PROLOGUE
"There will be three more, kin of your kin. You will know when the time is right. You know, Bramblestar. The time for revenge has come..."
Bramblestar jerked awake. Next to him, Squirrelflight stirred. Her belly was rounded with their kits. The deputy lifted her head.
"You okay?" she asked.
"Yes," Bramblestar replied, even though he wasn't. And he feared what was to come. Was the Great Battle not enough? he asked silently. Was the flood not enough? Clearly it wasn't. Bramblestar rested his head back in his paws. He would wait. And the voice has said: he would know.
