“So that’s why we called you all in.” Sonic said.
Sticks hopped out of her seat. “I knew it!” She exclaimed. “I told you, didn’t I? Do you still think I’m crazy?”
Everyone rolled their eyes upward or groaned.
“No, Sticks, you’re not crazy.” Sonic said flatly. “We’ll have a dinner party for everyone later, but we have a mission right now.”
Sticks sat down. “Of course.”
“So we’re all supposed to go out and fight an army?” Amy asked. “I mean, yeah, we fight Eggman almost on a weekly basis. GUN is a whole different thing though.”
“Shadow, Manic, and Surge took out that facility by themselves.” Sonic replied. “That’s how they escaped.”
Amy’s jaw dropped. “No way.”
“These three can knock out the power over the entire country.” Sonia said.
“Is that what made the power flicker across town?” Sally asked.
“Yeah.” Shadow replied.
Knuckles stretched his arms. “When do we start?”
“We have to make videos first.” Sonia said. “Then, we fight.”

Amy drove the van into Mobotropolis city limits.
“The videos are going viral.” Tails said, showing Sally his tablet. “Oh, and Mobotropolis Channel five news wants to do an interview at the station.”
“Tell them we’re on our way.” Amy replied. She glanced back at the group. “Sonic, there’s some vans parked in front of the news station.”
Sonic and Shadow walked over.
“That is a GUN van.” Shadow said.
Amy parked the van about two buildings down from the news station.
Sonic stretched his legs. “Alright. Are we ready?”
Amy patted her hammer into her hand. “Ready as we’ll ever be.”
Shadow, Surge, and Manic’s spines and eyes light up.
“Shadow, Surge, and Manic.” Sonic said. He opened the door. “You go first.”
Shadow, Surge, and Manic raced out the door.
Sonic, then the rest of the team, followed them out.
Shadow and Manic spin dashed a few GUN agents.
Surge shut down some drones with her rings
Amy took out some drones with a hammer.
Knuckles punched the ground sending the rest of the soldiers flying.
Sticks used her boomerang to take out a large drone.
Rouge shut down the rest of the drones with her phone. “Take them out before they turn them on again.”
A news crew came out of the building and filmed Manic, Surge, and Shadow destroying the drones.
Sally came out of the van with her tablet. “Sonic, we’re on the- oh, there’s the crew.” She said, waving to the camera.
Sonic looked at the cameras, then at Manic and Shadow (who were glowing). “Yeah, the viral videos are real.”
Manic and Shadow finished breaking the drones.
“We’re here for the interview.” Manic said, dusting his hands off.

The hedgehog family and their friends gathered at Aleena’s home.
Manic and Surge hugged each other.
“Ma, we’re home!” Sonic called.
Aleena rushed in and hugged Manic. “I’m so glad you’re home.”
Shadow nodded, then turned to walk away.
Sonia hurried after Shadow. “Where are you going?”
“I don’t know.” Shadow said.
“You can stay with us.” Sonia replied. “We let Tails live in the guest house. I think he has an extra bed.”
“I do.” Tails added. “You’re welcome to stay on the guest bed.”
“I’ll stay until I can find my own place.” Shadow replied.
Sonic raced over. “Tails, you want to ride with me to get dinner for the party?”
“Sure.” Tails said. “Sonia, you can help Shadow settle in if you’d like. Just don’t mess with my experiments.”
“I won’t.” Sonia replied.
Sonic and Tails left the house.
“What about Surge?” Manic asked.
“If she’s got nowhere to stay, she can stay in the guest house too.” Aleena replied.
“It’s better than a cold cell.” Surge said, shrugging.
