Once Jenna and max had finished thier stables they tacked up sully and Trigger and set off out round the festival ground. Trigger had been there seen it all before nothing phased him so he just walked nicely where as sully was dancing around a little and spoiling at the odd thing he seen.
“your mad bringing sully out.” Max laughed as Jenna had just caught back up to him from sully leaping side ways at a flappy sign.
“well he’s got to get used to it some how, how do you think trigger got to where he is today.” She laughed nothing the horses did ever phased her she was a good horse woman all round and more than competent dealing with what ever they thrown at her.
“hey look isn’t that L....” he started to say lives boy but she glared at him and he quickly changed to “.. your old mate from school.” He grinned at her. Joel Benji and Dean where walking down the same path towards them before Jenna had chance to respond to max Joel had already seen them.
“hey Jenna, Benji said he seen you here yesterday.” Joel smiled.
“yeah we quite literally bumped into each other.” Jenna laughed. She noticed Benji look a little awkward. “good to see you how are you?” Joel asked.
“I’m good, really good thanks. And you?” Jenna said.
“yeah same here all good. This is Dean by the way he took over as our drummer.” Joel introduced them they smiled and said hi to each other.
“and this is max.. max, Joel, Dean and Benji.” Jenna introduced. Max did the guy nod.
“I’m her right hand man.” Max joked. Jenna laughed.
“yeh I guess he is.” She nodded knowing she would be lost without him but no need to give him a big head by telling him too often.
“it’d be good to hang out, catch up some time wouldn't be it Benj.” Joel said to Jenna giving Benji a nudge as he seemed in a bit of a world of his own.
“oh yeh, yeh it would.” Benji agreed.
“well she’s practicing her routine at 2.30 in the big top you should come check her out.” Max said knowing the phrase had a double meaning pretending he didn’t Jenna knew exactly what he was up to and the guys pretend they didn’t catch the double meaning. Jenna shook her head a little with a I can’t believe he just done that smile he was defiantly like the annoying little brother. Before anyone had chance to say anything else sully starred spooking and dancing around.
“I think we need to make a move.” Max said as Jenna was dealing with sully.
“gunna have to go guys, nice seeing you again and nice to meet you Dean.” Jenna called from a bouncing sully.
“see you guys later.” Max called as they headed off.
“what the hell did you do that for ‘come check her out’ so embarrassing.” Jenna tried to sound angry but just ended up laughing at max. Max just shrugged cheekily.
“what you embarrassed you don't get embarrassed!” he laughed knowing all the stupid stuff they've done over the years has never phased her.
“you embarrass yourself.” She laughed.
“Not possible.” He grinned proudly.

They finished off their hack, took the horses back and had some lunch whilst watching and chatting with some of the other circus performers practice their shows then went to get puzzle ready for 2.30. Jenna was on and warming puzzle up. Max and Jackie stood at the side of the ring watching. Not long after she had finished warming up and started her routine Benji, Joel and Billy shown up standing at the side by max and Jackie. They said their hellos but all their attention was on Jenna doing her routine. Jenna was so focused on what she was doing she didn’t pay much attention to who was around.
“wow she's really good.” Joel said after they’d watched for a few minutes.
“they don’t hand out Olympic gold medals for nothing you know.” Jackie said proudly. She thought of all of her performers as like her family and her kids and she was always proud and protective of them as if they where.
“gold medal really?!” Billy said as they all looked amazed. Jackie and max smiled and nodded.
“so how do you guys all know each other?” max couldn't help but dig as he knew Jenna was being a bit secretive over something especially to do with Benji.
“we went to school together.” Joel said.
“she always said she travelled round alot and was always at different schools or home schooled.” Max said.
“she was in the last two years with us as they hung around whilst she got her exams done.” Joel said.
“ah right so was you all just good mates?” max said looking from billy to Joel then eyeing Benji more.
“yep just mates.” Benji answered quickly bit not 100% believably.
