Chapter 7
Who is Mi San?
Last time....
"InuYasha! It's late and we have to get an early start tomorrow! I suggest that you get some rest yourself so that you may be alert enough. We have long road ahead of us and we need our rest, even if you don't, Sango-sama and I are both weak human beings and therefore need our rest."
"Keh! Whatever!"
InuYasha walked away and jumped into the nearest tree, situating himself and tried to relax enough so that he may be able to fall asleep.
"Oh Kagome! I won't believe that you did that to yourself! I hope everyone is right and that you are okay. Be safe...my Kagome." Whispered InuYasha and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Back at Sesshomaru's Castle....
After Kagome finished eating and bathing she attempted to take a nap, but because she had slept most of the day, she had trouble doing so.
"Hmm...I know it's late, but I wonder if Mi San would mind showing be around the castle. This thing she gave me is pretty nifty..."
Flashback...
"I am at your service Kagome, if you need anything please do not hesitate to summon me."
"But how do I do that, this place seems so big! I know you don't telephones..."
"Te-li -fone? What is that?" asked Mi San full of puzzlement.
"Eh?? Oh! Nothing! Nothing at all! Don't mind me!"
(Seesh! I can't believe I forgot where I was for a second there! Baka Kagome!)
"Ooookay. Anyway, use this to summon me, all you have to do is think about me being here and I will appear immediately." Mi San handed the item to Kagome.
The Miko brought the item closer to her face so that she could study it. It was a purplish stone that was polished, when Kagome wrapped her fingers around it, she could almost feel a slight heat radiating off of it, and could almost feel it pulsing in her hand.
"What is it?" she asked
"That is called an Amethyst, it is a stone that is used by my people to communicate with each other. All you have to do is hold it in your receiving hand, which means the hand that you use the most and I'll be here."
"Wow! It's beautiful! I love it!"
"Well I am glad that you like it, Kagome, no if you will please excuse me I have to get some stuff done for Lord Sesshomaru."
"Okay! Thanks Mi San" Good night.
"Good night, dear."
End Flash Back
"Ok, well here goes, let's see if this works the way Mi San said it would."
Kagome put the summoning stone in her right hand, closed her eyes and concentrated on Mi San being here in the room with her. When she heard a buzzing sound, Kagome opened her eyes and looked up.
"Yes, my Lady, what can I do for you?"
"EEK!! Kami Mi San! You scared the crap out of me! How did you get here so fast?!"
"You summoned me, did you not?" asked Mi San confused once again
(this girl is so puzzling, yet she reminds me of myself when I was here age, ironic)
"Huh? OH yeah! I just wasn't expecting you to be here so fast! And what was the buzzing noise I heard? It sounded like a swarm of bees or something, that was kinda scary."
Once again Mi San laughed and replied,
"That was just the magic you heard, you see when you summon me, I can hear you in my thoughts, so I just say a little incantation and now here I am."
"WOW! That is so neat! How do you do that?"
"Oh! I come from a line of White Witches, very powerful ones at that. I guess I didn't tell you that before, I apologize."
"White Witches? I don't get it" said Kagome, clearly confused.
"Oh, I'm sorry, good witches, witches that only practice good magic, magic to heal and to help. Harm none lest you harm yourselves. We have a witches creed, but enough about me, perhaps we will go into detail at another time. What is it that you wanted, Lady Kagome?"
"I told you, please just call me Kagome, okay (Mi San nods head in agreement), I know it's late, but I was wondering if you could maybe if you have time, um, if you could show me around the castle, I mean if Sesshomaru-sama doesn't get mad, that is. It's just that I slept all day and I cannot sleep! I'm a little anxious and...."
"Yes, of course! (if I don't stop her she's going to go on and on!) I will help you dress and then we shall head on out."
"Oh! Thank you so much Mi San! I owe you one!"
"There's no need to thank me Kagome, I am here to serve you and do as you wish."
"I know but never the less, it's greatly appreciated."

On with the story...
When Kagome was done dressing Mi San escorted her out of her room. After exiting the room, they took a right down the hallway and walked a little further into a dining room.
"This is where Lord Sesshy has his banquets when important guests arrive."
The Miko looked into the room and saw a large mahogany table with what looked like off navy blue sitting pillows that had a black lacey like pattern, when Kagome inspected one of them more closely she saw that the lacy pattern was sakura blossoms. When she ran her hands over the material, she realized to her surprise that the pillows were made of silk.
