His walking speed increased. Whatever Dumbledore wanted him to see was important, else he wouldn't have sent such a rushed note. Running now, the boy- well, almost man, at sixteen years of age- reached Albus Dumbledore's office, panting. He raised his hand to knock, but before his hand could touch the strong oak door, it was opened for him.
"Hello, Harry."
A heavily breathing Harry Potter stared at the elderly man before him. He looked like he'd been depriving himself of sleep for days.
"Sir, are you alright? What did you need to show me?" He asked nervously.
"All in good time, dear boy," Came the reply. "But I need to know the lengths you would go to should you have the chance of saving your parents."
Harry's answer was simple. "I'd do anything."
"Well, there is a way. I have invented (successfully, might I add,) a potion that will let you travel to times years ago, to fix things."
Harry gasped. "I'll take it, professor."
Dumbledore smiled. "There are some side effects."
"What?"
"You will be permanently changed into a woman. It is irreversible. You will only be able to come back here 3 times by taking the potion again. If you do this three times and go back to the other world, you have to stay there. You may also-" He stopped. Harry had taken the potion. An empty bottle lay on the desk, another one untouched beside it, it's silver liquid shining in the light of the sun cascading through the window.
He was not worried. He had made the potion so that to go to the past you had to go in partners, as he had suspected Harry would pull something like that. Next he called on Hermione. Her gender would not be changed, but all the other side effects would be the same.
Albus dumbledore watched the two disappear with a bittersweet smile. Would they be back? Somehow, he didn't think so.
IN THE PAST:
Harry woke up with an aching head. In a hospital bed. He looked down at himself to check if the potion had worked. It had. He was now a she.
And she needed to think of a name. She thought of three names:
Taylor
Harmony
Prat- no, no.
NO.
No NO NO.
NO.
She wouldn't have a last name. This girl was going to be a Marauder somehow. This girl was going to be a rebel.
Next to her Hermione stirred before waking up fully. She'd be Riley Heroine Granger, as they needed to change identities. Taylor found her wand lying next to her, transfigured into a different one. It was now a nine inch, holly and veela feather wand.
She summoned a small mirrorand realised she had completely changed. She had brown ombre hair and bright blue eyes, sparkling like diamonds. She was average height, she guessed. Her fingers traced the high chekbones, full lips and the button nose.
"Mione," Taylor said, testing out her higher new voice. It sounded sweet and fresh, but not falsely so. "You can be Riley Heroine Granger. I'm Taylor Harmony, I got rid of my last name. Let's say we were at an orphanage and we are best friends. There was an attack by people in masks and woke up here. Here, have this mirror. You've changed appearance."
Riley was a blonde haired, green eyed girl, but her facial features were the same, just looking even more beautiful, which Taylor couldn't believe had happened. For some reason it felt natrual for her to look like that.
Then four sixteen year old boys came through the hospital and stopped at the two hospital beds which held Taylor and Riley. Taylor gasped. It was the rat pettigrew, Remus, Sirius and...James.
She had to admit three of them were rather attractive. James was handsome in a rougish sort of way, like Sirius. His hair stuck up all over his head and his hazel eyes looked neverending.
Pettigrew was downright ugly.
Sirius had long hair that fell to just before his shoulders. One look at him and you could tell he made the girls go crazy...
But to Taylor Remus was the most handsome.
He had that angelic look about him and his sandy blonde hair fell into his eyes. He, like Taylor, had blue eyes, but almost an opposite shade to hers. They contrasted perfectly.
"Hey ladies, we're the marauders," James started.
Remus rolled his eyes and introduced the boys by their actual names.
"Who are you and why are you here?" Asked pettigrew.
The other three glared at him and apologized profusely for his rudeness.
Riley smiled. "It's okay. I'm Riley Heroine Granger, we're from an orphanage that got attacked by people in masks."
They all paled, apart from Peter.
"And you are?" Sirius asked, turning to Taylor.
"Taylor Harmony."
James asked: "Don't you have a last name?"
"Don't want one. I'm a rebel now," she said, winking, but inside she was a little nervous. She hoped no one would find out who she was.
Everyone laughed.
"Well, Taylor Harmony, Riley Heroine, see you in class," Sirius said, laughing and walked away.
Taylor was glad she was here.
