I was stunned on the spot. I was on my knees staring at Party’s lifeless body. My breathing was fast and rapid. How could I be so stupid? How could I let this happen? This is completely my fault; I didn’t protect them. None of them.
I couldn’t bring myself to move or take my eyes off his face, it had gone pure white, the blood was pouring out of his chest.
“Guys” Ghoul whispered. “We need to.. move him” He choked out in pure shock.
“No,” Kobra’s voice was low. “No” He repeated, he hadn’t moved from Party’s side either.
Ghost was pacing up and down in a panic “What just happened?” He kept mumbling over and over to himself.
Adrenaline, Thrill, Jet and Missile were in the front room in pure silence, thinking about today’s events.
I felt broken on the inside, I didn’t know what to do or what to think, all I could do was blame myself for this.
“We need to” Ghoul said softly, he had a white sheet in his hand. “We need to give him some dignity” He said quietly resting a hand on Kobra’s shoulder. This just caused KObra to break down again. My tears hadn’t stopped, I was so numb and my eyes were stinging. I reached out my hand for Ghoul to pass me the sheet.
“He is right,” I barely got out. “We need to” I mumbled, still not taking my eyes off Party. I took the sheet from Ghoul and slowly got to my feet before I placed the sheet over Party’s body.
Kobra was a state “THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE FUCKIN HAPPENED” He yelled over and over again and that tore me to shreds. “THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED” He was getting angrier by the second.
I stood up and walked away from Party and the others. I grabbed a bag. I walked over to the basement door and took the pod out that locked up everything and also placed it in my bag.
The others had gone into the kitchen to see Kobra. I swallowed a lump in my throat.
I took this as an opportunity to leave, I ruined their lives, I ruined my own life. Me and Party had gotten extremely close, we were hesitant to put a label on us, that was something I regretted in my soul, I was too paranoid about him getting his heart broke, when he did just case about me. I felt disgusted with myself.
I quietly walked out of the house and got into the car and sped off. I knew Ghost and Missile were in the safest hands. They were better off without me there, I just brought them more chaos and destruction. They were keeping a low profile until I showed up. The tears were blinding me as I drove. I drove and drove and drove. I didn’t even know how far out I was or how long I was driving. I just needed to get away from them, as far away from them as I possibly could for their own protection.
“They deserve to be happy, they don’t deserve to be a target,” I mumbled to myself.
I pulled the car up near an old tree. I was still unaware of my location.
I pulled out the portal gun I had been working on and stared at it. I needed to go somewhere none of them could find me.
I thought of the perfect place.
I raised the portal gun and shot it for the first time in over a year. I gulped
“Here it goes,” I whispered before I stepped through it, into another dimension. Into a place that was completely off the radar, that even Ghost didn’t know about.
A place where my old friends were.
I stepped into an old forest. The vibe was different here. I was stood on an old cobble stone road, surrounded by trees that stretched on. I began my walk through the forest. It was nice to not be walking in sand. The wind hitting my body was light. It was summertime here. The sound of the leaves in the wind was all I heard. It was a comfort. I was too numb to even think if this was the best idea. I knew it would be better off in the long run.
“They are probably not going to be pleased to see me,” I mumbled. I continued to walk for around 20 minutes, until I reached a gate of an old Victorian town. There were kids out in the street laughing and playing, there was old music playing over the speakers. It was as if I had stepped back in time. It was a bizzare feeling.
There was a guard on the gate, who noticed me approaching, I recognized him, his name was Jack.
“Well, long time, no see,” He greeted me with a smile, the smile instantly dropped when he saw the look on my face.
“What happened Louise?” He asked in shock.
“Don’t call me that,” I mumbled “Call me Music,” I whispered. He nodded, “Let’s get you inside, The Black Parade has missed you” He said wrapping an arm around me and leading me into the town.
“I am sure they did,” I whispered, allowing myself to be led, because at this point, I am surprised I’m even standing.
