Danny arrived home one night, transformed into his human self, and rolled his aching shoulders. He had a little energy left, so he wanted to take a shower. He smelled himself and confirmed, yes, he needed a shower.
Taking off his shirt, he caught his reflection in the mirror. His hair was a disheveled mess, as always. His eyes seemed dull from sleeplessness. But worst of all were the scars of old wounds crisscrossing his torso. He touched one on his chest, right over his core. That one he got from his fight with Pariah Dark.
Danny shook off images of the fight. It wasn’t his worst one, but it was bad. He finished getting undressed and climbed into the shower.
Showers were a rare luxury due to his busy schedule. Tonight, he would indulge.
