Batty is small, smart and anti-social. He doesn't like other people or Ghosties and in our world, he's often mistakes for a real bat (sometimes even a Vampire). He doesn't like people/Ghosties and he despises everything. He hates having to go outside of his room and hates having to socialise.
But deep down, Batty is really misunderstood. Batty's family left him to fend for himself at a young age and everybody else in his community left him for dead. So Batty refused to trust or let anyone else come near him emotionally. Deep down Batty really just wants to be loved.
