The next morning, it was really quiet on the festival ground with it being the day off. Jenna and Max was up and out in the morning as usual to do the horses.
"Right come on you let's go get this done have you got your phone to show them everything." Max asked as they'd finished the horses and was on about going to the police station.
"Yep." Jenna said looking a bit worried.
"It'll be ok you know. One way or another this needs sorting out. You can't carry on like this and the person behind it needs finding and dealing with." Max said.
"Yes but not by you so don't go getting any hot headed ideas." Jenna said knowing how protective he got of his close friends and family.
"I promise I'm here for you. I can keep my cool." Max said Jenna eyed him.

They was gone almost three hours and when they got back most of the circus team was sat chilling out by the RVs except for Jackie and Seraya.
"Hey how did you get on?" AJ asked as they walked over.
"They've took details and records of what I have. They are going to do what they can to trace it and keep a file of it." Jenna sighed sitting down looking exhausted.
"Hopfully it'll settled down now." Erin said sympatheticly.
"Why don't you go and have a nap or something, I can sort the horses if need be." Max suggested as Jenna sat rubbing her face and yawning.
"It's your day off." Jenna shook her head.
"I know it's ok go and have a rest." Max said.
"It's fine I'll sort them." Jenna said feeling guilty that he's spent his day off doing the horses and then at the police station with her.
"No Jenna you go have a rest and we can all help if need be." Erin insisted.
"Your not going to take no for an answer are you." Jenna sighed.
"Not at all." Erin smiled.
"Fine I probably won't be able to sleep anyway." Jenna said but walked off to the horse box herself.
As Jenna got in she did feel totally exhausted both mentally and physically. Between the Benji drama fueled by not just Rachel but Josh too. She hated how other people could get involed in what ever their relationship was and cause so much friction. With the added stress of the mystery caller. She knew most people suspected Rachel or Mia was behind it but she wasn't convinced but didn't know where else it could be coming from. She thought about Dave but then thought he wouldn't be bothered wasting his time doing things like that and then to any of the guys that she could have been in contact with from the monster truck event but then didn't think anyone of them would have cause to do it. She must have fallen asleep deep in her thoughts and jumped awake a few hours later. As she looked at her phone to see the time she also found a new message "your going to pay for that". Jenna felt quite uneasy feeling like whoever was behind this was closer than she thought as they must have known she's been to the police.
"Jenna!" Max burst in snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Have you been asleep this whole time?" Max laughed.
"Yeh." She said getting herself together.
"So with he help of Erin we've prepped all the jobs for the horses for tonight so I thought I might treat you to a hack?" Max asked. Jenna raised her eyebrows at him and held the back of her hand to his head as if he must be ill.
"Seriously I just thought it would be an easier way of working the horses and you can chill out." Max said. "...but if you don't want too..."
"Come on cowboy get your ass out of here." Jenna said jumping up slapping his ass playfully and running out as he chased after her both laughing.
"So I was thinking let's take Trigger and Puzzle and I'll give Sully a spin in the arena later quickly as I'll use him in the shows tomorrow." Jenna said knowing Max usually complained about spending too much time doing horses on his 'day off' but was taking advantage of him being extra nice to her at the moment.
"I suppose if we have too." Max said as if it was a big ask but his smirk said otherwise. They tacked up and had a lovely relaxing hack round the grounds making usual chit chat. Then when they got back Jenna spent twenty minutes schooling Sully ready for the shows the next day. After that they finished off the horses for the night went in had tea.
"Have you heard from Benji today?" Max asked as they was sat chilling before bed.
"Nope." Jenna said.
"That sucks." Max said disappointed at Benji letting her down. "What was the argument about last night?"
"He asked if I was OK and I was about to tell him about the phone calls then Josh comes over telling him how I'm taking him for a mug and messing him round again. Then it was all a bit silly really I was just as much to blame being short with him but he's acting all suspicious and not telling me about Mia what am I supposed to think considering he always seems to choose to belive the worse of me." Jenna said.
"It's shit it really is." Max said shaking his head.
"I just really don't know what more I can do." Jenna said clearly fed up with it all.
"I don't think you need to do any more. You've not done anything wrong or to deserve this." Max said giving her leg a reassuring squeeze and she sighed and rested her head on his shoulder exhausted with it all. Soon after they went to bed.

The next day started as any other day each of them doing their usual routine and role with in the set up and first show of the circus going smoothly.
