Arabella POV
I huffed annoyed as I sat at the table doing my school work. Math to be precise. I hate maths it's the one subject that I do hate as I find the rest of my school work quite enjoyable. I whined annoyed and scrunched up the pepper throwing it on to the floor as another question came up that I didn't understand "Ey ey ey what's all this about" Treville said walking over to me picking up the paper from the floor "I can't do it it's to hard and I don't understand it" I whined "Then you should have asked for help before you decided to throw your work on the floor" He said placing it back in front of me. I whined "I can't do it" "and that's why I'm going to help you if you sit quietly and listen" Treville said sitting next to me at the table. He explained the work to me over and over but I just whined and refused to fill in the paper with the answers. After a while of trying and failing to get me to to my work he started to give up "Arabella your brothers are going to be back within the next hour and they are not going to be very happy with you if they find out you haven't done any work all day" I whined in to the table "I don't want to do it" "fine but don't say I didn't try to help you" he said exasperatingly and got up walking away in to another room. I thew my head in to my arms on the table and whined to myself until I heard horses in the courtyard and the sound of my brothers voices ringing through the garrison. I heard footsteps come up the steps and the door opened to reveal my four snow covered brothers "hello sweetheart" D'artagnan said winking at me while dusting off snow "I tell you what Bella your In the right place in here cause its freezing out there" Porthos said walking over the the burning fire rubbing his hands together "I feel like my fingers are going to drop off" Aramis said walking by and pressing his freezing cold hands against my warm cheeks. I squealed and put my head further in to my hands frowning "what's Happened?" Athos said narrowing his eyes at me. Before I had time to answer Treville walked in to the room "your back I see" he said looking at me for a second "I'm going to my room" I said quickly still fronting and getting up to walk to my bedroom "uh hang on a minute missy sit back down" Aramis said pointing to the chair I had just got up from to witch I whined but complied sitting back in the seat. "What's happened?" Athos repeated his question this time looking at Treville "To make it simple your sister here must have got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning because she's been in a bad mood all day just being disrespectful and constantly back talking" "tattle tale" I whispered sending the much older man an evil glare "Watch it Bella" Porthos warned me "and then to top it all of after she threw her work on the floor and when I tried to help her with her math she refused to do it" he said finishing telling his story not looking the least bit sorry he had just got me in to trouble. "You haven't done any work all day" Athos said looking at me. I shrugged "why do you care" I asked not looking at him "excuse me?" He asked looking slightly taken aback by my tone of voice "I said why do you care" I repeated my self a little louder this time. Athos silently stared at me for about a minute before turning to Treville "I apologise for Arabellas behaviour today and I can ensure you that it will never happen again" Athos said to the old captain who shook his head "No need to apologise she's a child and children test your patience...by Bella" he said before walking out the door "tell me something I don't know" Athos whispered to himself as he closed the door behind the captain. "what's the matter with you" Athos said turning towards me with raised I just shrugged "everyone keeps annoying me that's what's the matter with me" I said full of attitude "Arabella nobody Is doing anything that's annoying" D'artagnan said. I rolled my eyes "you would say that" I said "I'm sorry?" He said with raised eyebrows "Arabella just because your in a bad mood today dose not give you the excuse to act like a spoiled mouthy little brat , I want all of these maths questions finished before bedtime and you are not to get up from this table until they are" he said placing the paper back in front of me "and I strongly suggest that you get rid of that attitude before dinner otherwise you are not going to like the outcome" he warned me walking away. I spent the next 15 minutes or so whining with my head on the table "dinners ready" Porthos said walking over to me and pickingup the paper that I had been rolling the corners up on and shaking his head "you know your only making this worse for yourself the sooner you get it done the sooner you can do what you want" he said leading me down the stairs In to the dining room leading me over to a chair which I unwillingly sat in with a huff just in time for Aramis to put a bowl of some kind of stew in front of me. "I'm not hungry" I said nastily to him "well you can either eat your dinner or go back upstairs and do your work hungry" he said simply I rolled my eyes as he walked away and sat in his own chair across from mine. I was still sat their half an hour later very slowly eating my stew trying to stall for as long as possible "Arabella you have two minutes to finish that then you can get yourself back up them stairs and finish your work" Athos said apparently getting wise to what I was trying to do. I rolled my eyes for the 100th time that night "you can't make me" I said dryly "I can and I will and if I hear one more rude remark from you little girl I'll wash your mouth out with soap" he threatened. I didn't finish my dinner but I wisely shut my mouth knowing that Athos would have no problem with following up on his threat as he had done only once before when I told him to f#%k off. Not only did I have the taste of soap in my mouth for a week but he spanked my bottom so hard I sometimes think I can feel the sting now. Another two minutes later when I still hadn't touched the rest of my dinner Athos spoke "right you've had enough then get back up them stairs and do your work I'll be there in a minute to check your doing it" he ordered to witch I whined but wisely sped up the stairs after the glare that Athos sent me. He was up the stairs five minutes later like promised to check I was doing work but I just put my arm round the paper and pretended like I was writing. One hour later D'artagnan came up in to the room "bedtime Bella" he said "hang on a minute show me what you've done" Athos said getting up from he chair by the fire and holding his hand out expectantly. I whined and pulled the blank paper close to my chest "One" uh oh I knew what would come after three and knowing the my older brother didn't count for his health handed him the paper his eyes scanning it and narrowing when they saw the blank paper "you've had all day to get this done and the page is empty" he said pulling me off my chair and landing a flurry of HARD smacks on my bottom making me yelp and my hands fly back for protection "now tomorrow you can do twice as much work because this isn't good enough" he said leaning over me. I finally started crying slowly bit nodded "I'm sorry sir" I said looking down he bent down lifting my chin to meet his eyes "I know you are and your forgiven but your school work is important and from now on when we get back I expect nothing but good reports about you , do I make myself clear?" He asked raising his eyebrows "yes sir". He pulled me in to a hug allowing me to wrap my arms around his neck "get some sleep your tired" he said I nodded "night night I love you" I said still in the hug "love you to" he said pulling away giving me a kiss on the forehead "get to bed you your five minutes past your bedtime" he playfully scolded gently pushing me towards D'artagnan who quickly took me downstairs to say night to Aramis and Porthos and the put me to bed after reading me a bedtime story.