“we was pretty close as I’m sure you’ll know she had a hard time at home and we was going through a tough time too so we sort of had each other’s backs.” Joel explained a little more seeing max wasn't convinced at Benji saying they was just mates. Max nodded a little more convinced with Joel’s answer but still not 100%. Soon after Jenna had finished her routine and was just sat on puzzle walking off as they cooled off and for the first time she noticed Joel Benji and Billy.
“hey guys I didn't even notice you there.” Jenna smiled as she walked past just getting her breath back. “billy hey good to see you.” She smiled at him as she hadn’t previously seen him yet.
“and you. You was awesome.” Billy said.
“thanks.” Jenna laughed a little she was always modest.
“good job Jenna I'll make sure you can defiantly get at least two spots tomorrow before shows start the day after. If you do come in last thing tonight make sure you bring maxi with you I know your more than constant but I don’t want you alone.” Jackie said.
“will do thanks Jackie I think I might just bring sully in for a bit of work as he was a bit sharp before.” Jenna said.
“ok well make sure max is with you.” Jackie said starting to leave “maxi give me a lift with some of this equipment please.” Jackie called back to him he nodded and jogged over to her leaving Jenna and the boys. Jenna jumped down from puzzle.
“he’s lovely. You’ve defiantly found your dream job haven't you.” Joel smiled giving puzzle a pat.
“he’s such a sweetheart.” Jenna smiled fondly of puzzle. “yeh it is its just the best job in the world I couldn’t imagine doing anything else now and with such great people were like one big family and Jackie just amazing with us all.” Jenna explained.
“that’s good to hear you sound really happy and you deserve it.” Joel smiled.
“thanks and you guys too, making it big.” She smiled. “you worked your asses off for it but it’s paid off. I take it Paul is here with you?” she said as she hadn’t actually seen Paul yet.
“yeh he stayed to do an interview with Dean. You should come watch us play once it all kicks off on Saturday.” Billy said.
“if I’m free I will. I have my hands full here but ill defiantly make some time.” She smiled looking between them hers and Benji’s caught each other for a moment longer billy and Joel looked at each other recognising the spark between Jenna and Benji from years ago.
“right well I need to get this guy back to his stable but hang out if you like Seraya and AJ will be in a minute practising their routines their pretty awesome.” Jenna said they guys nodded and decided to hang around. She headed off back to the stables with puzzle. Seraya came in and done her routine on the high swing with AJs assistance then AJ did his routine balancing strength act.
“hey you guys are Jenna mates aren’t you?” Seraya went over to Joel Benji and Billy as AJ was practicing. Seraya was a lovely bubbly girl always chatty and friendly to everyone.
“yeh we are.” Billy smiled.
“how do you guys know her?” Seraya asked interested.
“we was in the last few years of school with her.” benji smiled.
“ah cool and your in a band right?” she asked.
“yeh good charlotte.” Joel said Seraya nodded.
“we'll have to come see you guys play sometime.” Seraya said.
“yeh you will, all of you.” Billy said.
“you guys are all very talented.” Joel said as they was watching AJ finish off.
“Jackie believes she has the very best performer in every area of the business.” Seraya said proudly.
“I think I'd agree with her.” Benji smiled.
“your girl Jenna is the world’s best horse woman there's no one better with those horses.” AJ added over hearing their conversation and going over joining them.
“you all seem like a close team.” Billy smiled.
“yeh the best we all have each other’s backs and Jackie's like a mother to us all.” Seraya said.
“you guys ok.” Jenna smiled walking over to them.
“yeh just getting to know each other.” Seraya smiled.
“try not to scare them too much then.” Jenna joked laughing.
“hey it’s karaoke thursday tonight you guys should come join us it’s a laugh.” Seraya said excitedly to Joel Benji and Billy as if she’s had the best idea ever.
