The day after Ash and I got home from New York, we had a sit down meeting with Cloud.

“So, our lease ends in June,” I started the talk with Cloud and Ash, “I’m moving to L.A. I wanna be with Pete, and it just makes more sense for me to move there than for him to move here.”

“I’m moving in June too.” Ash said. “I was thinking about going home to Green Bay.” She smiled and almost squealed, “But Andy asked me to move in with him while we were in New York.”

“Ash, that’s great!” I said. I was so happy for them. They are so good together.

“Heather got a job in Boston.” Cloud announced. “It starts on June 1st. We’ll need to move in May. I’m already looking for places to rent up there.” He grinned at us. “Look at me, all grown and adulting.” He chuckled.

“So, we’re all leaving this summer.” I stated and looked at my brother and my friend. “I’ve enjoyed living with you two these past few years. I’m gonna miss you both.”

“I’m gonna miss you guys too. But I’m in love with Andy. I want to be with him.” Ash said.

I smiled at her. I know she loves him. “Then you need to be with him.”

“Sissy, I’m not sure how I’m gonna handle being so far away from you. We’ve never lived more than a few miles apart. This is gonna be so strange.” Cloud said.

“Yeah it is. Think you could talk Heather into moving to California?” I asked him with a smile. I knew she was excited for this opportunity, she’s been studying hard for it.

“Maybe in a few years. Maybe after a few winters up there she’ll be ready for someplace warm.” Cloud said with a half smile. “What about Mom?”

“What about her?” I asked without feeling.

“Are you going to tell her?”

“No. She said she wouldn’t forgive me if I ran after Pete. And I’m running as fast as I can to him.” I told my brother.

“Sissy,” he started to say but I interrupted him.

“Brother, she doesn’t want me to be happy. She never has unless it was doing what she wanted. She doesn’t give a fuck about what’s best for me. Only about what she can brag about to her friends. I will not speak to her again unless she apologizes to me for what she said at Thanksgiving. You’re free to have whatever relationship with her you want. Tell her I’m moving if you want. I don’t care. But she won’t hear it from me.”

“Sissy,” Cloud sighed heavily. “Alright. If that’s how you want it.” I could tell he wasn’t happy about my reaction.

“That’s how I want it.” I told him.

Ash spoke up next, “So, we’re going to need to let the landlord know we won’t be renewing the lease. Since it’s in my name and Cloud’s, I can be the one to talk to him.” Ash offered.

“Thanks Ash.”

The three of us started going through our things deciding what to take with us and what we were going to get rid of. I offered some of my furniture to Cloud and Heather. They took my offer for my bookcases and dresser. I was taking boxes of my personal things mostly. I did want to keep my dressing table though. I had found it after I left Jack and moved into the house. I paid $10 for it at a thrift shop. I stripped it, fixed it, and repainted it. I loved it and didn’t want to leave it behind. Pete had told me to bring anything I wanted.

The six weeks the guys were overseas went by both fast and slow. I was busy with work and going through my things. But I missed Pete so bad it felt like I would never see him again. But the weeks did go by and soon he would be back in the country.

According to the itinerary, their last show was going to be on a Wednesday, but they weren’t scheduled to come back to the states until that Sunday. Pete had told me they did that so they had time to get some sleep, but also in case anything like interviews came up.

The day after their last show I talked to Pete early. He told me he was going to be busy all afternoon and probably wouldn’t be able to talk to me later. I understood but I was a bit disappointed.

Cloud and I decided that we would go see a band we both liked that night at the 9:30 Club. He had the night off and Heather was studying for her finals. Ash had to work. She wanted to make as much as she could before moving so she didn’t have to ask Andy for any help with her bills.

We went to see a band called Donna the Buffalo. I kept checking my phone to see if Pete had tried to call or text. I was disappointed that he hadn’t.

I did have a text from Ash asking what time we were planning on heading home. She didn’t want to put the chain lock on the front door if we weren’t going to be very late.

Cloud and I walked home after the concert. It was late April and it had been a nice spring day. The temperature was dropping a bit and it was getting chilly. It was nice to have some time with him. We talked about our future and the plans we both had. He and Heather had found a little house that would allow them to take Roy. I was going to take him if they couldn’t find a place that allowed dogs.

When we got to our street Cloud said, “Not again.” He sounded angry.

I looked up and saw what he was talking about. Once again, someone was sitting on our doorstep. What the hell? Why my house? We got about half way down the block and I recognized who was sitting there. I started to run down the street. It was Pete. He stood up when he saw me and held out his arms.

“Oh my God! Why didn’t you tell me?” I said as I threw myself into his arms. I was so happy to have my arms around him again.

“Wanted to surprise you.” He said as he hugged me tight and spun me around. He put me down and then kissed me. It was wonderful and sweet and I had missed kissing him so much.

“Hey, Pete!” Cloud greeted Pete once he had reached us. “Good to see you!”

