The next morning Max was well and truly out for the count sprawled on the sofa when Jenna got up. She laughed and shook her head. Deciding to be nice she went out and fed and started the horses herself to give him a bit longer. Mostly because she knew he'd be no more use awake as he is asleep. Once it got time that everyone else was up and about and starting the set up she went in to wake him up.
"Come on wake-up princess." Shs nudged him. He groaned and moved around a bit but didn't make any attempt to get up.
"Seriously you'd best be up before Jackie comes and kicks your ass." Jenna said giving him another nudge.
"What time is it?" Max said from under the arm covering his face.
"Eight thirty." Jenna said. He jumped up.
"The horses!" Max said.
"Yeh I know I've sorted them." Jenna laughed.
"Seriously, you should have shouted me." Max said feeling a bit guilty.
"I thought you'd be more use getting a bit more sleep to be more productive throughout the day." Jenna laughed.
"Well thanks." He said rubbing his head.
"No need to thank me you can pay me back." Jenna laughed handing him a glass of water and some pain killers.
"Oh she drives a hard bargin." Max laughed.
"Come on otherwise Jackie's going to be giving you more of a head ache than that beer." Jenna said heading outside started to get ready for the first show of the day as Max went over to help at the big top. As Jenna had finished getting Trigger ready for the show she went into the horse box to get dressed herself. She checked her phone for the time but as she had left it in the horse box all morning there was 5 missed calls from the private number and a text saying "pick up". Jenna felt uneasy but tried to ignore it as she knew Jackie would be calling her over any time now.
"Come on tinkerbell get your steed." Max said jogging over to get her.
"Coming." She said.
"What's up?" He said looking at her.
"Nothing." She brushed off.
"You look like you've seen a ghost." Max said eyeing her.
"I'm ok come let's get going before Jackie has a kitten." Jenna shook it off. Max gave a nod knowing Jenna didn't like getting into anything before a preformace.

After the show Jenna went straight back to the horse box with Trigger, and Max got caught up at the big top.
"Here, I've brought you lunch." Max said, bringing Jenna a sandwich.
"Thanks." She smiled.
"What's left here?" Max asked.
"Just the nets, this is my last water." Jenna said.
"On a role today aren't you." Max said.
"Well someone's got to pick up your slack." Jenna laughed.
"Hey I told you, you should have got me up." Max defended.
"It's fine I was being nice." Jenna smiled.
"Makes a change." Max laughed joking. Jenna gave him a nudge. They sat down to eat lunch.
"So how'd it go with Benji last night?" Max asked.
"OK." Jenna shrugged.
"OK, is that it." Max said.
"Yeh pretty much." Jenna nodded coolly.
"Where did you end up going?" Max asked keen to try and get a bit more information out of her.
"Just the little diner round the corner." Jenna replied simply.
"Did he say anything about the Mia thing?" Max asked.
"Nope." Jenna said seeming unimpressed.
"No, not at all?" Max said raising his eyebrows.
"Not a thing." Jenna shook her head.
"Did you ask him?" Max asked.
"No, I don't really know how to bring it up. I thought he might just have been honest. I mean we spoke about what we'd been up to the last few weeks since we was away." Jenna said.
"So he just missed it out totally." Max said.
"Yep." Jenna said he could tell she wasn't happy about it.
"What are you going to do?" Max asked.
"I don't know. See how things go." Jenna said.
"Have you had any more of those phone calls." Max asked trying to hide his concern.
"A few but I've been busy so I've just left my phone in the hose box." Jenna said.
"I had an idea maybe if you switch your phone off for a few days they'll get board and give up." Max suggested.
"Why should I just becuase someone wants to play funny fuckers." Jenna said lighting a cigarette.
"Point." Max agree with her. "I just don't want you getting upset over it. Do you think it's worth reporting just so it gets logged at least?" Max also suggested.
"I don't think there's much to be done about it though is there. At the moment it's just a few calls. We don't know if there's anything behind it." Jenna said trying to play it down but he knew she was a bit worried under it all.
"Well just keep me posted I'm here for you." Max said.
They finished up their lunch and got started on getting ready for the second show of the day.