“oh man you guys don’t need to.” Jenna laughed shaking her head. It was tradition every Thursday night the whole circus team got together for karaoke Thursday with lots of drinks and crazy joking around to let off steam, Jackie called it team building.
“oh I dunno sounds fun to me.” Joel laughed
“you have no idea what your letting yourselves in for with this crazy bunch.” AJ laughed. “and I don’t know what your shaking your head at Jenna you and max are probably the biggest pranksters.”
“so we'll se you later.” Seraya beamed.
“yeh why not.” Billy shrugged with a laugh. Max snuck up behind Jenna with a piece of straw touching her on the neck as if it was a bug. She jumped, screamed and batted at what she thought was a bug. Considering nothing a half ton animal threw at her scarred her she was never good when it came to bugs especially moths and spiders. As she turned she seen max laughing.
“Max!” Jenna shouted then throwing the rest of her water out of her bottle over him. He stopped laughing for a second in shock then ran at her. She screamed again and attempted to run from him. He soon caught up with her and picked her up from behind with his arms around her waist and started carrying her outside.
“Max! Max No!” Jenna was squealing as Seraya, AJ, Joel Benji and Billy followed them outside watching in amusement. Except Benji not quite so amused and only Joel noticed. Max picked up a run and jumped into the little lake with Jenna letting out a final scream as they hit the water. As they surfaced she splashed water at him in annoyance as he was laughing she couldn’t help but laugh too no matter how hard she tried to be angry at him. The guys watched on laughing and they'd also got the attention of everyone else around. Most of the guys from the circus didn't look surprised at all as this was just the normal behaviour around max and Jenna.
Max hopped out of the lake giving Jenna a hand out they walked back over to the others.
“welcome to the madness.” AJ said to Joel Benji and Billy.
“right guys I need to go dry off and get changed but I guess I’ll see you guys later?” Jenna said as she got to them.
“yes defiantly see you later.” Joel said and they all went their separate ways.
“so I see Jenna’s still as crazy as ever.” Billy said as they was heading back over to their tour bus.
“you can say that again.” Joel laughed. “ I guess you’d have to be a certain kind of crazy to do all the stuff she does on those horses though.”
“you can say that again. Hey Benj are you ok you've been a bit quite?” billy asked Joel had noticed too it was since he'd seen Jenna and max together.
“what oh yeh I’m fine.” Benji said seeming distracted. Billy nodded not thing much more of it and walked up the steps of their bus as Benji went to follow him Joel pulled him back.
“Benj what’s wrong?” Joel asked.
“nothing’s wrong.” Benji clearly lied.
“don’t lie you’ve been quite since we seen Jenna and max.” Joel said to the point.
“Do you think their together?” Benji said sounding troubled.
“I dunno, they seem close. Why would it matter if they where?” Joel said as surely it would matter to Benji if Jenna was in a relationship would it as he had a girlfriend something Joel was worried Benji kept forgetting.
“er well I guess it wouldn't.” Benji stuttered.
“Benji do you have feelings for Jenna?” Joel asked abruptly.
“no...yes I think so. I know I used to like her I liked her alot if go as far as loved, love her but its been so long and, and you know things are different now we’re older, she probably doesn't feel the same way and max seems like a great guy...” Benji answered honestly.
“and there’s Mia.” Joel added.
“yeh I know.” Benji trailed off. That’s the second time Benji had spoke about feelings for Jenna and not seemed remotely bothered about Mia when he brought her up Joel thought to himself. “I should just forget about it all.” Benji shook his head and walked onto the bus. Joel decided to leave it there and follow him onto the bus.

LATER THAT NIGHT
It had taken max and Jenna longer than planned with horses that night. The karaoke and drinks where in full swing.
“are we going to head over to the circus guys now?” Paul said excitedly since billy had got back and told Paul about Jenna and the circus invitation to drinks and karaoke he was more than excited to meet back up with Jenna and have a good night drinks included.
“I think I’ll pass and stay here.” Benji said.
