Don’t feel too sorry for Creb. He’s got Iga The Clanluna for a mate. And there’s also what happens in this chapter.
The one I feel sorry for is Luna, stuck with Uba’s face and having to sneak around.

Chapter 48: Luna’s loophole
When Uba returned to the Cave, she went straight for Harr’s hearth, where she opened Luna’s trunk. Sticking her wand in, she cast the summoning charm in hope that she had left a hair behind when she packed this trunk in the future.
Luck was with her! She managed to summon a single long blonde hair and six more fragments of hair. And she knew it was Luna’s hair because she had summoned Luna’s hair specifically. Besides, Luna’s hair was a lighter shade than Ayla’s. Now that she had some hairs, she cast the gemino charm repeatedly. 7 hairs became 14, became 28, became 56, became 112 . . . . She kept casting until she had a pile of Luna hair as tall as herself.
Around that time, Ayla happened to walk into the cave carrying Uba’s daughter, Viza, who needed feeding.
“Uba, what are you doing?” Ayla signed, as she handed over Uba’s baby to her.
“This weech needs you to brew shape changing (polyjuice) potion,” signed Uba, as she shoved the pile of Luna hair back in the trunk.
“You are going to use it to become Luna,” signed Ayla, accusatorially. “This weech will do that. But it takes a moon to brew and once it is done, each dose with only last many (4) fingers time.”
“That will be enough time,” signed Uba. “And if it’s not. This weech can always take another dose. Thank you Ayla. You are a good mate.”
Uba gave Ayla a hug while being careful not to squish her baby.
Uba sat with Ayla as she fed and burped her daughter and Ayla began gathering the ingredients for brewing polyjuice. For this, Ayla would use the silver cauldron from Luna’s trunk. It would make the transition of the potion smoother.
Over the next month, Uba practiced the two different kinds of sling magic until she was able to kill on separate occasions two birds with one stone and an aurouchs with it. Learning this kind of magic had given her ideas about how she could enchant arrows, either when she drew them back on her bow, or before hand, with the aid of runes. She also managed to finish the bows she was making for Ayla and Iga. Ayla remembered how to use her’s and sometimes used it when hunting with the men. But she preferred her sling. Iga was still learning the bow, which she could appreciate because it was easier to aim than a thrown spear.
Once those two were made, Uba got to work on her longbow. It would be as long as Uba was tall when strung and be thicker than the bows she had previously made. Its’ increased draw would give Uba a range comparable to magically thrown sling stones. And with enchanted arrows, she could do a lot more with it that sling magic could do.
Uba had just finished the morning meal with her mate and children when Ayla came to Bar’s hearth.
“It is done,” signed Ayla, before switching to English. “The polyjuice potion is finished. Do you want to test it?”
“Let’s go hunting and test it while we are hunting,” signed Uba.
Uba kissed her mate on the cheek and asked Vorga to watch baby Viza while she went hunting. Vub went off in search of other children to play with.
Uba was wearing a larger wrap than she did when acting as a clanluna. This one had folds that she could put things in, like pockets. She also took her longbow and a quiver of enchanted arrows with her.
Ayla had already divided up the polyjuice potion into individual glass vials that Luna had packed in her trunk. She brought one and a sample of Luna’s hair, along with her sling and some stones.
The two of them walked out of sight of the cave and into the woods before Uba stopped her.
“This looks like a good place to test it,” signed Uba.
Ayla pulled from a fold in her wrap the vial of polyjuice potion and the hair of Luna she had brought and handed them to Uba.
Uba unstoppered the potion and put the hair in it, then drank it down.
Ayla watched Uba’s features morph until she became Luna.
“How do you feel?” Ayla signed.
“It feels good!” said Luna, in English. “I can talk now! But I still have my Clan memories!”
“What will you do now that you are Luna?” asked Ayla. “If you go back to the cave like this, Iga might see you and who knows what she would do?”
“I know exactly how Iga would react if he saw me,” replied Luna. Which is why Iga can never see me like this.”
“We could go hunting,” offered Ayla.
“There is something else we could do, now that I am Luna for a while . . . “ replied Luna, in a sultry voice that sounded like she was trying to imitate Iga’s voice. Luna then, gave Ayla the Signal.
“Luna! You can’t make that sign! You are a woman!” Ayla gasped.
“I just did,” replied Luna. “You are a woman of the Clan. . . And I have given you the Signal!”
Ayla looked at Luna in shock before she started to sink to her knees to comply.
Luna stopped her from kneeling and pulled her into a kiss.
The two of the Shared Pleasures until the potion wore off. Seeing her sister’s body was a turn off for Ayla.
So Uba quit and they decided to actually go hunting. When they spotted a herd of reindeer, Uba’s arrow, imbued with a stunning spell, hit the deer at the same time as Ayla’s two stones killed it.
After they buried the heart and ate the liver, Uba, who was better at wand magic, levitated the carcass and carried it back to the cave, led by Ayla, so that everyone would know the kill was hers. At the cave, the other women helped them skin the deer and dry the meat.
The next day, Uba gathered her longbow, quiver and other things and wandered over to Creb’s hearth and sat before him. He tapped her on the shoulder.
“Would you like to go hunting with this woman-who-hunts?” Uba signed.
It had been a moon since Uba had last encouraged him to give her the Signal, so he felt safe accepting her offer.
He glanced at his mate.
Iga, who had memories of clanluna women asking men to go hunting when they actually meant: “Do you want to go Share Pleasures?” Just said, out loud, in English.
“Go ahead. I don’t mind.”
