“Hello everyone! For those of you that are new here, welcome! For those of you that have been here before, welcome back! I’m Moon and this is my channel Adventures with Girl in the Moon. This afternoon I’m on a bus on the way to Portland Oregon. Pete’s band is on the road again and I’m traveling with them. We have Saint and Marvel with us. And Bowie the dog, as well as Fred and George. So, we have our own bus. Really it’s more an RV. And it’s nice. I thought I'd show you all where we'll be living for the next six weeks.”

I turned the camera around and started to show off the bus we were in. “This is the lounge and kitchen area.” The kids were sitting at the table working on a coloring book. “Said Hi to the YouTube family.” Both Saint and Marvel smiled and waved at the camera. “And this is Bowie.” Bowie had come up to me wanting some attention. “Back here are the bunks for the kids and our driver.” I showed where the kids were bunking down. “And back here is the bedroom. Pete and I are back here.” Pete was stretched out on the bed reading a book. Reading is one of his favorite pastimes. He looked up and flashed a smile at the camera. He was the one that encouraged me to film during this tour. He liked that I made videos and he liked being part of them.

I turned the camera back to face me and sat down on the edge of the bed. “Ok, guys, I need to be very honest with all of you. And this is mostly for all you new viewers that have joined me since New Years. Even though I am traveling with the band, I’m not going to be showing them, unless they want to be on camera. But their family’s will not be shown. The partners/wives/girlfriends and the kids of the other band members are not going to be exploited for views. So, if you’re expecting to see a lot of Fall Out Boy on here, I’m sorry, but that’s not gonna happen. But, if you want to see where we go, the cities we travel to, or the mini adventures we take the kids on, then you’re in the right place. That’s it for right now. I’m gonna go spend some time with the kids and my Sweetie. I’ll show you guys Portland when we get there tomorrow. We’re going to take the kids to a science museum that’s very family friendly, I’ll bring y'all along for that. See ya then.” And then I turned the camera off.

I turned to Pete and crawled over to cuddle with him on the bed.

“Hey, Baby.” He said as I rested my head on his shoulder.

“Hey, Honey.” I replied.

“Do you really think you needed to put in there that you’re not gonna be showing the other guys or the families?” He asked me.

“Yes. With all the new subscribers I have, I felt it was needed. Have you been reading the comments?”

I had been monitoring the comments on my videos as normal. And from some of the comments that had been left, I know for a fact a lot of my newer viewers were here just because of Pete. Most the of the comments regarding him or the kids were positive. But there were a few that were just nasty. And there were a number of people that thought the channel should be nothing but Fall Out Boy now. That just wasn’t going to happen. It’s my channel and it’s all about my life and my adventures. Pete, Bronx, Saint, and Marvel were now part of my life and adventures, but Fall Out Boy wasn’t.

“No, I’m sorry to admit it, but I haven’t been reading them. Have they been bad?” He asked.

“Some have been nasty, most are good. But there have been a lot of new viewers that have started watching just because of you. And they want more of you and Fall Out Boy.” I told him.

“How did anyone outside of your viewers even find out I’m on your channel now?” He asked, sounding very surprised his fans had found him on my channel.

“You were recognized the first time you and the kids were on my channel. When we first met.”

“Really? I didn’t realize that. I don’t remember seeing any comments on that video.”

“I removed them as I saw them. I didn’t want the attention. And I wanted to give y’all as much privacy as possible. You were just my friend, nothing else about you mattered. I tried to keep it that way. And when we went to Joshua Tree, you were recognized then too. But I told you at New Year’s when I made that post about getting off the road, some of my viewers would know who you were. And I guess a few of them talked about me and my channel on Reddit. I saw a post a few weeks ago on the FOB subreddit about me. I didn’t read past the original post. At least it was a nice one. The person that posted only had nice things to say about me. They’d been watching before I met you and were encouraging others to watch.”

“We have a subreddit?!”

“How do you, of all people, not know that?” I asked in disbelief. “I haven’t checked, but I’d be surprised if you didn’t have a subreddit just for you.”

The look on his face made me giggle. “Now I’m gonna have to go look. Am I going to like what I read?” He asked me.

“Probably. Most of the posts I’ve seen are good ones. Mostly just fans talking about the music they love, why they love it and you guys. What songs mean the most to them. How excited they are to go to one of your shows. That kind of thing.”