“what?” Joel and Paul said at the same time. Paul looked at him like he was genuinely crazy and Joel looked a little concerned.
“aw Benj come on it'll be a laugh.” Dean said.
“yeh and we'll get to have a better catch up with Jenna.” Billy said.
“yeh come on Benj you’ll enjoy it once your there.” Joel said giving him and eye.
“ok fine.” Benji sighed.
“that’s more like it now get a move on.” Paul said heading out the door.

When they got over to the circus area they recognised AJ with another girl up signing but couldn’t see Jenna, then Seraya came walking over to them.
“hey glad you guys could make it.” She smiled. “come get a drink and sit down.” She leading them to a table of drinks then sitting down with them. They said their hellos to each other and introduced Paul Dean and Seraya.
“I take it karaoke isn’t really your thing.” She laughed to Benji Joel and billy as Dean and Paul seemed to be more in the mood for it.
“as long as we don’t have to get up there it’s ok.” Billy laughed.
“So is Jenna around?” Paul asked Seraya.
“erm I think she’ll be out in a minute they was delayed doing the horses.” Seraya said as if on que Jenna and max came out of the horse box together in conversation laughing between themselves they'd clearly had little to drink already. Before they had chance to go over to the GC guys Jackie caught them and got them on the karaoke.
“what are they like.” Seraya laughed watching them.
“if only to be a fly on the wall in that horse box I reckon we could make millions selling them as a t.v. show.” AJ laughed sitting down with them with a beer.
“they live together?” Benji asked. Joel eyes him slightly worried but no one really paid any more attention to why he was asking that question.
“yeh those two do everything together over with the horses and then blend in with the rest of us where needed. We all have these RVs over here.” AJ answered not thinking any more of it.
“so are they together?” Joel asked the million dollar question he thought might as well rip it off like a plaster and then he knew what to be dealing with with Benji.
“what max and Jenna?” Seraya laughed as if it was the funniest thing she’d ever heard but then seen they was mostly serious. “No never they're like brother and sister. Anyway Jenna doesn’t do relationships full stop not that there's not que’s round the block of guys throwing themselves at her feet everywhere we go though. She had really bad time with a guy was seeing he cheated on her and it got really fucked up stuff went on that only Jackie and max know it’s a bit of a taboo subject between them and ever since they've been thick as thieves together.” Seraya said offhandedly as if it was no big deal.
“ah right I see.” Joel said quietly he wasn’t sure really if that was good news or bad news. Just then Jenna and max joined them max sat with AJ and Jenna said hi and gave a kiss on the cheek to Dean then Paul then Billy Joel and finally Benji she lingered on for a moment longer than the others Joel noticed then she sat next to Benji. They all chatted in general getting to know each other and exchanging stories. Joel was half involved in the conversation and wondering what Benji was thinking as he was again a little quite clearly deep in thought. Joel then noticed out of the corner of his eye Jenna had clearly noticed Benji being quiet mixed up in his thoughts then Jenna lean over and say something to Benji quietly. Benji seemed to be snapped out of his thoughts and the two of them engaged in their own little conversation together. They both looked lost in their own little world chatting away closely and laughing together it was like watching them as teenagers again. No one else seemed to have noticed and was still having a big group discussion over anything and everything. Joel was only half joining in the with group discussion the other half of him was a mix of happy for how cute and happy Benji and Jenna where together and at the same time worried about the exact same thing as you could clearly tell there was strong feelings between both of them which only meant trouble for as long as Mia was in the picture but it really wasn't his place to get involved there he just had to hope Benji would do the right thing what ever that is in situations like this and not to mention that Jenna’s friends was saying how she was anti relationships after a bad break up.
A little while later Jenna joined by Seraya went to get more drinks.
“so come on spill girl there's something going on between you and that dude Benji.” Seraya grinned.
“no there’s not.” Jenna laughed but answered honestly.
“ok well there used to be?” seraya stated with a good guess.
