out of breath. I stared at the ceiling for a minute, trying to grasp what just happened. He made love to me. Was he going to leave Meagan? Was this just a big mistake? I honestly hoped it wasn't. I needed to know something, just anything right now.

Pete reached over and grabbed his phone from his pants pocket. "Shit! It's 5 am!" He exclaimed and jumped out of bed and began dressing. I had no idea it was so late, either. I quietly got up and began dressing again myself.

"What does this mean?" I asked Pete quietly as he pulled his shoes on hastily.

"Mandy, I..." Pete trailed off and looked up at me from the edge of the bed. "I don't know."

"Oh..." I said softly, looking away. He wasn't leaving Meagan.

"Look," Pete jumped off the bed and walked up to me, tilting my chin up so I was forced to look him in the eyes. "I love you. But I also love Meagan. What just happened there," he gestured towards the bed, "meant so much to me. I just... I need time to think." He admitted and I just nodded. That was better than hearing it wasn't ever going to happen between us.

Pete leaned in and kissed me tenderly. "I have to leave," he said softly and I nodded. He grabbed his jacket from the bed and walked to the guesthouse door, turning to look at me one last time before leaving. I nearly broke down and cried.

'Why the fuck won't my lights turn on?' I thought as I flipped the switch over and over again. It was getting dark outside, so I needed the light to see my entryway. I'd just gotten back in town from a television appearance. Maybe Mandy will know what's going on, since she stayed here and watched Hemingway for me.

"Hello?" Her beautiful voice rang through the speaker. I really needed to get a hold of my crush. Patrick would KILL me if he knew I had a thing for his younger sister.

"Hey Mandy. None of my lights are working. Did the power go out?" I asked her and tried to turn on my TV, opened my fridge, checked the over clock. Nothing was on.

"Not that I'm aware of. When I left an hour ago, everything worked just fine."

"Nothing will turn on." I replied as Hemingway came bounding out of the bedroom at me. He jumped at my feet and I pet him affectionately before moving on to other rooms. Nothing worked.

"Do the neighbors have their lights on?" She asked me and I peeked out the patio door. Lights were on all around my place.

"Yeah. What the fuck?" I was beginning to get really frustrated.

"Maybe you forgot to pay the bill." She teased and I rolled my eyes, even though she couldn't see.

"It's on auto pay. Not like I couldn't afford to pay it." I added. She giggled.

"Guess you should call the power company and get someone out to look at it."

"Damn it." I cursed. I knew they wouldn't come out here tonight, it was already 7 o'clock.

"Have fun with candles tonight," she teased me.

"Yeah yeah, bye." I hung up and dialed the electric company and set up for someone to come in the morning.

The next morning I woke up to the electric guy getting here.

"I just can't figure out what happened. My friend was here yesterday and said it was working." I explained and the guy nodded.

"I'm going to check the circuit box and wires. Where is it?" He asked I led him to the closet in my basement and headed back upstairs to grab a drink and get dressed. I was putting my clothes on in my bedroom when the lights suddenly turned on.

"Fuck yeah," I said and pulled my shirt down and walked towards my basement. I heard the electric guy laughing.

"Your friend has a pretty good sense of humor." He said, handing me a note and walking towards the front door. "Circuit breaker was turned off and that note was there. Have a good day." the guy laughed again and left. I looked down at the note.

'Pete, I knew you'd never check the circuit breaker. -Mandy'

I couldn't help but smile. At this moment, I knew I was in love with this woman. She pranked me and I had no idea it was coming.

I thought about that moment as I drove back to the home that I shared with Meagan. What the hell was I going to do? I loved them both, even though my feelings were stronger for Mandy, Meagan had been my girlfriend for the past 3 1/2 years. I'd had 2 nights with Mandy. They were the best nights of my life, though. Why did I have to go and complicate things more?

I walked into the house quietly, closing the door as silently as I could. Meagan would probably be mad that I was gone all night, but would assume I was too drunk to drive. She was so trusting and I shit all over that last night.

As I got closer to the bedroom, I heard Meagan throwing up. "MJ?" I asked, opening the bathroom door. She had her hair in a disastrous bun and was throwing up. She finished and wiped her face with a towel and blew her nose.

"Hey, baby," she said softly. Her eyes flicked towards the counter and I followed her quick glance. On the counter was a small, pink stick. It had a plus sign in the window. "I'm pregnant," she smiled.