“Hmm, I’ll check it out later. What kind of nasty comments are you getting?”

I sighed and said, “Mostly that I’m not good enough for you. I’m not pretty enough or I’m too old. One viewer just does not approve of us and makes it known. I had to block them.”

We had been laying next to each other as we talked. He rolled over so he could see me better after I told him about the viewer I blocked. “I think you’re gorgeous. And we’re the same age. How can you be too old for me? You are so right for me. Don’t let anyone make you think you’re not.”

I smiled at him and said, “Don’t worry, that never crossed my mind. You are too perfect for me. I won’t let a stranger tell me otherwise.”

He grinned at me and then kissed me. “You know, if you want me to, I can be in more of your videos. Or less, whatever works best for you.”

“I’m gonna show you and the kids as much as I’m comfortable with. It’s my channel and I’ll make that call. I’m not going to take advantage of you or your fame.”

He smiled again, kissed me one more time and then said, “Ok, your channel, your call. And I’ve never thought you were taking advantage of me in any way.”

He rolled off me and I sat up. “I’m gonna go see what the kids are up to.” I smiled down at him and then I got up and left the bedroom.

The kids were watching a movie. I asked if either of them wanted a snack or something to drink. Juice boxes and cheese sticks were gotten out of the fridge, I joined them on the couch to watch with them. Pete joined us just a few minutes after I had sat down. I loved it when we spent time together as a family.

We had dinner and did bedtime as normal as possible. After the kids were asleep we retired to the bedroom. We hung out and worked. We both had our laptops open. I had completed my fourth book and was going back and forth with my editor. He was working on lyrics.

“You still working with your editor? Any idea when the book will come out?” He asked me as he closed his computer.

“Yes. And hopefully this summer. I don’t like the suggested edits she wants me to make. It will change too much. I think I’m just going to submit it as is. I’m done working on this one.” I said as I closed my email.

“Are you going to write another one?”

I didn’t have an idea for another one right now. But I did have lots of inspiration for the smutty scenes.

“Not right away. Don’t really have a story in mind.” I was quiet for a few moments before telling him something I’d been keeping to myself. “But I have been working on writing out Marvel’s story. The one I started to tell her that first night we met. I like it and want to find an illustrator to turn it into a picture book for her.”

“You’ve never said anything about that. Why didn’t you tell me before?” He asked.

“I was kinda hoping to surprise you and her with it. But it’s so cute, I have to let you read it. I’m not interested in publishing it. It’s just something special for her. I want to find someone that will do the drawings.”

I opened the file with Marvel’s story and handed it to him. “Tell me what you think.”

He took my laptop from me and read the story I had written. It’s a children’s story so it didn’t take him long to read it. He looked up at me when he was done with his sweet and tender smile. “This is fucking awesome. She’s going to love it. I think Saint and Bronx would be honored to have a copy too. They’re in it too.”

I grinned at him. “Of course they’ll get one.”

“Do you know where you’ll find an illustrator?” He asked me.

“Online. There are lots of sites where people sell their skills. I’ve been looking. I’ll find someone.”

“You are so fucking perfect for our family. You know that, right?”

“Or maybe it’s you and your family that’s perfect for me.” I smiled at him.

“Either way, I’m so fucking glad we found each other.”

“Me too.” I said as I closed my computer and then rolled over and cuddled with him.

We settled down and slept as our driver took us north to Oregon.

We got to Portland the next day. Because it was the day before the first show we were set up in a hotel for two nights. We were put in a suite with two bedrooms. The kids got one, we got the other. After getting checked in and meeting up with Andy and Meredith, we took the kids to the science museum. The other families hadn’t made it to Portland yet but were expected later that evening. Everyone was coming from different places. We came from L.A., Andy and Meredith came from Milwaukee, Patrick, Joe and the families were coming from Chicago.

We had a good time at the museum. And both Meredith and Andy wanted to be in the vlog. So, they were all on camera. By the time we got back from the museum everyone else had arrived. We kind of took over the restaurant at the hotel as all of us and a few of the crew decided to have dinner together.

During the dinner I talked with both Marie and Elisa and assured them and their husbands that I was not going to be filming or showing their children on my channel. Patrick and Elisa were very grateful to hear that.