“Hey, Cloud. Congratulations on the engagement! If you need a band for the reception, I have connections.” Pete said as he and Cloud did the bro hug thing.

“Have you been sitting out here long?” I asked him.

“No. Ash was in on the surprise. She told me when the concert was over. Why do you think she texted you?” He said with his grin.

“Is Andy here too?”

“Yep. We both needed to see our girls.” Then he kissed me again.

“Let’s go in.” I said as I pulled my keys out.

Andy and Ash were sitting on the couch snuggled up together.

“Andy! It’s good to see you.” I said as I went over to get a hug from him.

“Hey Sky.” He said as he gave me a hug. “Hey Cloud. I hear you’re engaged, congratulations!” He said as he greeted my brother.

“Thanks! We’re excited to get married.” Could said with a big smile.

Pete yawned big. I knew they both must be tried.

“You wanna head up and get some sleep? Or are you hungry?” I asked him.

He nodded and said, “Ash already fed us. But, I need some sleep. And I know I’ll actually be able to if you're next to me.” He was still holding onto me. He hadn’t let go since I ran up to him.

“Okay, let’s head up.” I said to him, I turned to look at the others in the room. “Night. See ya in the morning.”

We got a chorus of Goodnights as we left the living room. I could hear Ash and Andy also heading up the stairs.

“I’m so fucking happy you’re here. I’ve missed you so much.” I told him as we made our way up the stairs to my room.

“Me too. I don’t want to be separated from you for so long ever again.”

We reached my room and I noticed all of his bags were already there.

“Where’s Hemmy?” I asked.

“Still with Mom and Dad.”

“How long can you stay?”

“Until you move out. I’m not leaving here without you.” He was standing in front of me as he said this. He pulled me into a hug and then continued. “I mean it. I’m never gonna be separated from you that long ever again.”

“You’re gonna stay until June? But don’t you have to go back on tour in June?” I asked in disbelief.

“I have a plan. I’ve been thinking about this. But we’ll talk about it tomorrow. Right now, I want to crawl into bed with you and just hold you. I’m not sure if I can stay awake long enough to enjoy being in your bed again. But I need to hold you.” He pulled back from the hug and looked at me.

I smiled at him and lifted one hand to rest on his cheek. “Let’s go to bed. I don’t sleep well without you either.”

We headed to bed and snuggled up together. “I’ve missed this so much.” Pete whispered to me. “Never again. I’m never going six weeks without you again. Not ever.” And then he promptly fell asleep. I wasn’t too far behind him.

We slept through the night and got a good night's sleep. We slept for over seven hours. I woke up to him cuddling up to me. I was just happy to have him next to me. I slept better that night than I had in weeks. I never wanted to go that long again without seeing him. Oh, I knew there would be times that we would have to be separated in our future. But I would do everything I could to keep that to a minimum.

I was so content I didn’t want to get out of bed. I stayed cuddled up with Pete until I had to get up to pee. That unfortunately woke him up.

“No, don’t go.” He said without opening his eyes.

“I just need to pee. I’ll be right back.” He let go of me and allowed me to get up. By the time I left the bathroom he was up and sitting on the edge of the bed. He needed to use the bathroom too.

I was sitting up waiting for him to emerge from the bathroom. I was awake and didn’t want to go back to sleep. But I wasn't ready to get out of bed. He was here and I wanted to be held, toughed, kissed, fucked. While he was in the bathroom I pulled off what I had slept in. I slipped naked back into the bed and pulled the covers up to my chest.

He came out of the bathroom in only his boxer briefs. I gave him the look, flipped the covers over and patted the bed next to me. He stopped, smiled, and shed his underwear. He quickly got back in bed.

“I missed you so much.” I told him as he slid back into bed.

“I missed you too.” He said and then kissed me.

“Let me show you just how much I missed you.” I said as I rolled us over so I was on top of him. He just pulled me down and kissed me deeply.

Both of us were in need of physical affection and it didn’t take long at all for us both to climax. Then we took our time and showed each other again just how much we missed the other one.

As we laid in my bed recovering from our orgasm highs, we talked. He told me about his plan.

“So, I was thinking, I’ll stay here and help you pack up your things. We can rent a U-Haul trailer or a truck and drive your stuff back to California.” He told me.

“My car doesn’t have a trailer hitch. But, I guess we can have one put on. I don’t plan on bringing anything too big. Just my personal stuff. The only furniture I want to take with me is my dressing table. We could probably fit everything into one of those small trailers.” I said as I thought over his plan. “Yeah, I think that will work.”

“We can stop by my parents house and pick up Hemmy on the way. And knowing Mom and Dad, they’ll want us to stay a day or two. If we have time.”

“When do you have to be back in L.A.?” I asked him.

“No later than June 11th.” He informed me.

“Okay, we can make that happen.” I agreed.

Instead of getting up and packing, we stayed in bed just a little bit longer. It had been a long six weeks. And I had missed him terribly.
