Chapter 1
Night Owls
Raven was sitting in the living room reading one of her many books, when Beast Boy came to join her on the couch. She looked up from her book and looked up at him with an eyebrow raised as her sat next to her.
"What are you doing?" she asked in her emotionless monotone voice.
"Just visiting you." he said sweetly.
"Leave me alone." she said coldly returning to book.
"Why do you always do this?" BB asked, wounded at her comment.
"Do what?" She asked curiously.
"Shut everyone out...even your close friends." BB said daringly looking at her in the eye.
"Then when they get to close to them and actually start to FEEL something you turn into a cold hearted bitch!" He shouted.
"Oh I forgot, if you start to feel anything the fucking universe will implode!" He yelled sarcastically. Just then with a sharp wave of Raven's hand, she pinned BB to a nearby wall with her dark energy by his ankles and wrists.
"You don't know the first thing about me, so don't even think you can judge me like some dumb ass book!" She screamed at him with an angry glare.
"I know you love sunsets, and the movie City Of Angels." BB said calmly.
Raven's face went from angry and harsh to soft and warm. "How...how could you...possibly know that?" she stammered with a surprised look on her face.
"You also like to climb trees in the park when you think no one is looking, and go crazy for peanut flavored chocolate." He continued softly.
"Sss-stop!" she commanded now fighting back tears.
"But the most amazing thing about you Rae, is that your face is the most breathtakingly, beautiful thing under the moonlight." He told her getting lost in her eyes.
She then collapsed in a heap on the floor crying into her hands, resulting in BB's release from the wall. He then bent down to her level and took the crying girl in his comforting arms.
"Sssh...it's okay Rae, I'm here." He said whispering in her ear. Just then a light bulb burst in a sizzling 'crack' of dark energy. She then looked up at him wiped away her tears and asked simply "Why?"
"Because I love you...Raven." He said hugging her with a smile.
Update: I will be adding at least another chapter, and if i can figure out something good for a real plot i'll add even a third and fourth.
