Kari woke up in her bed. It was strange not hearing her brother complain about their mom's home-cooked meals. Deep down, Kari felt that T.K and her brother's death hit her hard. Gatomon noticed her mood and looked at her.

"What's the matter?" Gatomon asked her.

Kari looked at her Digimon partner and forcefully smiled, trying to fool her. "Nothing."

"You can't fool me, Kari." Gatomon said.

"Okay, I'm beat. It's just that I realized my brother's death hit me hard...and am I even worthy enough to continue."

"Kari, please don't be negative. Remember that negative thoughts harm us good Digimon and help the evil ones. As for worthy enough, you are. We have to get through this crisis together." Gatomon said.

Kari looked at her and cheered up. "You're right."

She and Gatomon left the room to get some breakfast. Her mother then walked into the kitchen. "Kari, some girl just called. She said her name was Rei Hino. She called to remind you to come to her temple at three o'clock sharp."

Like she always did, Gatomon hid in a tree waiting for the school day to end. While Kari was in class, Gatomon viewed her surroundings. She watched as two cats walked by. One was black with a crescent moon on her forehead and the other was white with the same symbol on it's head. From her perch Gatomon could tell that they weren't ordinary cats or Digimon. She watched the two cats disappear before the black one looked in her direction only to not see anything.

"What's wrong, Luna?" The white cat asked.

Luna looked at the white cat. "Something was watching us, Artemis. I could feel it."

"Well, it's not there now." Artemis said.

When Gatomon was sure that the two cats were gone, she poked her head out of the tree.

"Nice names for cats." She mumbled to herself. "That was close."

Eight hours later, the school bell rang waking a sleeping Gatomon up or more specifically waking her up and making her fall out of the tree. This time she landed on her feet. Somehow the students didn't see her fall.

"Stupid tree." Gatomon hissed.

'I'm gonna have to find a new way to wait for Kari.' She thought.

"Gatomon, don't kick the tree." A voice said from behind the cat. Gatomon turned around to see Kari. "Oh, hi Kari."

"You fall out of the tree again?"
