Chapter Two: New Life:

-June 8th, 2011-

Lenard sat in the living room, smiling. Tai walked in, rubbing his eyes. He looked up and spotted his roommate.

"Lenny, you're up early," he said.

"Uh-huh," Lenard said. He stretched his arms above his head.

"I'm going to go for it today," he said. Tai focused his eyes on his roommate.

"Have you been to counselling yet?" he asked.

"I'm starting today."

"No illegal hormones, okay?"

"Yes."

"We're going to do this right."

"Yes!"

"Do you want me to come with you? As support, I mean."

Lenard tilted his head. "Don't you have your shift today?"

Tai pressed his forehead against his. "I can take the afternoon if you want."

"You sure?"

"If you want me to."

Lenard thought about it for a minute but shook his head. "No, but thanks."

"You sure?" Tai asked.

"Yeah," his roommate said. "I can handle today."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes!" Lenard felt like waving his arms up and down in the air. Tai chuckled.

"Okay, okay," he said. "I understand. Can me when you get there?"

"Yes," Lenard said.

"Call me afterwards?"

"Of course." Lenard rose to his feet. "I'm heading out."

"Take care," Tai said. The blonde bowed and headed out the door.

Anna rolled over onto her back. "Doing nothing all day, huh?"

"That's the idea," Tsuzuki said.

"But… How would that even work out?"

He gently put his finger to her lips. "You're doing it again."

"Doing what?"

"Thinking, instead of feeling." He cut her off as she opened her mouth.

"Don't think, feel." The shinigami eyed his wife as she tried to speak again. Anna finally closed her mouth.

"Good," Tsuzuki said, smiling. He kissed her on the lips.
