True Heart Bear woke up her husband Oopsy Bear still asleep next to her. She smiled today was Thanksgiving and all of the Care Bears, Care Bears cousins, Dibbles, and Wingnut the robot would join them for a Thanksgiving feast. She placed a paw on her swollen belly feeling movement from their unborn daughter and giggled. "It looks like you're excited for Thanksgiving too."

She leaned over towards Oopsy and shook him awake.

"Oopsy honey it's time to get up"

"Can't we sleep in a little longer?" Oopsy replied groggily

"No Oopsy, today is Thanksgiving day, we need to get ready for the others since they all will be coming over here to eat and visit."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that, True Heart. Okay let's get things ready, but I want you to take it easy."

"Oh Oopsy the baby isn't due for another few weeks, I'm fine."

"I don't know, True Heart, Take Care said the baby could come any day now and I got this funny feeling, I'm going to help you and I want to rest, and I'm not taking no for an answer."

"Oh alright Oopsy, you can help and if I start getting tired I'll rest."

"Thank you, True Heart, now let's get ready for our guests."

Just then Wingnut came into the bedroom.

Oopsy tried getting out of bed and ended up tangled in the blankets, fell off the bed, and landed in front of Wingnut. Wingnut helped Oopsy up and heard True Heart sigh.

"I hope you don't do that when you help me or we'll never get done in time."

"I don't always have my oopies, True Heart."

"For the most part you do, I just want everything to be perfect."

"Are you saying that I mess things up, for you and everyone else, really True Heart that hurts?"

Oopsy was about to say something else but stopped when he saw tears in her eyes.

"I'm sorry True Heart honey I wasn't trying to make you feel bad."

"No Oopsy I'm the one who is sorry I didn't mean to snap at you. I'm just so stressed I just want everything to be perfect."

It's okay True Heart, come on let's start this all over, and I try not to do my oopies."

"Oopsy I know you aren't doing it on purpose, I did marry you for thick and thin. You are Oopsy Bear after all."

"True Heart, it's fine, let's go get things ready for Thanksgiving."

True Heart and Oopsy walked into the kitchen with Wingnut right behind them.

Oopsy put the turkey in the oven, while True Heart started making the mashed potatoes.

"The turkey is in the oven I just have to wait until it's done. You need help with the mashed potatoes honey?"

"No, but if you want to start the stuffing and gravy for the turkey you can do that."

"Sure True Heart I can do that."

"And then for the pies, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, rolls, casseroles, and drinks, we can decide who will do what. But since Me Bear can't eat apples or anything with apples we're going to have to make sure the food doesn't get cross-contaminated. I would feel horrible if Me Bear got sick." True Heart said

"How about we make the apple pie last, so cross-contamination doesn't happen True Heart."

"Sounds like a great idea Oopsy, and I was thinking maybe we can do the other food together before the apple pie."

"Yeah that sounds like it will work better that way and we'll get done quicker," Oopsy replied

"I don't know about you True Heart but I will be glad for next year since Princess Gig will have her servants do all the cooking, don't get me wrong I love having everyone in Care-a-lot all together and all but all of this cooking takes a lot of time and effort to do, so it will be nice to have someone else do everything for once."

True Heart giggled "Yeah Oopsy, I have to agree with that, that's too bad that she and the others from Joke-a-lot couldn't make it to Care-a-lot this year."

Oopsy and True Heart looked at the list. " Everything is done and we still have some before everyone comes over. How about we take a break" Said Oppsy

"Sounds good Oopsy, I don't know about you but I'm going to take a bath" True Heart replied

Oopsy thought for a moment "All of that cooking did make me kinda sweaty and Messy, I think I hop into the other bathroom and shower, and then if there's still time we can read, listen to music, or watch something until the others come over."

True Heart nodded, "That's fine with me."

True Heart then looked at all of the food. "Cleaning up is going to be fun, Oopsy honey would it be alright if after the Thanksgiving feast is over and everyone has left we'll clean up tomorrow?"

"Sure True Heart, we can do that."

"Thanks, Oopsy, never expected that preparing for a Thanksgiving meal would be so tiring, and being in my final month of pregnancy doesn't help either."

"Now you know why I wanted you to take it easy honey," Oopsy said

"Yeah, next time I listen to you and Take Care." True Heart replied

Oopsy kissed True Heart on the forehead "Do you want some help getting into the bath?"

True Heart thought for a moment. " I think I can manage but if I do need help I'll let you know."

Oopsy nodded "Okay!"

"I needed that bath, it was so relaxing. how was your shower Oopsy?" True Heart said as she sat down next to Oopsy on the couch.

"Yeah, I enjoyed my shower too," Oopsy replied as he pulled a blanket over both of them.

"Since we still have some time before everyone else gets here, I put in that romance movie you like so much."

True Heart kissed Oopsy, thanks Honey, I'm so happy to have you as a husband."

Oopsy turned red, "It was nothing really, but I'm really happy to have you as a wife too."

True Heart leaned against Oopsy and Oopsy put a paw around her and the two watched the movie.