“hmm maybe a little.” Jenna answered mysteriously but couldn’t help a little smile coming on her face she never was a good liar.
“girl there’s more chemistry between the two of you than in a science lab.” Seraya exclaimed.
“oh shut it.” Jenna laughed giving her a playful shove.
“I’m not kidding you two a smokin.” Seraya stated.
“we're really not that. was a long time ago.” Jenna brushed off but knowing how right Seraya was.
“girl those feelings don’t go away with time they mature like a fine wine.” Seraya said dramatically Jenna just laughed at her. “I’m serious I can see it in both you guys eyes.”
“see what in who's eyes?” max said walking up to them.
“Jenna and that Benji dude are totally in love.” Seraya said.
“yes see I told you.” Max said to Jenna with a laugh thankful he wasn’t the only one who noticed.
“you guys need to drop it I don’t need any cupids and I certainly don’t need a relationship.” Jenna sighed.
“you need to get off the anti relationship band wagon one day Jenna and it might as well be with someone as hot and as clearly head over heels for you as that guy.” Seraya said walking off ahead of them.
“seriously Jen I know you’ve built up walls since... well you know all that shit with that scumbag and with good reason I understand I really do but you shouldn’t close your heart off fully forever give the guy a chance if there’s something there between you he seems like a nice guy.” Max said seriously to Jenna. He'd always been there for her after how broken her ex left her in so many ways and destroyed all her faith in men what so ever but he really would love to see her happy again in a relationship with a good guy likewise he would bring down a world on pain on anyone who hurts her again. Jenna nodded a bit emotional it was always hard for her to talk about her ex the break up and letting her protective walls down.
“Yeh well we'll see.” Jenna smiled. As they got to their table they'd just sat down and settled back into the conversation when Dave appeared again.
“Jenna darling how are you doing looking fine.” Dave said cheesily and rubbing his hand down Jenna’s arm to which she instantly shook away from him.
“Dave what are you doing here this is a private party.” Jenna sighed irritably and rolling her eyes as the others looked on.
“yeh so why don’t you just go crawl back into your hole and leave us.” Max said clearly angry Jenna shot him a warning look and mouthed ‘not worth it’ to max.
“oh I will gladly with you sweetheart.” Dave said placing a hand on Jenna’s cheek knowing he was pushing Max's buttons.
“get your filthy hands off me.” Jenna flipped smacking his hand of her as she stood up. Max also leapt up and launched towards Dave but Jenna held him back.
“erm excuse me!” Jackie came over. “Dave are you hassling my team again because if you are in will be forced to file an official complaint.” Jackie said she was very intimidating if you got on the wrong side of her.
“not at all, wouldn’t dream of it.” Dave said fakley. Jackie raised an eyebrow at him clearly not believing him she knew exactly what was going on but he was a little too clever never to have anything pinned on him.
“good now leave please this is a private party.” She said in a shooing motion and Dave left. Max had finally sat down but still looked pissed off and Jenna had returned to her seat. Jackie gave Jenna an are you ok nod and Jenna gave an appreciative smile. Jackie patted max on the shoulder to say calm down and then left them to it.
“I didn’t know that asshat was here.” AJ said.
“Yeh you ok Jenna.” Seraya said.
“I’m fine he’s just a fucking creep.” Jenna said lighting up a cigarette. Everyone started to engage in convesation and having a laugh again Erin and Brad from the circus team had also joined them.
“Hey are you sure you ok?” Benji said quietly to Jenna noticing she was a bit quiet since Dave had hassled her.
“what sorry” Jenna said turning to look at him finishing off her cigarette.
“are you sure you ok after that guy.” Benji repeated himself.
“oh Dave? Yeh he's just a nobhead, thinks he’s gods gift.” Jenna brushed off. Benji nodded. “bet your used to it by now anyway having girls throwing themselves at you.” She said flashing him a cheeky smile with her big deep blue eyes framed with her classic dark eye make up he found totally irresistible years ago and nothing changed now.