Mi San gently grabbed Kagome's arm and looped her arms with Kagome's. She then showed Kagome the kitchen.
"This is where all the meals are prepared for the day, the cook is always kind enough to leave a stew simmering on the stove all day for those of us who just don't have time to eat and also for those who find themselves hungry for a midnight snack."
"Wow! This kitchen is huge! I have never seen one so big!" said Kagome full of awe.
Mi San proceeded to show Kagome the rest of the house, passing the western wing of the house by.
"Um, Mi San, what is down there?"
"That is Lord Sesshomaru's personal wing, only himself and Rin stay down there. Only certain servants are allowed down that wing."
"Oh, are you one of them? I mean one of the servants that can go down to that wing?"
"Yes, but only when summoned by Lord Sesshy."
"Lord Sesshy? Doesn't he get mad if you call him that? I forgot to say 'Lord' and he practically broke my neck!"
"Ha ha ha ha ha! The Lord does not know that I call him that, but what he doesn't know can't hurt him, right?" as Mi San was saying this, Kagome began to become pale and looked like she was about to faint.
"Kagome? Are you okay? Lady Kagome?"
"Miko, return to your quarters." Said voice that was cold as ice
"But...what about Mi San..."
"Do not argue with me Miko, return to your quarters at once or you shall suffer the consequences of disobeying me!"
"H-hai, Sesshomaru-sama" Kagome looked at Mi San one last time with regret on her face.
"Mi San, what is the meaning of this? Why have you brought Kagome out of her quarters? And why are you showing such disrespect to this Sesshomaru by calling me by that ridiculous name."
"OH GEEZE! WILL YOU STOP WITH THE 'THIS SESSHOMARU CRAP!' You are so fucking arrogant! Get over yourself already!"
"You dare talk to I, the Great Lord of the Western Lands, in that manner? You will hold your tongue witch or I will cut it out!" said 'Sesshy' angrily.
"OH KAMI! STOP IT WILL YOU! BOY, MY FAMILY HAS SERVED YOUR FAMILY SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME, DO NOT COME TO ME LIKE I AM SOME BITCH OFF THE STREET! IF YOU WANT RESPECT YOU BEST SHOW ME RESPECT, YOU GOT THAT! WE ARE LIKE BROTHER AND SISITER AFTER ALL, ARE WE NOT?" yelled Mi San in response!
"That still does not..."
"Still doesn't what? Huh 'SESSHY'?"
"This is a complete waste of time, why must you always argue with me, why can you not speak to me more respectably?" whined Sesshomaru (of course he would never admit it to anyone)
"Because, that is not how brother's and sisters are, Sesshy." Replied Mi San
"Will you at least refrain from calling me Sesshy to Kagome, it is quite embarrassing."
"Ok, I will try, I apologize."
"Apology accepted, though I would never admit it to anyone if you decided to share, so don't bother telling anyone about it.... So why was the Miko wandering about?" asked the once again, stoic Lord.
"She couldn't sleep and has asked me to show her about the castle, I was just getting ready to show her the Library before we were rudely interrupted" pouted Mi San.
"You can show her tomorrow. For now I would like you to go to Kagome and tell her that this Sesshomaru requests her company tomorrow for breakfast."
"Sure...'this Mi San' can do that (sarcasm), no problem."
"Do not try my patience woman..."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, you big wind bag!" said Mi San casually as she was walking away from the Lord.
"I heard that witch! You are pushing your luck, I only tolerate you because your family has been with us for many generations..." Sesshy called after her.
"yeah, yeah, blah, blah, blah, blah...."whispered Mi San, knowing that the Lord heard her but, chose to ignore her.
(hee hee hee, I love giving him shit! I live for it!) thought the easterner, before heading down the hallway that would eventually lead to Kagome's room.
Ok, now this is the end of this chapter (seriously). So stay tuned for the next chapter where InuYasha confronts his older brother and finds out that Kagome is not dead after all. There's gonna be some angst in it and some other stuff! So please review.

Sesshy: I suppose, although I do not like the way you portray my character, it is not me.
EF: I know if it was anyone else who talked to you that way, you probably would disembowel them, but it is my story after all.
