Chapter 36: Iga
Iga arrived in her past life when the boulder fell on her and crushed her legs. Once again she was the only survivor of the earthquake. And now she was stuck here, pinned beneath this rock waiting for Luna to arrive and save her.
Iga and her Goddess had many long talks when they were in eternity. Luna let her know in no uncertain terms that if her voice were returned, it was not a mark of her faith to refrain from speaking. She had explicit permission from Luna to speak. And Luna had promised she would be here in time to prevent her from having her throat torn out by a hyena. And so, Iga waited. . . . waited for her goddess to come for her.
This time, it wasn’t days before help came, it was hours. Just as before, there was a blinding light on the tip of a stick. But this time, the person holding the wand was a man dressed in strange clothes. Next to him was a very familiar looking naked woman.
“There she is,” said Ayla, before shouting: “Wingardium Leviosa!”
The boulder was lifted off her legs and set down nearby. Then, Ayla did it again:
“Wingardium Leviosa!”
Now, Iga was floating into the air, just like last time. They took her out of the cave and the man extinguished the light from his wand and pulled a large object out of nowhere! He opened the large object and pulled out a fur, which Ayla laid her on.
“Ayla?” asked Iga. “Who is this man?”
Ayla had never in life her previous life heard Iga speak. Her voice-box had been destroyed before Ayla had ever met her in her past life. So this was the first time she’d heard her voice. But the sound of Iga’s voice by itself gave her Needs. She blushed at the feeling she was experiencing.
“I’m Harry Potter,” said the man. “But my Clan name is: Harr.”
“Harry Potter!” exclaimed Iga. “Luna told me all about you. My name used to be: Andromedanaea, but I prefer my Clanluna name: Iga.”
“Harr is my mate,” explained Ayla.
‘What happened to Zar?” asked Iga.
“I never met him,” replied Ayla. “And since he chose not to come back, he doesn’t remember me and has not sought me out. Now let us heal you. Harr, could you vanish the bones in her legs?”
Harr waved his wand and the bones in her lower legs vanished! Her legs were now flat and floppy.
“Now drink this,” commanded Ayla. “It’s skelogrow potion and will make your bones grow back right. It will take several hours and will be painful.”
“Ow! You’re right! It hurts pretty badly,” griped Iga. Can you talk to me and help take my mind off it?”
“I notice you speak English?” observed Harr.
“I’ve never spoken it before, but I heard Luna’s tongue a lot for most of my previous life.
“This Clanluna also knows the ancient Clan signs,” signed Iga.
“Yes, the Moon taught them to me too,” signed Harr.
“He means Luna,” signed Ayla.
“Where IS Luna, anyway?” asked Iga.
“Harr came here instead of her,” explained Ayla. “I was pretty angry about it at first. But she did send many wondrous things with him.”
“I think you might be pregnant,” observed Iga.
“Yes, Harr defeated my totem during the winter.” confirmed Ayla.
“Where is the rest of the Clanluna and why are you naked,” Iga asked Ayla.
“We flew here on brooms as soon as the ground shook,” explained Ayla. “And we left the Clan behind.
“So are we going to stay here until this potion finishes?” asked Iga.
“No, I’ll set up a tent and we can sleep in there,” offered Harry, who then pulled a tent out of Luna’s trunk, waved his wand at it, and it erected itself.
“Come closer Ayla,” asked Iga.
When she was close enough, Iga grabbed her and pulled Ayla into a kiss. Ayla couldn’t help responding, at first. But soon her Medicine Woman instincts kicked in and she pushed herself away.
‘We can Share Pleasures with you later,” scolded Ayla. “For now, lie still and let the potion heal you.”
Harr then levitated Iga and the fur she was laying on into the tent and laid her on a bed.
Throughout the day and evening, Ayla caught Iga up on what all had happened in her new life. The skelogrow finished it’s work around midnight. After a few test steps around the tent to assure herself that she was completely healed, Iga pounced on Ayla and Harr to Share Pleasures with them for the rest of the night.
In the morning, Ayla made the fire in a strange box in the tent and heated the water on the box for their morning tea and to cook their morning meal.
“Did you want Harr to defeat your totem?” asked Ayla.
“I want whatever Luna wills for me,” replied Iga.
Ayla nodded and put the totem-strengthening root in her morning tea.
After their meal, they packed up the tent and put it back in Luna’s trunk.
Harr then used the packing charm to pack up all the possessions in Iga’s cave.
Iga had not bothered getting dressed this morning.
“Aren’t you going to put something on?” asked Harr. “It’s going to be pretty chilly riding the brooms.”
“If Ayla is willing to share some of her warmth potion, I should be fine.” replied Iga.
“What about the dead people in the cave?” asked Ayla. “We should perform a funeral for them.”
“You’re right,” agreed Iga.
With magic is was a simple matter to pull them all out of the cave and bury them and Iga knew the proper Sungean funeral rites.
“So who do you want to ride back with?” asked Harr.
“I think I want to ride back with Ayla,” replied Iga. “I’ll make more of an impression that way.
And so, Iga climbed on the broom behind Ayla and the three of them flew back toward their old cave. When they saw the cave that they knew would be abandoned by now, they spiraled outward until the saw two groups moving away from the cave in different directions. One of them had someone with a silver arm, so, Harr and Ayla to landed near them.