After the movie was over Oopsy looked at the clock.

"I'm going to put everything on the table since the others will be here soon," Oopsy said as he laid the blanket over True Heart

"I can help you with that Oopsy."

"I can handle it fine True Heart, I want to rest some more, I'll come to get you after I set everything out."

"Okay Oopsy, I'll wait here for you."

"Thank you, True Heart."

After Oopsy was finished, he came back into the living room to get True Heart led her to the table, and helped her to a chair at the dining room table.

Not long after they hear the doorbell.

True Heart was about to get up but Oopsy stopped her.

"I'll get it True Heart."

True Heart nodded and Oopsy went to answer the door.

When he opened the door, Wish Bear her husband Too Loud, and their cubs. Me Bear and her husband Messy Bear with their cubs were right behind them.

"Hi, Wish, Too Loud, Booming and Twinkle Star. Me Bear Messy, Ego, and Windy, how are all of you doing?"

Fine Oopsy, where is True Heart?"

"She is waiting for everyone at the table, go on and make yourself comfortable."

Oopsy was about to close the door when he saw Cheer and Grumpy

"Grumpy, Cheer Hi."

"Hey, Oopsy." They both replied

"Are we the first ones here?" Asked Grumpy

"No Wish, Too Loud, Me, Messy, and their kids are here."

Oopsy led them to the table, and not long after others started showing up. When everyone showed up and got comfortable, they went around the table saying what they were thankful for. Then they started eating.

True Heart noticed that Oopsy had forgotten one of the drinks and went to get it.

True Heart opened the fridge and was about to grab the drink when a pain in her belly hit. She groaned grabbing her belly. Not long after the pain went away and she sighed in relief. She grabbed the drink and closed the fridge door

Just as she was about to walk back to everyone she felt liquid run down her legs and form a tiny puddle.

"Oh no, I can't give birth now." Then she thought of what Take Care said about being in labor for hours and hours, so she thought she would be fine.

"You're just going to have to wait till after the feast to be born."

After cleaning up the mess she walked out to the table and set the drink down.

"Are you okay Honey?" Oopsy asked

"Oopsy I'm fine."

"Okay if you say so."

At first, the pain wasn't too bad but when it started becoming uncomfortable she would go into the kitchen and breathe and then come back.

One time Oopsy followed her

"Are you sure you're okay True Heart?"

"I'm fine Oopsy."

"You're in pain, are you in labor?"

"It's just the false labor that Take Care said would happen."

"Um okay, True Heart if you say so."

True Heart continued going back and forth from the kitchen to the dining room.

One time True Heart was about to stand up when she clutched her belly and cried out in pain.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked over at True Heart with worry


"True Heart honey are you sure it's just false labor?" Asked Oopsy

True Heart cried out in pain again

Take care got up and walked over towards True Heart.

"How long have you been in pain?"

"A ....few hours... My water...broke not long ... after everyone got here."

"True Heart, why didn't you tell me?" Oopsy said

True Heart started crying "I didn't want to ruin the feast and at first the pain wasn't too bad."

"I'm going to need to check you True Heart." Said Take Care

Take care took True Heart to the bedroom and checked her out.

"You are in labor True Heart, and that baby is coming"

"But I can't give birth now not on Thanksgiving day."

"You can't choose when babies come, you're going to give birth, find a nightgown, and put it on, I'm going to get Oopsy and Pink Power and tell the others that the baby is coming."

After Take Care told everyone what was happening and got Oopsy and Pink Power she helped True Heart into bed.

"Uncle Tenderheart is True Heart going to be okay?" Asked Wonderheart

"Don't worry Wonderheart, she's in good paws She will be fine ."

"Can I see her uncle Tenderheart please?"

"I'm sorry but not right now. It's okay Wonderheart I promise, you can see her later okay."

"Okay, Uncle Tenderheart."

"Wonderheart sweetie come here." Said Grams Bear

Wonderheart walked over towards Grams Bear where all of the cubs were sitting.

"Who wants to hear a story?" asked Grams Bear

" Yes, the cubs answered."

Grams Bear kept the cubs distracted while True Heart labored

Take Care walked out of the bedroom and walked over to the others, and Cheer asked how True Heart was.

"She's fine and so is the baby."

"Can we see her?" Asked Cheer

"Not right now, Cheer she needs to rest."

"Okay Take Care."

Not long after Oopsy walked out of the bedroom with his and True Heart's newborn daughter

"Everyone meet Star Heart Bear."

Oopsy walked around to everyone, showing her to them.

After everyone left, Oopsy picked up Star Heart and handed her to True Heart.

"She's amazing, I can't believe she came today Oopsy"

"Yeah, I guess she wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving with us." Oopsy laughed

True Heart laughed

"How about we all get some sleep," Oopsy said

"Okay." True Heart said handing Star Heart to Oopsy

Oopsy placed Star Heart in her crib

"Good night my little Star Heart."

Oopsy turned off the light, closed the door, walked back to True Heart, and lay next to her.
