Sonia woke up in a cell. “Huh?”

Dr. Starline and Sonic stood on the outside of the cell.

“Sorry to do this, Sonia.” Dr. Starline said. “You’re not a threat to me, but Shadow is. He should be here to find you soon enough.”

Sonia looked at Sonic. “Bro?” She asked. “Please… don’t you remember me?”

Sonic gave Sonia a blank stare.

“Can’t you fight it?” Sonia asked.

Sonic’s eyes flashed briefly.

Dr. Starline noticed the change. “Come on, we have work to do.” He said, leading Sonic out.

Sonic looked back at Sonia on the way out.

“He’s still in there.” Sonia whispered.

Shadow sighed as he read through the files Tails gave him. “I told her to stop going for walks alone.”

“Why has the necklace stopped working?” Mindy asked.

“Necklace?” Tails asked.

“Sonia is the glowing warrior.” Shadow replied. “It’s got to do with that necklace she got from the Oracle.”

“That crackpot?” Manic asked.

“Put aside your opinions about that guy.” Shadow replied. “We have to find Sonia and stop this once and for all since Surge has the codes.”

“When do we go?” Manic asked. “It’s personal for me.”

“Now.” Shadow replied. “Follow me.”

Shadow led Surge and Manic out.

“Be ready to attack as soon as I give the signal.” Shadow said over his shoulder.
