They said they would help us...

They said they would save us...

I really thought that...

He would help...

>Ravio<

I looked at the fire with content, the rabbit I was cooking was over it. I smiled at the rabbit, the aroma filling my nostrils. "Ahhhhhh." I sighed, and pulled out my book, the only book I had: The Holy Historia.

[1]In my former book, Lights, I wrote about all that Link began to do and to teach

[2] until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen.

[3] After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of Hylia.

[4] On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Hyrule, but wait for the gift our Mother promised, which you have heard me speak about.

[5] For Kafei baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

[6] Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Link, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Hyrule?”

[7] He said to them:“It is not for you to know the times or dates the Mother has set by his own authority.

[8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Castle Town, and in all Death Mountain and the Zora Kingdom, and to the ends of the earth.”

[9] After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.

[10] They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.

[11] “Men of Castle Town,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Link, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

[12] Then the apostles returned to Castle Town from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a long day’s walk from the city.

[13] When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, Kafei, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Anju and Kafei the Zealot, and Judas son of James.

[14] They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Anna, the mother of Link, and with his brothers.

[15] In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty)

[16] and said, “Brothers and sisters, the Scripture had to be fulfilled in which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Link.

[17] He was one of our number and shared in our ministry.”

[18] (With the payment he received for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out.

[19] Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Hyrulian that is, Field of Blood.

[20] “For,” said Peter, “it is written in the Book of Lights: “ ‘May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,’and, “ ‘May another take his place of leadership.’

[21] Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Link was living among us,

[22] beginning from John’s baptism to the time when Link was taken up from us. For one of these must become a witness with us of his resurrection.”

[23] So they nominated two men: Joseph called Micahacass (also known as Micah) and Scotticas.

[24] Then they prayed, “Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen

[25] to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.”

[26] Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Scotticas; so he was added to the eleven apostles.

Chapter 8: 1-26

I heard a rustle from the bushes, someone was here. I quickly lifted my hood and notched an arrow. "Who goes there!? I have been surviving in this hellhole for two fucking years, and I have never missed." I pulled the string back more. "Ever." They raised their hands in the air. "Wait! We are friendly!" They came up from the bushes, a man, well-armed and pretty strong-looking, a woman, frail, but looks can fool you, and a girl my age. "What do you want!?" I pulled the arrow back further. "We just need some food. In return, we will give you our daughter." The daughter looked at her dad, stunned. "W-W-What!? You don't know what he'll do to me!" I tossed them a bag of food. "Deal." They shoved her forward, and I caught her. When they were out of sight, I handed her a loaf of bread, placing it in her trembling hands. "F-F-For me?" I nodded. "Why?" I sighed as took a bite out of the rabbit. "Because. You have a better chance on your own, than with them." Her eyes shot toward me. "You're leaving me." I nodded. I picked up my pack and started to walk away. "Where are you going!?" I kept walking. "West." She got up and started to follow me. "Can I please come with you?" She ran up to me and walked at my pace. "No." She sighed. "Why?" I held my hand out in front of her. "What!? You're stopping me!-" I covered her mouth. "Shhhhh." I crouched down and pulled out my bow. "What is it?" She whispered. I shot into the bushes and heard a scream of pain. "The good thing about no cleaning water or soap, means you can smell hijackers from a mile away!" I heard clapping, while the girl hid behind me. "WOW! I am impressed! This man, smelt us! From sixty-seven feet away!" The hijacker leader looked to his buddies. "What does that say about our hygiene?" He looked to my pack. "Tip it over, show us what you got." I shook my head. "Can't do that." The leader laughed. "Can you believe this fucking guy!?" He shoved me. "You listening to me boy? Open the sack... Or die!!" I smiled. "You listening to me?" He nodded. "Touch me again, you won't get those hands back." He laughed even more, and went to shove me. I pulled out Lorule's Master Sword: The Sword of Ash, but I just call just call it Ashy. I sliced his hands off, swiftly and easily. "You... You cut my hands off!" I put the girl behind me, and prepared myself. "What are you guys standing around for!? Kiss him!" The other hijackers looked at each other. "What'd he say?" I pushed the girl out of the way. "He's in shock... I think he meant kill him." They charged at me, five guys. It seemed like everything slowed down. 'Ok, first guy: Slice him open with Ashy.' I did the spin-attack Link taught me, and his guts spilled out, as he fell to the ground. 'Next guy: Pull out the fire rod.' I quickly pulled out the rod, and held it at my hip, and pressed the button, unleashing a huge flame on the second guy. 'Third and fourth guy: Tornado rod.' I pulled out the other rod, and stuck it in their faces, blending them until there was nothing left. "EEK!" I turned around and saw the other one grabbing the girl. I pulled out the bow and shot him in the face. -SNAP- The bow string had to much on it, and it snapped and whipped me in the face. "Ow, shit." I had to get that replaced, or repaired. I kicked the man with no hands to the ground. "Who... Who are you?" I stabbed him in the stomach and whispered in his ear:

"Ravio."

"How did you do that?! That was amazing!" I threw the pack over my shoulder. "It seems like your bow is broken. I can fix it!" She took it from me, and started to restring it. "See! I am useful!" She was actually really fast. "What's your name?" She looked up at me and smiled. "Charlotte." I was speechless. "I... I used to have a friend named Charlotte." I sat down. "Well, maybe I am your friend. Tell me your name." I couldn't tell her my name, everyone thinks I'm dead. I decided against it. "R-R." I tried to force the name out, I hadn't said it in years. "R... Rurli?" I shook my head. "Ravio! My name... Is Ravio." She gaped and pulled me into a hug. "Is it... really you?" I nodded. "Charlotte... It's me." She smiled. "Well, now you have no choice but to take me." I chuckled. "Yeah whatever, but if you fall behind... I can't come back for you." She shivered. "O-Ok. Why are you heading west?" I stopped. "Well, you may not believe me, but! The goddess Hylia told me to head west, and find the last portal to Hyrule!" She looked at me with concern. "But... Ravio, those are just fairy tales." I shook my head. "No! They are not! They're real, I can feel it." I kept walking. "Whatever Ravio, but when you face reality, don't come crying to me." I stopped her and made her sit down. I flipped to the Book of Worlds. "Book of Worlds, chapter 4:11. And Hylia said to The Hero: "Who made man's mouth!? Who made the deaf, the mute, the seeing or the blind!? Did not I!? Now go!" I closed the book. "And how is that important?" I sighed. "Never mind, Thieves Town is just up ahead, we stop there then we head to Misery Mire, and we go beyond that to the ocean." Charlotte tipped her head to the side. "Ocean? What's that?" I sighed again. "Just... You'll see. It's just amazing. At least... I think..." She smiled. "New courage, same old Ravio." I smirked.

"To Thieves Town!"
