It was around noon when Kari regained consciousness. She sat up on the bed she was on. She must have been hit really hard because her head was spinning and she was in pain.

'At least I got away from Machinedramon.' She thought. 'But I was seriously injured by his attack.'

She then saw a raven-haired woman in a priestess uniform.

"Ah, you're awake. You're lucky to have survived that fall." She said.

"My name's Kari Kamiya. Thanks for looking after me." Kari introduced herself.

"I'm Rei Hino." The raven-haired woman introduced herself as well.

Kari tried to stand up, but then fell back down. Rei was immediately by her side. "It seems you're still a little dizzy."

She let go and this time Kari remained standing. "Where am I?"

"Hikawa Shrine." Rei answered.

Kari took a look around and noticed that Gatomon was missing. It wasn't like Gatomon to not be there for her. Rei noticed that Kari seemed to be looking for something in the shrine.

"What are you looking for, Kari?" She asked the brunette.

"My Digi-oh I mean my cat, Gatomon." Kari cut herself off.

Rei had no idea what she meant by digi, but after hearing the word cat knew exactly what she was talking about.

"Come with me." Rei told her.

They headed to Rei's room and saw a white cat with yellow gloves. "Is that Gatomon?"

"Yes." Kari ran over to her Digimon partner and embraced her.

Gatomon slowly opened her eyes and then opened her mouth, but Kari covered it with her hand.

"Don't say anything. Another human is present." Kari's whisper was so quiet even the psychic Rei wasn't able to hear it.

Gatomon understood the message being conveyed and winked at her. She leaped out of Kari's hands and dropped down on all fours. Kari then walked over to Rei, with Gatomon following her. Before they left Rei's room, Kari had sworn she saw Nefertimon's imprint in the wall.

'So we accidentally crashed after all. That must have frightened her.'

The three walked to the shrine's exit. Rei then pointed to the area where she found Kari and Gatomon lying unconscious.

Rei looked at Gatomon. "So much for the expressions cats always land on their feet."

To her surprise, Gatomon didn't seem to be bothered by this. 'Luna would have said something at this point.'

Kari walked over to the section of the temple that Nefertimon had crashed into. Rei joined her to inspect it as well.

"Something big crashed into the temple. Obviously it was a accident though." Rei said after looking at the impression.

Gatomon took one look at the hole and realized she was the one who made it.

The two then noticed Gatomon assume a fighting stance. They whirled around and saw a monster.

"A monster." Rei said before turning to Kari. "Kari, get out of here."

Kari shook her head before turning to Rei. "I was about to tell you the same thing. Gatomon, mind telling her what this is."

"With pleasure." Gatomon nodded. "That's Kuwagamon, a Champion Level Digimon. He's a very dangerous beetle capable of cutting anything in half with his lethal Scissor Claw attack and his Guillotine attack is also something to be concerned about."

Kari turned to Rei. "I'm a Digidestined. I'll tell you more about that and Digimon later."

Rei watched as Gatomon flung herself at Kuwagamon.

"Kari, call Gatomon back. She'll be cut in half or stepped on. He's too big." Rei advised.

She watched Gatomon dodge a swipe from the big beetle. She then saw Gatomon leap up onto it.

"Lightning Paw!" Gatomon shouted, sinking her claws into the beetle's head.

Kuwagamon roared in pain as it reared back. Gatomon returned to Kari's side.

"That was a warning, Kuwagamon. Next time it won't be so little." Gatomon said as she watched the beetle shake it's head in pain.

"You call that little, you just landed a jackpot." Rei told the cat.

"Um, you should leave this to me and Kari."

Just then a teenage boy wearing a red shirt, blue jacket and blue pants entered the area.

"Hello miss priestess, the Digimon is right. Leave this to professionals." The boy took out what looked like a cell phone in Kari's eyes, and she knew it had to be a Digivice.

"Agumon, realize!" He yelled.

"Agumon?" Kari raised a eyebrow. She then looked at Gatomon who was just as confused.

Data particles then came out of it before they turned into Agumon. Rei watched as Kari took a close look at this Agumon and knew she had seen this monster before which is why she wasn't scared. She knew from the look on Kari's face that she had never seen a Agumon with a red strap on his hand.

"Are you ready, miss?" The teenage boy asked Kari.

"I'm Kari Kamiya by the way, and I'm ready if you are." Rei picked up a little anger in her tone. She must not like being called miss instead of her real name.

"Do you know him?" Rei asked Kari.

"No, I've never met him." The brunette shook her head.

"Boss, we should get started." Agumon said.

"I'm Marcus. Okay, are you ready Kari?" He introduced himself.

"I've been ready the whole time."

"Then it's fighting time!" Marcus hollered.

Rei watched as the two smaller monsters charged towards the red beetle and thought there was another world where monsters actually fight to protect humans? Oh yeah Kari did mention that she would tell me more about herself later as well as what a Digidestined is, but I better help the two monsters out.

Kari watched Rei take out a pin and lift it up into the air. She smiled at her. "Kari, I also have something to tell you. Mars Planet Power...Make Up!"

In no time Rei had changed forms.

"You're...you're..." Kari stammered.

"That's correct. Hey Kuwagamon, stop the fight for a moment!"

It stopped the fight alright and it was a weird sight alright. Gatomon was on Kuwagamon's head while Agumon held it's pincers. Kuwagamon was frozen in place.

