Surge and Manic stood by the tanks, waiting for Tails to check the data on the computer.
“They look ready to come out.” Manic said. He slid his arm around Surge’s waist. “They’re pretty big.”
“Are they really that big or is it the tanks making them look big?” Surge asked. “Because if they’re actually that big, I don’t see how I would’ve been able to give birth to them.”
Manic winced. “Ooh… guess you caught a break.”
“They’re ready.” Tails called.
“Open it.” Manic said, bouncing lightly on his feet.
“Just be close enough to catch them just in case they’re too close to the edge of the little floors.” Tails replied. He typed in the code.
Manic and Surge stepped closer to the tanks and held their hands out as the tanks opened.
Glitch and Cyber started crying as the tanks opened.
Surge picked up Glitch as Manic picked up Cyber.
Manic held Cyber. “Aww, there’s my baby girl.” He said softly. “You’re a tough girl like your Ma, huh?”
Cyber chirped.
Surge let Glitch play with her fingers. “I told you I’d get you out of here, didn’t I?”
Manic glanced at Surge. “Yeah, let’s go home.” He said, walking Surge out.

Sonia and Shadow finally finished fixing up Aleena’s old home.
Sonia sighed. “I can’t believe she’s gone.”
Shadow rubbed Sonia’s shoulder.
“Thanks for letting me keep some of Mother’s and Sonic’s things.” Sonia said.
“You don’t have to thank me for that.” Shadow replied. He looked at the house. “Do you think Manic will be upset to live here?”
“It doesn’t look the same.” Sonia said. “If he feels upset that Sonic’s room is remodeled, I’ll tell him we took pictures and Tails took the rest of the stuff to keep in his storage room.”
Shadow checked his watch. “They should be here soon.”
“I told him we’d visit later.” Sonia said. “I figured they’d want to get settled in and rest.”
Shadow walked Sonia out the door.
“So… I’ve been thinking….” Sonia said.
“You’re wanting a baby now?” Shadow asked.
“Yeah.” Sonia replied. “There’s not much hero work to do now since Starline is defeated anyway.”
Shadow nodded. “Alright.”
Sonia hugged Shadow.
