Fantastic story! The only canonical friendships are Cassie and Afran, and the Teacher and his Yeerk - there's absolutly no reason why there shouldn't be others. Though, Charlie's reaction seems a little bit too accepting. Maybe that's just me, though - it must have been worked up to and that time has just been jumped.Birds of a Feather

This is a pretty interesting story - it'd be ludicrous to think that all the yeerks were ingrained evil - someone has to be Joe Normal. Nice twist for the ending.Birds of a Feather

Your story engaged me right from the beginning. The world-building and emotions are so vivid that I kept imagining everything as comic panels. If a comic version were created, it would look visually very strong and could attract even more readers.