Joe and Marie were a bit more relaxed about the girls. Marie told me that as long as I didn’t name them, it was alright if the girls were seen in the videos. I was still going to do my best to keep them out of the videos as much as possible.

“So, Moony, are you excited to be on tour with us this time?” Meredith asked me during dinner. She had already told me she liked calling me Moony instead of Grace. I was fine with it. In fact most of the band, their families, and the crew all called me Moon or Moony even though all of them had been introduced to me as Grace.

“Very. Do you know I’ve never had the chance to see them in concert? I’m looking forward to seeing the show tomorrow.”

“I’ll be happy to take the kids tomorrow night so you can watch from the floor if you want.” Marie offered.

“Thank you. Yeah, that’d be great.” I said to her.

“I’ll help too. I love to watch Andy on stage, but I’ve seen the show already. I can stay up in your room and put them to bed for you. That way you can watch the show and spend the after show with Pete.” Meredith volunteered.

“Will you two be ok with that?” I asked Marvel and Saint.

“Will you still read to us first?” Saint asked me.

“Of course I will.”

Saint nodded and said, “Ok. But you have to come and kiss me goodnight when you come back.” He was very serious about this requirement.

“I promise.” I told him with a smile. I glanced up at Pete to see his sweet and tender smile.

“Moony, will you kiss me too?” Marvel asked. Even though she had asked me at Christmas if she could call me Mommy, she didn’t most of the time. Both her and Saint had called me Moony since we had met. I think both of them were still in the habit of calling me that. And to be honest, I liked Moony more, it was special to me.

“Yes I will. Your Dad will too. I promise.”

Everyone was a bit tired by the time dinner was over. So everyone headed up to their rooms. Marvel wanted a song and some cuddles before she would go to bed. Pete and I got them to bed and then headed to our room.

Pete was very keyed up and had a lot of pent up energy. I was more than happy to help him burn it off.

As we lay in bed together after sex he said, “I should warn you about something.”

I was on my stomach with my arms folded so I could lay my cheek on my hands. My head was turned towards him. He was on his side, one hand propping his head up. He was taking advantage of this position and was running his other hand over my butt and lower back. He really likes my butt and legs.

“What’s up?” I asked.

“Umm... I get very worked up when I’m on stage. I’ll be in need of some… release when I get off stage.” He gave me a very meaningful look as he told me this.

“So, you’ll need to fuck my brains out when you get off stage?” I asked with a flirty smile.

He answered in a deep husky voice. “Yes. Yes I will.”

“Oh, I’ll be happy to help you out with that.” I said as I leaned up and kissed him. “In fact, we can burn off some more of that energy right now if you want.” I snaked my arm around him and pulled him close.

The next day was the first show on this, the last leg of the tour. The guys had an interview with a local radio station that morning. Then they had sound check and a few other things that took up their morning and early afternoon.

I got the kids up, fed and ready for the day. We were taking all the kids, dogs and Fred & George out to a park to let them play hard and get all their energy out. And I didn’t put either of the kids down for a nap. I wanted them to be tired and ready to sleep for Meredith.

When we got back to the hotel I got lunch for them. Then we spent the afternoon doing school work. Saint had a few things he had to turn in that day. Before we left on the tour I had gone out and found a bunch of workbooks for Marvel so we could keep up with her letters, numbers and her writing skills.

Pete came back as the kids were doing school. We were sitting around the small table in the main room of the suite. Marvel was working a worksheet with the alphabet and Saint was finishing up his math for the day.

“Hey guys! I’m back. And I bring food.” Pete greeted us as he got back to the room. He came in with two large plastic bags full of take out containers.

“Hi Dad!” “Daddy!” “Hey! How was your morning?” We greeted him back. The kids and I all went to see what he had brought us.

It was a bunch of Mexican food. And it smelled so good. Even though we had already had lunch we ate again.

Pete told us about his day and the interview. We told him about the park. He had a few hours to relax before he needed to head to the venue. Meredith came over about half an hour before we had to leave.

I got the kids and Meredith set and then Pete and I headed out to meet up with the others and grab our rides over to the venue.

It was a fun and amazing night for me. I finally got to see them in concert. And they are fantastic on stage. I knew I’d be watching them every show for the next six weeks, but this was the first one for me. And I got to see it from the pit with a bunch of other fans. It was great.