Everything seemed as normal for the second show as usual Jenna was the last on. She started her show without fault as usual and Sully was on top form. Then out of no where mid way through her routine there was a loud bang from a mini fire cracker seeming to have been thrown by someone who then ran out of one of the gaps in the back curtains. The bang caused Sully to spook and rear, as Jenna was mid way through a movement where she goes upside down on the horse she fell and hit the ground hard.
"Jenna!!" Max shouted running in to check on her followed by Jackie and Erin. Erin went to catch Sully and calming him down so that he didn't cause any more injuries to himself or anyone else. Jackie shouted to security to find the person responsible then going to check on Jenna with Max.
It didn't take long for Brad and AJ to come over who then started to ask the audience to leave and apologise. Then Seraya turned up followed by the good charlotte guys who she'd been to meet on their way over.
"What's happened?" Seraya asked Brad with the good charlotte guys they could see something was happening but hadn't seen Jenna yet. Erin had already took Sully back to his stable.
"Some idiot in the audience let of a fire cracker whilst Jenna was doing her routine, Sully spooked and Jenna came off." Brad explained.
"What, oh my god" Seraya said looking concerned going to the side of the ring to see if her friend was OK. Followed by the good charlotte guys looking concerned too.
"Jenna speak to me." Max said looking really concerned as Jenna hadn't said a word yet. Just rolled uncomfortably from her back to her knees hunched over.
"Jenna say something." Max tried again.
"I'm fucking winded." Jenna rasped uncomfortably hunched over head to her knees. Causing everyone to relax and smile a little in humour that Jenna was such a tough cookie.
"Right well come on lets get you out of here and more comfortable." Max said still seeming concerned and trying to help.
"Serisouly don't touch me right now." Jenna breathed clearly hurting but was as tough as ever a dealing with it.
"Jenna, sweetheart do you need me to call the medic over?" Jackie asked knowing Jenna would deal with things her own way but as tough as she was she wasn't stupid enough to refuse the help if she really needed it.
"No, I'm alright." Jenna said trying to sit up a bit.
"Take your time Jen." AJ said. Jenna nodded as she slowly sat up breathing through the pain giving herself a little move about and check of each joint.
"Did you bang your head?" Max asked.
"No, my back." She said as she flinched stretching it. Then attempting to get up.
"Are you ok?" Jackie eyed her.
"Yeh I think so." Jenna nodded as she tried to get up and accepting the help from Jackie and Max as a rarity.
"Seriously Jen be careful." Seraya said. As everyone looked on worried.
"Honestly I'm ok just bumped a bit." Jenna said trying to will her body to work again getting the feeling back into her limbs after landing flat on her back from upside down on a cantering horse.
"What the hell happened?" AJ asked.
"That's exactly what I'd like to know." Jackie said looking fuming.
"One minute everything was fine the next there was two loud bangs and then boom. Is Sully OK?" Jenna explained then looked worried about Sully remembering he had had such a fright too.
"Yes he OK he's much calmer now in his stable eating some hay." Erin reassured her.
"That's going to be a nightmare to fix." Jenna said seeming more worried about Sully than herself.
"Let's not worry about that right now, let's go get you checked out?" Jackie said and herself and Max helped her start to slowly walk out of the arena. They knew Jenna didn't feel great as she didn't argue once just let them take her over to the medic tent. They all waited outside whilst she was checked over. Afterwards she walked out slowly clearly hurting and they all looked at her expectantly.
"Seriously you didn't all have to wait outside of here for me there plenty to be getting on with." She gave a little laugh.
"There nothing more important than you right now." Erin said caringly
"Well no need to worry nothing serious just very bruised. I'll live." Jenna said holding her side.
"Well right now you look like you need to rest" Max said.
"Well let's get these horses done..." Jenna stared.
"No no no lady you are not to lift a finger get back to that horse box out your feet up and rest we will sort the rest." Jackie said.
"I don't even have the energy to fight you." Jenna laughed shaking her head as they all started to make their way back over towards the circus set up.
"OK plan of action you lady sit there feet up." Jackie said to Jenna pointing to the sofa in the hose box.
"Max, Erin do you think you can manage the horses?" Jackie asked them they nodded. Out of everyone Erin was the one most comfortable dealing with the horses.
"OK so eveyone else over to the big top lets get everything finished off." Jackie said.
"Shouldn't someone stay with Jenna?" Seraya piped up.
"I'm fine." Jenna called causing a little laugh from everyone.
They all looked round each other breifly and their eyes wondered to Benji as normally he'd be first pick next to Max if it wasn't for the current disagreement they'd had.