“This man would enjoy hunting with you,” signed Creb, as he gathered his clan spear and his sling.
Uba walked behind Creb until they were out of site of the the cave, then caught up with him and guided him towards the woods and the spot where the leaves were soft that Ayla and her had gone to the previous day.
“This looks like a good spot,” signed Uba, as she pulled out the flask of polyjuice.
“A good place for what,” signed Creb.
“After last time you rejected this woman, she had this potion made,” signed Uba, as she unstoppered the potion and put a Luna hair in it. She then, drank it and smoothly transformed into Luna.
“Luna?” Creb signed.
“For the next hour, that’s four fingers, I AM Luna, again,” said Luna out loud, in English. “Please treat me as you did in our past lives.”
Creb looked hopefully at her for a moment before his hands moved to give her the Signal.
Luna smiled beatifically at that, before she turned around and got on her forearms and knees like a Clan woman. This had not been a comfortable position for them to Share Pleasures in their past life because of his missing arm. But he didn’t have that handicap any more and Uba had observed him taking Iga this way. So, she wanted him to have the experience with her that any other Clan man would have.
He finished quickly, before she could. But then he turned her around and sat down, pulling her into his lap so he could kiss her. She put her arms around his neck so she could feel his chest pressed against hers. This soon progressed into Relieving her Need and he did so, several times before she pushed him away as she felt the potion wearing off. She didn’t want to traumatize him by turning back into Uba while he was in the midst of Relieving his Need.
After her transformation was complete, Uba sat before him and waited for him to tap her on the shoulder. When he did so, she signed:
“Thank you for Sharing Pleasures with this woman,” signed Uba.
“The Pleasures were Shared,” signed Creb. “Tell Ayla this man is grateful for the potion.”
“This woman will,” signed Uba. “Now . . . Shall we go hunting?”
The two of them walked to the pond, where Creb was able to bring down two geese with one stone and Uba stunned another with an arrow from her longbow. After which, the ran up and rung the geese’s necks.
The next day, Uba’s woman’s curse arrived. And once it had passed, Uba had clanluna duties to attend to with the men who had no mates. Finally a day arrived in which she was free. With her longbow and quiver, she again approached Creb’s hearth and sat before him.
“Do you want to go hunting again?” Uba signed.
Creb glanced at his mate.
“Yes, Uba, you may use my mate to Relieve your Needs,” said Iga, out loud.
Creb grabbed his spear and sling let Uba follow him out of the cave. The Pleasures that followed were very much mutual. When she felt herself start to change back, she had him get off her. After the change, she signed at him:
“Can you do something for this woman?” Uba signed.
“What do you want?” Creb signed.
“This woman wants you to do a men’s ritual with her so that you can see her memories and know that she really is Luna,” signed Creb.
“No! If a woman see a men’s ritual, the whole Clan would die!” Creb signed.
“You already did the mog-urs’ ritual with Ayla,” signed Uba. “Doesn’t that mean all Clans everywhere will die? How much worse will it be to let this woman experience that?”
“You are right,” signed Creb. “All Clans everywhere will die because of Ayla’s intrusion on the mog-urs’ ceremony. But there is yet hope for the Clan. That hope is Ayla, and you and even Harr. The Three of you will allow some part of the Clan to survive. . . . Very well . . . . Make the tea tonight and you and this Mog-Ur alone will do the men’s ritual.”
Uba sprung forward and gave him a hug.
That night, Uba brought a bowl of datura tea to Creb’s hearth and gave it to him.
“This Mog-Ur will be doing a ceremony with the woman, Uba tonight,” signed Creb.
“Can this woman be part of the ritual too?” Iga signed.
“No. This is private between us,” signed Creb. “This Mog-Ur needs the Clanluna to watch over us and see that no one disturbs us.”
“This Clanluna will do so,” signed Iga.
Creb the Mog-Ur directed Uba sit and take a sip of the tea, then, took one himself. They sat facing each other across the fire with their eyes closed, waiting for the datura to take effect.
When Creb began to feel it, he started looking through Uba’s memories of her being Luna. He saw her that one night as Uba in Zab’s cave, then she was Luna in the time yet to come, much of what he saw there was incomprehensible as Luna and Hermione did the research to allow her to come here. But he did understand that Luna and Hermione treated each other as mates. Before that, there was her last year at Hogwarts and her triadic relationship with Hermione and Harry, before that was the long campout where they became a triad, and Luna’s being mated to only Harry. Her redfooting Neville, and before that, Harry. Before that, he saw her previous life as Leader of the Clanluna, the decades of that life, back to when he and she had been mated. Before that she was in the time yet to come, when she was Forced multiple times by the men in skull masks and the lonely life she had led before that. He saw Luna’s childhood, and the life of her mother: Selene Lovegood nee Malfoy, and her mother from the Olivander family, and her mother Weasley, Black, Potter, Peverell.
As they went back through Luna’s matrilineal memories she started gaining skills . . . spell creation from her mother. . . other kinds of magic from more distant mothers . . . her household charms skills were much improved . . . she even started gaining muggle skills . . . quilting . . . tailoring . . . sewing . . . weaving . . . spinning . . . shearing . . . cooking . . . smelting . . . metalworking . . . farming. . . . they went back further and further until they reached her ancestor . . . Uba! And with her, Luna gained the Clan memories of Iza’s line . . .They went further back . . . . beyond their common ancestor to the time when there were women-who-hunt and female mog-urs . . .
The one I feel sorry for is Luna, stuck with Uba’s face and having to sneak around.
