0 reviewsTo be read after What You Want 3. What’s it like inside the Fenton Thermos? Let’s explore with Desiree.

The sucking sensation ended, and Desiree opened her eyes. A black expanse surrounded her. She sensed the presence of two other ghosts with her, though both were weak. One was large, green, and had bulging muscles–the ghost she created for the sports player. The other was small, also green, and had a big, cat-like head. This was the ghost she created for that popular girl.
The large ghost was curled up and sucking his thumb. What had caused it to act so pathetically? The cat ghost rambled about something in a high pitch. As Desiree got closer, she heard her words.
“–wonderful and spectacular and–Oh! A new visitor! Do you know where we are?”
Desiree crossed her arms, and her fingers twitched. “We are inside a contraption that belongs to that interloper who ruined my spellbinding.”
“Amazing!” the cat sang and twirled around. “Isn’t it just incredible in here?”
Desiree now knew why the large ghost acted the way it did. She resisted the urge to slap her forehead with her palm.
“No,” she said. “We are imprisoned, and it does not look like there is any way out.”
The cat ghost flew up to Desiree. “The world is so fabulous and outstanding and–”
“Be quiet!” Desiree snapped.
The cat pouted at her and, with a sad “Meow,” floated away.
That was better. Now, what to do…? Perhaps all she could do was wait. She wanted to wring the neck of that boy, but how could she if she was trapped in an endless void? Perhaps he would release her eventually. Then she could get her revenge.
A long time later, another ghost appeared in the blackness. He arrived headfirst and was stretched out, as if he were being pulled through a straw. The arrival lasted half a second, and a beast of a ghost roared into the void. He looked like he was once the friend of the ghost boy, but he was now a hulking creature with drool coming out of his mouth. The last of Desiree’s creations, caught in this prison with her.
She flew over to the ghost, ignoring its growl. “How? How did he defeat you? You were my finest creation!”
“Danny split me from my human host,” the ghost complained.
“How?” Desiree demanded. “That should not have been possible.”
“A giant dreamcatcher,” the ghost spat. “At least, that’s what it looked like. He shoved me into it, and I came out like this.”
“What’s a dreamcatcher?” Desiree asked.
The ghost explained, “It’s like a net for ‘dreams.’ Apparently, this one was for ghosts.”
Desiree held her chin and mused, “Hmm… Good to know.” If she ever got out of this place, she would have to watch out for that contraption. “You were once his friend. Do you know what he does with the ghosts he has captured?”
“He takes them into the Ghost Zone,” the ghost said.
That surprised her. “He does not destroy them? He simply lets them go?”
The ghost shrugged. “I guess.”
Her lip curled. “I will have a chance at revenge after all.”
“Revenge?” the ghost said enthusiastically. He smiled evilly. “I want to end Danny Phantom.”
“Good,” Desiree cooed. “You can join me.” She turned so she could talk to the other ghosts, but the cat ghost was already flying toward her.
“You can’t!” the cat ghost cried. “He’s just a boy! He’s gracious and kind–”
“You do not have to join us,” Desiree sneered, and batted the cat ghost away.
“Meow!”
“What about you?” Desiree asked the sports ghost.
He uncurled and asked, “Who’s Danny Phantom?”
“He is the one who put you in here,” Desiree said. “You want revenge, do you not?”
The sports ghost growled, “Yes! I’ll pound that loser into the ground!”
Desiree steepled her fingers. “Excellent. Now, let us form a plan to defeat him.”