“oh er well no not really well I...” He stuttered a bit flushed.
“I’m joking.” She laugh playfully patting his upper arm. “well I’m not but I’m just messing with you.” She smiled. They had one of those movie moments when they lock eyes and get lost in them.
“um Jen I'll go do the night check on the horses.” Max cleared his voice interrupting Benji and Jenna’s moment.
“no its ok I’ll go, if rather go myself since Dave’s been hanging round.” Jenna said not to belittle max in any way but she knew more about the horses spot the smallest of things that could turn into something bad.
“ok if your sure.” Max said knowing he wouldn’t be able to change her mind and even if he had gone to do a night check Jenna would still want to see them for herself before they went to bed.
“Max come on we’re up.” Erin said dragging max up to the karaoke.
“right I’ll be back in a minute.” Jenna said more to Benji as Joel Dean and Billy was deep in convesation with AJ and Brad and Paul looked to be getting quite cosey with Seraya.
“I could come with you?” Benji suggested.
“sure” Jenna smiled. They stood and headed over to the stables.
“so your friends all seem really nice and a good laugh.” Benji said as they was walking.
“yeh they are they're a good bunch. We just have a great time having a laugh we try not to take anything too seriously.” Jenna smiled. “Its nice to find somewhere I fit. As you know I was always how can i put it the black sheep of the family and with moving so much when I was younger I never had chance to find close friends well apart from you guys.” She said honestly. He nodded knowingly.
Jenna checked on all three horses giving them all pat and topping up their hay and water. Benji helped opening and closing doors for her.
“so are these your own horses?” Benji asked.
“yep all mine I had puzzle from a youngster and backed and trained him myself. Sully is newest he’s quite a quirky character but he’s never let me down in the ring. And this guy here he’s my Olympic gold medal winner.” She smiled proudly.
“I cant believe you won an Olympic gold medal well no I can because your...” he laughed in amazement and paused before finishing his sentence as he realised he meant in more than just about the Olympic gold medal, Jenna stopped filling the hay net she was doing to give him her full attention waiting for him to finish his sentence “..amazing.” he said quietly as she lifted her head to look at him as he paused he noticed she had a hay seed on her cheek. “come here you have a...” He trialled off as he stepped closer to her placing his palm gently on her cheek and brushing this hay seed away with his thumb. “..hay seed.” He said their eyes locked.
“thanks.” She said in barely more than a whisper both of them lost in the moment and each others eyes. All their old feelings for each other coming rushing back. He hadn't removed his hand from her cheek and before either of them knew it they closed the small gap between them and kissed lips lightly touching for a few seconds yet full of sparks and emotion. They pulled away neither quite knowing what to do or say next. Jenna had never felt for anyone how she felt for Benji and over the years especially since her bad break up with her ex she had managed to forget those feelings and build up walls to protect her self and never let any guy into her heart again then in one small kiss she felt them crumbling down for Benji and that scarred her a little. Benji had always loved Jenna more than anyone knew years ago. At the time he wasn’t sure if Jenna felt as strongly as he did or if she just saw him as a close friend. They was so close as friends they'd even gone further a few times but he loved her so much he was too scared to tell her how he felt and risk loosing her all together if she didn’t feel the same way or if they did have a relationship and it didn’t work out he'd have lost one of his best friends. Little did he know Jenna felt exactly the same way causing her also not to act on her real feelings. Right before Good Charlotte got signed on the big tour they was so close to giving it a go but then him leaving caused it all to fizzle out and over the years they just lost contact. Now he was almost sure she shared the same feelings which made him so happy yet nervous and scarred. Scarred as he was falling... had fallen back in love with Jenna but there was Mia. He knew he didn’t have half the connection with Mia as he had with Jenna but he didn’t want to hurt her either.
“I’ll just finish this net then well head back over.” Jenna said bringing Benji out if his thoughts.