"Kuwagamon, I can't forgive for disturbing the peace of humans! I am Sailor Mars and in the name of Mars I will punish you!"

When she was done, Marcus and Kari fell over sweat dropping. Then they got to their feet. Sailor Mars walked over to Agumon and Gatomon. "Now...we can fight."

"Mars...Flame Sniper!" Sailor Mars shouted as she created a fiery bow before shooting a flaming arrow at Kuwagamon who was laughing at her. That was before the flaming arrow hit him. Kuwagamon stumbled back.

"Pepper Breath!" Agumon shouted before blowing a fire ball out of his mouth.

'Agumon is also able to attack with fire.' Sailor Mars thought as the fire ball hit Kuwagamon's chest. Gatomon took the opportunity to attack it's neck. "Lightning Claw."

Kuwagamon stepped back, overwhelmed by the three attacks. It quickly recovered and with a single swipe from it's jaws it caught Sailor Mars, Agumon and Gatomon.

"Uh oh." Kari said before noticing Marcus running up to it. "Are you crazy?"

He ignored her and continued running forward, using Sailor Mars as a foot stool before he jumped up and punched Kuwagamon.

"My hair." Sailor Mars complained but then noticed that she, Agumon and Gatomon were now free.

'They were hit as well, so why aren't they bleeding.'

Kari then noticed that the punch had a effect on Kuwagamon. It reared back, surprised that a human had actually punched it.

"Ready Agumon?"

"Ready Boss."

Kari watched as Marcus made his way back over to her and took out his Digivice. "DNA Charge!"

"Agumon Digivolve to...GeoGreymon!" The small dinosaur called out.

Sailor Mars saw the small orange dinosaur turn into a Tyrannosaurus Rex with a helmet that had red markings on it.

She then looked at a very confused Kari and was surprised to see her act that way. 'She must have never seen this kind of Digivolution before.'

Kari then took out her D-Terminal. "DigiArmor Energize!"

Gatomon nodded. "Gatomon Armor Digivolve to...Nefertimon the Angel of Light."

Sailor Mars gasped after she saw the sphinx. "You're the one that crashed into the shrine!"

"Accidentally." Nefertimon stated.

"For once I'm not mad. I'm actually looking at a armored monster I saw in my dreams."

Nefertimon looked at Sailor Mars, then at GeoGreymon. "Shall we take care of this guy once and for all!"

"Indeed!" Kari and Marcus shouted.

"Mars...Flame Sniper!" Sailor Mars shouted, firing another arrow at it.

"Cat's Eye Beam!" Nefertimon fired two pink beams at Kuwagamon.

"Mega Burst!" A beam of energy was ejected from GeoGreymon's mouth.

The three attacks hit Kuwagamon reverting it into a DigiEgg.

'Just like the Daemons.' Sailor Mars thought. 'But bigger.'

Marcus walked over to the DigiEgg. "Kari, you're a good fighter. I've got to take this DigiEgg back to DATS."

"Okay, do what you have to." Kari said as she watched him leave the area.

"Kari?" Gatomon looked at her partner.

She turned to Sailor Mars. "Now where should I start?"

"From the beginning, Kari."

Kari sighed. "Then you better sit down. It's a long story."

Sailor Mars nodded before sitting down.

Kari told her everything about her and the other Digidestined. The first time they met the monsters which Rei found out were called Digimon. Weapons used to enslave them and turn them evil. Myotismon trying to kill Kari and her friends finding out she was one of the Digidestined. A chill went down Sailor Mars' spine after she heard this. The four Dark Masters that nearly succeeded in conquering the Digital World and Real World. Returning to the Digital World with the second generation of Digidestined Davis, Yolei, Cody and Ken. Finally their deaths at the hands of Machinedramon. When the story was over, Sailor Mars looked at Kari who was crying after recalling the last part. "I'm sorry about your boyfriend's death."

Kari looked at Sailor Mars who had something on her mind. "If you defeated the Dark Masters, how is Machinedramon alive?"

Gatomon answered in her place. "We Digimon don't really die."

Sailor Mars shot a confused look at Gatomon. She was a little afraid now as well. "What do you mean?"

"Our data is reformatted and we revert back into a DigiEgg, so we don't really die. It's likely Machinedramon has been reborn. Along with the other three Dark Masters. So sorry, Kari. Looks like our work's cut out for us. We must defeat the Dark Masters again."

Kari glanced at her. "Yeah...but to do that we need a team. You and I can't possibly do it alone."

Sailor Mars had a idea. "I'll tag along, Kari."

"You sure? It'll be dangerous."

"What could be more dangerous than having your Star Seed taken away from you?" Sailor Mars asked out loud.

"Uh, what's a Star Seed?" Gatomon repeated.

"It's basically your life force." Sailor Mars explained.

Kari smiled. "Thanks Sailor Mars. You'll need a Digimon partner to help you out though."

"I think you should ask Marcus. He'd be a great help too." Sailor Mars said, giving her friend a handshake.

Kari and Gatomon smiled, shaking hands with the Senshi of Fire. "Thanks Rei."

"Let's work together to protect our worlds. Kari, meet me here tomorrow and I'll introduce you and Gatomon to Sailor Moon."

Kari was happy. "I'd like that, Sailor Mars. Let's go, Gatomon."
