Where can you be nude in people and what you should understand
Public Nudity
The public nudity laws change from place to place. In many states it is not considered obscene to be nude unless your objective would be to cause arousal or an intention to alarm others. When in doubt it is best to check with the local statues or authorities. Obviously nudity is permitted in your own private property, other private companies like nudist resorts, some bathhouses, private clubs, and some shores.
The general idea is the human body alone isn't indecent. Great common sense predominates in regards to your own surroundings and those around you. If you're on 96% of the beaches in California, it's quite okay to be topless or nude. There are a couple exceptions to this depending on the city or municipality.
There is a large movement going on around the nation by individuals who support rights for girls who desire to be as free as men when it comes to being topless. This movement has had great successes including a court challenge won in New York in support of topless liberty and equality.
These states have tried and true court cases supporting equal rights to be topless in public.
Public nudity can also be okay in most places in the circumstance of photography or artwork showings. People including Spencer Tunick, a photographer who takes pictures of up to 18,000 nudes at a time for the sake of artwork do thus in many cities and places around the state. The key to this is not acting indecent or showing signs of arousal or inciting others to be aroused. One thing to remember is that straightforward toplessness or public nudity is generally not charged as indecent exposure even in places where you were mentioned for public nudity.