I knew the set list and when I heard them go into Bang the Doldrums I headed to the side exit. That would give me enough time to get backstage and be there with the other families to greet them when they left the stage.

Pete was right, he was fired up and ready to go when he got off stage. We left pretty much right away. So did the other families and we headed back to the hotel.

When we got back to our room Meredith left and we kept our promise and went to give the kids a kiss. Both of them were asleep, but woke up enough to return the hugs and goodnights.

Then Pete pulled me into our room to burn off some energy. I was more than happy to help him out with that. And I have to say, seeing him on stage was a huge turn on for me.

The next morning we all got back on our buses and headed north to Seattle. This started our routine for the next month and a half. We usually traveled at night and slept through it. We tried to take the kids out as much as we could. Usually everyday unless we were traveling.

If there was a show the evenings were spent backstage and watching the shows from the wings of the stage. If there wasn’t a show, Pete spent the time with me and the kids. It was about every third night.

Fred, George, and I quickly became favorites of the kids and the crew. Everyone thought that the cats were just too much fun. They came with us on their leashes when we took the dogs out. All the kids just thought it was so funny to see cats walking on leashes with the dogs. It is unusual, so I understood why they thought that. And the boys were just in love with the kids. They were already attached to Saint and Marvel. They took to the other kids right away. They never had any issues with being picked up by the kids. Or with the kids getting a bit too excited with them. When they had enough they just came and found me.

The guys spent as much time with us, the families, as they could. But they were working so there were many days we didn’t see Pete until the afternoon a few hours before the show.

I spent a lot of my days with Marie, Elisa, and Meredith. I liked these women. They understood what life with a musician was like. The other Fall Out Babies were all between the ages of almost ten to five. Marvel was the youngest, Ruby was the oldest. We went to as many places and activities as we could with the kids. And when they could, the guys joined us. And I filmed most of it, but only used the footage without the kids in it.

While we were on the road I found an artist to do the illustrations for Marvel’s book. I sent her the book and pictures of the kids. By the time we were done with the tour, the book was done. And it was so stinking cute! I had also started a story for Saint. I was going to use the same artist for his story. I decided to not give Marvel her book until I was done with Saint’s. And I had a story idea for Bronx too. His wasn’t going to be a picture book. But I couldn’t do it for the younger ones and not for him.

We got back to L.A. the second week of April. I had enjoyed traveling, but trying to coordinate so many people was not something I would want to do on the regular. But it was nice to be on the road again. I didn’t realize how much I had missed it. And we hadn’t done any camping since Christmas. I was missing that too. I decided to talk to Pete about it once we were back home.

After we had been home for about a week, I brought up the idea of driving to the East coast when we visited my family. Pete and I were in the kitchen cooking dinner together. The littles were playing in the playroom, Bronx was in his room.

“I was thinking about our trip this summer to see my family.” I said to start the conversation.

“Yeah? What did you have in mind?” He asked absently as he tasted the gravy he was making. “Needs more sage.” He picked up the herb and sprinkled more into the pan.

“How would you feel about driving?” I asked him. I was on the other side of the island slicing the chicken I had grilled so I could serve it over the rice. We had veggies too and the gravy Pete was making.

“Driving? Like, go on one of your adventures?” He grinned at me.

“Yeah, but this time I get to take you and the kids. I miss being on the road. I realized that when we were on tour with you. I liked it, and want to do it again. But I miss being in Luna, and I miss being outside.”

Pete poured the gravy into the gravy boat and put the pan in the sink. “Ok, tell me what you’re thinking. Do you have the route planned out already?” He leaned against the sink and crossed his arms and gave me his full attention. But the smile on his face told me he was up for my idea.

I looked up from the plates I was making for everyone. I smiled at him and said, “I’ve taken it before. We can comfortably make it from here to Dad’s in a week. But we would drive every day. Or, we can take longer if we want. Take a few breaks along the way. But I want to be at the farm no later than the first of July. Dinner’s ready. Go call the kids to the table.”

He pushed off from the sink but instead of leaving to call the kids, he walked over to me.

Smiling, he said, “Let’s go on an adventure this summer.”

Grinning back at him I said, “We’re gonna have a great time.”