"Right guys karaoke night tonight don't be late." Jackie shouted to them all as they went off their separate ways after the show and pack up had finished.
"Ah man I need my bed." Max said sounding weary after already having a night of drinking last night.
"No chance will Jackie let you get out of it." Jenna laughed.
"Maybe if we just said we was busy over here." Max suggested hopefully.
"I'd love nothing more but she won't fall for it." Jenna laughed not feeling in the mood herself.
They finished off the horses and got showered and changed then made their way over to karaoke night. It was already in full swing when they got there and Benji, Joel, Josh, Rachel, Dean, Paul and Billy was all there to.
"Whooo Jenna!" Erin smiled handing Jenna a drink which she took and downed straight away.
"Wow Jenna." Erin exclaimed. Max raised his eyebrows in amusement at her.
"I'm going to need more." Jenna said clearly needing the escape.
"Oh I see where the pay back for this morning is coming in." Max said to her quietly with a laugh.
"Well if your offering." Jenna shrugged with a laugh. Max shook his head and got a beer with AJ, Brad and Paul. Erin handed Jenna another drink.

"Those two are close." Seraya thought out loud to Jackie as she observed Max and Jenna.
"It's Max and Jenna they are close." Jackie said simply.
"No, I know but they just seem closer." Seraya said. Knowing she was seeing something but just couldn't put her finger on it.
"They've just spent the last two weeks just the two of them it's just the different dynamics." Jackie said confidently Seraya nodded convinced Jackie was right.

"You OK?" Erin asked Jenna not really knowing the half.
"I will be after a few more of these." Jenna said.
"Plenty more where they came from." Erin smiled.
They all drank and mingled for a while all taking turns on the karaoke. Benji was sat with Joel, Rachel and Josh so Jenna wasn't keen on the thought of going over sitting with them so chose to drink and make small talk with anyone who came over.
Max had been sat drinking with AJ, Brad and Paul the whole time but kept an eye on what Jenna was upto. He knew she'd been drinking a fair bit but also knew it was her way of having a break from the stress in her head over these phone calls and Seraya's news about Benji and Mia. He noticed her phone had lit up and she had looked at it a few times and put it back down. He knew it must have been the pranc calls.
After a while Max got up and requested a song for himself and Jenna on the karaoke to take her mind off it. He went over to her took her phone off her putting it in his back pocket.
"Come on its our turn." Max said taking her hand pulling her up and marching her over to the karaoke before she even had chance to protest. Jenna got into the song breifly forgetting about everything having a laugh with Max as usual, and everyone else finding their usual banter entertaining. As they walked away from the karaoke Max had a quick look at her phone there was in total for the day 27 calls and 5 messages saying "pick up", "pick up the phone", "pick up the phone now", "pick up the fucking phone".
"Max." Jenna said taking the phone back off him. She knew he would go mad and want to find whoever this was but she knew how hot headed he could be about protecting his loved ones and didn't want him getting into trouble.
"Jenna, this needs dealing with." Max said.
"What exactly are we dealing with though?" Jenna said.
"Harrassment." Max said.
"I know but who from, we don't know anything." Jenna said.
"Jenna you can't let this go on." Max said.
"What am I supposed to do exactly?" Jenna said as they was both in a heated hushed discussion.
"Report it." Max said.
"That would do nothing." Jenna said.
"It would be logged they could try to trace it." Max said.
"The police have got more important things to deal with than my melodrama." Jenna said.
"Jenna this could be serious you have to report it. Or I'll deal with it." Max said knowing it was giving her a bit of an ultimatum and she wouldn't want him 'getting into trouble again'
"Fine I'll report it just leave it." Jenna said clearly frustrated.
"Thank you, its our day off tomorrow we'll go soon as they horses are done." Max said more calmly now.
"Great." Jenna said sarcastically and walked away and Max in the opposite direction.
"What's all that about?" Seraya said to Max as she'd noticed the heated discussion between them.
"Nothing." Max grumbled grabbing a beer and sitting down again with AJ Brad and Paul.
"Jenna is everything OK?" Jackie asked suspiciously. Getting up from sitting with Dean and Billy.
"Fine." Jenna said abruptly. Jackie marched over to her, Jenna instantly regretted the attitude she had with Jackie she should have known it wouldn't have got her to drop the question.
"Whats going on, what's all that about with Max?" Jackie asked pulling Jenna to one side. Jenna didn't say anything to start with she really didn't want to broadcast everything again. Jackie just starred at her expectantly.
"It's probably nothing." Jenna sighed.
"It doesn't look like nothing." Jackie said.
"I've been getting calls from a private number recently. It started just once a day and has built up. When I answer the line goes dead it's progressed to a few messages when I don't answer. Max is really worried about it and wants me to report it." Jenna said trying to play it down as much as she could.
"Jenna darling that's harassment you need to report it. Then the police can work on tracing the number." Jackie said caringly.
"I know, Max is making me go tomorrow." Jenna sighed.
"He's right you know." Jackie said. Jenna nodded.
"You don't think it could have anything to do with Rachel or that Mia do you?" Jackie asked.
"I don't know. Maybe but I'm not sure it's quite her style." Jenna sighed.
"Well who ever it is needs finding and dealing with. Straight to the police station in the morning please." Jackie said neither of them wanting to think of it being any more sinister. Jackie pulled her into a hug for a moment.
"Have you spoke with Benji?" Jackie asked then relised. "No sorry don't answer that I didn't ask." Jackie said holding her hands up. Jenna just laughed at her.
"See there's that beautiful smile." Jackie added, with all what's been going on lately Jenna hasn't smiled half as much as normal then they went seious again.
"I haven't tonight, didn't fancy the present company. We went out last night though." Jenna said.
"Did you talk about..." Jackie started.
"No he didn't bring it up at all. We talked about what we'd been up to while I'd been away but he never once brought up the meal." Jenna said.
"What are you thinking?" Jackie asked.
"I don't know. If what ever it is has happened I'd much rather him just be open and honest with me about it. If it was nothing then he should have nothing to hide." Jenna said.
"You'd hope so, wouldn't you. Do you think there might be more to it or is it another set up from Rachel trying to stir the pot?" Jackie asked trying to brain storm with her.
"I don't know. I honestly don't know and I'm not even sure if I want to be arsed with it all." Jenna said.
"I know you've already been through so much listen to your heart and your gut. They won't let you down. Maybe it was all innocent and he's just unsure of how to tell you. Then again he's a bloke so he probably hasn't even thought about it." Jackie said rolling her eyes at "men".
"Come have a drink with us?" Jackie asked motioning to the table she had with Dean and Billy. Jenna gave a smile to Dean and Billy but had noticed Benji sat on his own and decided she should really go see him as she had avoided him most of the night.
"I'll pass for now, but thank you." Jenna said, turning to look at Benji. Jackie gave a nod and went and sat at her table as Jenna made her way over to Benji.