"I'll stay with her." Benji said earning a few raised eyebrows. Jackie gave a slow nod with a warning look which Benji recieved loud and clear.
"We can all help you." Paul offered.
"I'm busy." Rachel scoffed. "Come on Josh I need help with, that thing." Josh nodded. Rachel gave Joel a questioning look.
"I'm going to help out here a bit you get on." Joel said much to Rachel's disapproval but he ignored it. She huffed and walked off with Josh. Everyone got to work and Benji walked into the horse box. Jenna was sat looking a bit uncomfortable on the sofa.
"Can I erm do anything for you." Benji asked a bit uncomfortably himself for his own reasons. Jenna thought to herself for a moment a brew, painkillers... the truth! would be nice, still annoyed at him after their last disagreement and that he still hadn't said anything about having dinner with Mia in the group of couples.
"Water, coffee, pain killers..." Benji started to list off.
"There's some pain killers in the top left cupboard." Jenna said flinching a little as she shifted her weight on the sofa "and a tea would be nice." She gave him a little smiled. He gave a nod, put the kettle on to boil and got the pain killers with a glass of water for Jenna. She took them from him and took them straight away. Benji hovered by the kettle waiting for it to boil. Jenna was too sore to be bothered with any drama so she just left him to it. He made her tea and himself a coffee. He handed her the tea and sat on a chair from the dining area wirh his coffee.
"Do you want anything else?" He asked cautiously.
"No, I'm good for now thanks." Shs said. They sat in silence for a minute.
"How are you feeling?" He asked nervously.
"Sore." Jenna said. Benji looked at himself like 'duh' Jenna just laughed making him relax a little. He knew he'd fucked up with her the other night once again.
"It must have been a big fall. Any ideas on what happened "Benji asked.
"Not really. Everything was fine then out of nowhere there was a loud bag closely followed by a second. I was already upside down when the first bang went off then by the second I had no chance. Sully out of the three of them is the most highly strung and responsive to things. He spooked which I really can't blame him for. " Jenna explained relaying all what happened .
"So what do you think the bangs was?" Benji asked.
"I'm not sure, I've never experienced anything like that before. The crowed is normally in silence during the acts unless prompted to. Straight after though someone got up and ran out the back curtains of the tent." Jenna explained.
"Do you think it was done on purpose?" Benji asked sounding shocked. Jenna though back to the message she had relieved earlier too.
"I wouldn't like to say." She said not wanting to get into it too much. Benji nodded.
They went quiet again for a moment then Jackie walked in.
"Jenna darling would you be ok coming looking at some video footage please. They haven't been able to catch up with the person that ran out of the tent however they do have his face on cctv they would really like you to come see if you can identify the person or if it was just random." Jackie explained. Jenna thought for a moment and nodded knowing one way or another this all needed dealing with.
Jackie walked out closely followed by an injured Jenna and Benji behind. Max was outside the box.
"You ok Jen?" Max asked Jenna nodded solumly. He put his tools down and walked with them over to the security tent. When they got there the police was also there, they would only let Jenna in alone to see the footage.
"Miss copeland thank you for coming and helping with our investigations. If you can look at the footage and see if you recognise this man." The police officer said. The security guard played the footage of the guy they had traced to the one who set off the fire crackers. Jenna's heart stopped and her blood ran cold.
"Ma'am do you know this man." They paused the tape on a clear face shot. Jenna nodded slowly.
"Do you have a name?" The police officer urged her on.
"That's Karl, Karl Sinclare." Jenna said starting to shake a little.
Jackie and Max burst in closely followed by Benji. Max instantly putting a protective arm around her.
"Are you sure?" The police officer asked to be clear.
"One hundred percent." Jenna nodded.
"Officers I think you will find a file on this man he has a past of physical and mental abuse on Jenna. I hope that you can make sure you deal with this accordingly." The officer nodded.
"Have you received any more calls or messages since you was last at the station?" The officer asked, Jenna nodded.
"Calls and this message." Jenna said holding her phone up to show the 'you'll pay for what you've done' message.
"OK miss copland can you come to the station with us so we can take a statement and look at your phone please." The police officer said.
"She been through..." Max started trying to say Jenna wasn't up to it right now.
"It's ok Max. Yes I can come now." Jenna said.
"I'll go with her, Max you stay here as you know what the horses need get them sorted and well be back soon." Jackie said. Max didn't look happy about it but nodded and left not really waiting for Benji
