“Glad you could meet with us, Rouge.” Tails said.
Rouge sat down on the couch. “It’s no trouble.” She replied. “So you all had info on these projects I read about.”
Manic, Surge, and Shadow walked in and sat down.
“These are projects: Nikós, Shadow, and Surge.” Tails said. “GUN has been experimenting on them for at least six years.”
“You’re kidding.” Rouge replied. “I don’t think this is-”
Shadow’s spines and eyes started glowing. “Does this look like a joke?”
“No, okay, so this is legitimate.” Rouge said, holding her hands up. “It explains the assault inside a GUN facility and on a squad.”
Surge leaned on Manic, who stroked her spines.
“Living superweapons.” Rouge said. “It makes sense that they would try to do something like that, but I had no idea this was going on. I’m only cleared for certain info and that GUN lab wasn’t one of those.”
Tails nodded. “So what do we do?”
“The only thing we can do is go straight to the media.” Rouge said. “Local news, YouTube, whatever. They can’t weasel out of it then. If they try to silence you, I think Shadow, Surge, and Manic can handle it. Sonic too. I’ve heard of his fights with Eggman.”
Manic, Shadow, and Tails nodded.
Sonic smirked. “We’re a three hedgehog and tenrec army.”
Shadow rolled his eyes.
“Okay.” Rouge said, steepling her fingers. “We make a video, post it to all of our accounts for more exposure and make sure everyone knows it’s connected. Of course, the news outlets will be interested eventually. Someone will want to debunk it.”
“So we do the interviews.” Sonic replied. He propped his elbow on the arm of the couch and held his head up with his hand. “Boring, but whatever as long as it gets justice for my bro.”
“GUN will come around to silence us.” Rouge said. “We have to be ready for that. I’ll help because I have training too.”
“But that’ll mean your job.” Sonia said.
“I don’t want to work for a group that does something so evil, hon.” Rouge replied. She got her phone out. “I’ll call Knux and get his help.”
Sonic leaned forward. “You know Knuckles?”
“You know him too?” Rouge asked. “You have any more friends who can help? You all are powerful, but you can get overwhelmed by numbers and a lucky shot with a tranq gun or gas.”
“I guess we should get Amy, Sally, and Sticks too.” Sonic replied.
Manic looked at Sonic. “So Sticks never suspected GUN was behind my disappearance?”
“She did from the moment I told her you were missing.” Sonic said. “We pursued every theory out of sheer desperation.”
“We both tried to hack into the system, but nothing.” Tails added. “Sticks was an enormous help.”