"Hey." She smiled as she sat down next to him
"Hey I was beginning to think you was avoiding me for a minute." Benji smiled at her.
"Hmm." Jenna just gave a little laugh.
"What's going on are you ok?' He asked noticing she looked like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders.
"Yeh I've just got some stuff going on. Been getting these weird pranc phone calls..." Jenna stared to explain.
"Ah remembered who he is now have you" Josh appeared infront of them cutting her off.
"Excuse me." Jenna frowned at him.
"He's only been sat here all night and you've not once glanced this way until you had a tiff over there with that other guy now you want to know him." Josh spat.
"Josh dont." Benji quietly pleaded.
"Maybe I knew I wasn't welcome in present company and chose to stay away until better opportunity." Jenna shot back at Josh.
"Shes walking all over you." Josh said to Benji in disbelief.
"You've got things wrong." Jenna said seriously.
"Leave it Josh." Benji said.
"Shes taking you for a mug." Josh shook his head walking away.
"I'm sorry." Benji said to Jenna.
"Don't be." Jenna said looking a mix of upset and pissed off.
They sat in silence for a while then Joel and Rachel approached the table.
"We're um, going to make our way back." Joel said, with Rachel giving Jenna evils.
"OK, I'll see you soon in won't be long." Benji said to them.
"See you Jenna." Joel said akwardly.
"Night Joel." Jenna said simply. Joel and Rachel left and Benji and Jenna sat in silence.
"Jenna what's going on?" Beni asked.
"I don't know Benji you tell me." Jenna shot back irritably.
"I don't know what you mean." Benji said which annoyed Jenna more thinking about what Seraya had told her about him having dinner with them and Mia but he's still to bring it up to her.
"Well everything was OK before I went away and now there's this." Jenna snapped.
"What's this though Jenna? I don't know what this is." Benji said frustated.
"Well neither do I." Jenna said giving up.
"Well clearly we're not getting anywhere right now are we." Benji said and walked off Jenna just watched him leave. Jackie, Seraya and Erin noticed and looked over to her.
"I don't want to talk about it." Jenna said just holding her hands up giving them the hint to drop it. Paul stood and gave her a hug.
"I love you, I love Benji but he's just doing a shit job isn't he." Paul said into the hug. Jenna just nodded in his shoulder as a few emotional tears escaped. Paul realised this and squose her tighter, then as he let her go wiped her tear quickly.
"Don't shed them for him, for them but please don't give up." Paul said