“what, oh yes sure.” He said forcing a smile trying to act like he didn’t have a massive dilemma on his mind.
As they headed back the party was pretty much over with people starting to go back to their vans tents or buses.
“there you are thought you’d got lost you was ages.” Max said with a little smirk as he seen Jenna and Benji coming over.
“oh I just did a few nets and waters.” Jenna said. He raised his eyebrows at her smirking as if that’s not all you’ve done and she just flashed him a cheeky look back.
“right are we heading off I'm shattered.” Billy said walking over to Benji with Joel.
“yeh you coming Benj.” Joel said.
“er yeh sure.” Benji said seeming in his own bubble.
“Dean?” Joel asked as Dean was stood talking to AJ.
“coming.” He called back finishing his convesation and coming over to them.
“where Paul?” billy said.
“Paul looks like he’s quite happy where he is.” Jenna laughed looking over to where Paul and Seraya where still looking quite snug chatting away to each other.
“he does doesn’t He.” Joel laughed.
“yo Paul you coming.” Dean shouted. Paul waved a hand at him as it say leave him.
“looks like he’s staying with us.” Max laughed.
“we have sound check at 10am tomorrow and I know what he’s like.” Billy said.
“I’ll be up and about well before that I'll give him a kick up the ass if need be.” Jenna said.
“you sure? we can drag him back now.” Joel said.
“nah your ok leave him they look happy.” Jenna smiled.
“well it’s been great thanks for inviting us.” Billy said giving Jenna a quick hug.
“yeh it’s good to catch up with you again.” Joel smiled giving her a hug too.
“no problem thanks for coming.” Jenna smiled.
“nice to meet you again.” Dean smiled giving her a small hug.
“you too.” Jenna smiled.
“right well we best be off see you soon.” Joel said.
“I’m sure we will.” Jenna gave a little laugh.
“night Benj.” Jenna said as their eyes met again he gave her a hug that maybe lasted a moment or two longer than it should to just be a simple bye from a friend.
“see ya later.” He said as they broke apart every one eyeing them a little undecided if there actually was anything going on or not. Then the good charlotte guys minus Paul left.
“right we going in now maxi?” Jenna asked feeling very tired now.
“yeh let’s go. Night guys.” Max said throwing an arm around Jenna’s shoulders as they walked toward their horse box.
“night.” Jenna called back to few people still around.
“so other than haying and watering the horses what else did you and Benji get up to?” max smirked as they made their way to the horse box living area.
“that’s it we just chatted" Jenna tried to lie.
“your a terrible liar.” He laughed.
“Ok ok fine we may have kissed.” She said vaguely.
“still think he doesn't like you like that ey?” he raised his eyebrows at her.
“well I dunno actually because he went a bit wired and quiet after it.” Jenna said.
“How do you mean?” max asked confused.
“I dunno really.” Jenna shrugged.
“have you two been together properly before?” max asked.
“no, not far from though. We was always in a sort of limbo of being good friends to do we cross the line into a relationship or not but his band got signed on thier first big tour before we made anything official.” She answered honestly about her past with Benji for the first time without trying to play games to hide her feelings.
“maybe he was just a bit confused with meeting up with you again, old feelings, new feelings and how you felt.” Max said.
“maybe.” Jenna said in her own thought.
“also the fact your so hot he was probably just trying to refrain himself from ripping your clothes off right then and there.” Max said trying to lighten the mood.
“hey you was doing well up until that point with the serious talk.” Jenna laughed. They could and had in the past talked about anything and everything with each other about each other they helped each other as best as they could and listened to the other seriously but also they was comfortable enough with each other to take the Mick out of another too. It like having a same sex best friend but with advantage of opposite sex insight which they always joked about.
“well you know I am a guy after all.” He grinned and shrugged.
“right well anyway I’m off to be I guess we'll just see what happens.” Jenna said she was always a firm believe in what will be will be no point in stressing over it.
