A/N: This story was requested by @JulzLovDraco4Eva on Wattpad! This is a female Y/N insert per the request, so if you don’t like that type of story I suggest skipping this chapter. I loosely based Y/N off of a combination of Hermione and myself for certain parts of the story.
Ever since her older sister, Hermione, received her letter to Hogwarts, Y/N had been anxiously waiting for her own. Her sister told her stories about the adventures her and her new friends had managed to get into in their short time at Hogwarts, only making Y/N more excited and hopeful at the idea of getting her own letter to the prominent school.
Finally, a letter came for her.
Y/N Granger
8, Heathgate,

Y/N was practically vibrating with excitement when she saw the Hogwarts emblem displayed proudly on the front of the letter. She rushed to where her parents and sister were in the kitchen to show them the un-opened envelope.
“Mom! Dad! Look what came in the mail!” She shouted, probably a little louder than she should in such a small, enclosed space, but Y/N couldn’t care less at the moment.
Y/N was quickly embraced in a crushing hug by her older sister before being urged by her parents to open it. She set the rest of the mail, probably including Hermione’s supply list, on the table as she messily opened the envelope holding the piece of paper she had awaited so long for.

Dear Y/N Granger,

“Y/N Granger!” Professor McGonagall called out and Y/N stepped up to the sorting hat.
The hat thinks for a moment before loudly proclaiming its decision to the entirety of Hogwarts. “Gryffindor!” is heard ringing throughout the Great Hall a mere moment before loud cheers are erupting from the boisterous table as they had for the previous first years as they joined their ranks.

It was no secret that Draco Malfoy disliked 'mudbloods' but he especially didn't like the Granger sisters.
One afternoon, right before winter break, Malfoy and his cronies cornered Y/N yet again, but this time it was worse than before. Luckily, before they could go too far with it (just want to be clear, it's just regular bullying, nothing sexual), Hermione, Harry, and Ron walked around the corner laughing only to become enraged at the sight in front of them.
A/N: I've decided to make this one 2 parts because, A) writer's block and B) It's been way too long since I've updated, but I'll try to prevent this from becoming a habit since this is supposed to be one-shots. I'm so sorry for this sub-par part, I'm not used to writing in this style and I try to avoid bullying scenes, so I was going outside of my comfort zone with this one. I'll try to post part 2 soon, but school just started for me and on top of regular high school classes, I have a lot of honors and college classes, so I'm trying my best. @JulzLovDraco4Eva I hope this is close to what you were hoping for so far! Also, this prompt is currently the last on my idea list, so any new ideas for one-shots are appreciated! Sorry for the long note, guys!
