I am not sure what number it is, but its called, "The woman who loved Sesshomaru" I think it's in the last season or it could be second to last, anyway, I just wanted to let you know about the spoiler, oh and if you are a Sesshy fan (which duh, you must be since you are reading this fic, anyway) this episode is mostly focused on Sesshy and the girl who fell in love with him, if you would like to know what episode number it is, let me know and I will try to find it! Chapter 8
Kagome Shares a Meal with the Stoic Lord
*Last time....
"Lord Sesshy? Doesn't he get mad if you call him that? I forgot to say 'Lord' and he practically broke my neck!"
"Ha ha ha ha ha! The Lord does not know that I call him that, but what he doesn't know can't hurt him, right?" as Mi San was saying this, Kagome began to become pale and looked like she was about to faint.
"Kagome? Are you okay? Lady Kagome?"
"Miko, return to your quarters." Said voice that was cold as ice
"But...what about Mi San..."
"Do not argue with me Miko, return to your quarters at once or you shall suffer the consequences of disobeying me!"
"H-hai, Sesshomaru-sama" Kagome looked at Mi San one last time with regret on her face.
"Mi San, what is the meaning of this? Why have you brought Kagome out of her quarters? And why are you showing such disrespect to this Sesshomaru by calling me by that ridiculous name."*

[Back at Kaede's Village...]
{InuYasha looked over at the hot spring, the spring where Kagome's dead body floated. Blood so much blood, oozing out of every crack and crevice of the rocks which surrounded it.
"Kagome! Kagome! Why did you do this! My Kagome! I loved you how could you do this! I really Loved you!
"No, you didn't! If you loved me you wouldn't have been fucking that bitch! I saw you do it InuYasha! I saw you fucking her! You broke my heart! You caused me so much pain, YOU killed me!"
"No Koi! I didn't, I didn't do it! I swear it! I swear it!"
"LIAR! DO YOU THINK I'M STUPID, INUYASHA! I SAW YOU IN THE CLEARING WITH KIKYO! DO YOU THINK I IMAGINED THINGS? I SAW IT! I SAW YOU...AND HER! IT'S YOUR FAULT! IT'S YOUR FAULT! IT'S YOUR FAULT...!
"NO! IT ISN'T TRUE IT'S NOT TRUE, KAGOME!"
InuYasha awoke screaming, "No! It's not true! It's not true!"
"A dream! It was only a dream! Fuck a dream! It was a God Damn nightmare! What the hell brought on that dream? Could it be guilt? Did Kagome really see us? No there is no way she saw us, I would have known she was there, wouldn't I? All this thinking is giving me a headache, now is a good a time as ever to wake up the others."
InuYasha jumped out of the tree he was sleeping in and walked over to Kaede's hut, taking a calming breath to rid himself of the feelings he was having a few moments ago, then proceeded to walk into the hut.
"OI! Miroku, Sango, wake up we need to get ready to leave, Oi! Wake up!"
"Okay, okay I'm up, please allow me to wake my precious Sango-chan..."
(Miroku rubbing Sango's ass)
"HENTAI! KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOUR SELF YOU PREVERTED HOUSHI!"
"My dear Sango-chan, I was just trying to harmlessly, wake you up."
"Shut up you perverted Houshi! Touch me again and I'll break your wrist, then what are you going to do?"
"Oh my dear Sango-chan, I'm so hurt that you would even think that I am that kind of person..."
"OI! Bouzou! Shut up your starting to piss me off, get off your asses and get your shit we leave in15 minutes."
"But, what about breakfast InuYasha, aren't you hungry?"
"Miroku, who can think of food right now! We have to go save Kagome! So stop your whining and get ready to go. I'll be waiting for you at the edge of the forest."
"InuYasha, do you even know where Sesshomaru-sama lives? Are you sure that Kagome is there?"
"What did I tell you yesterday, Taijai? I saw him with my own eyes."
"Yes, InuYasha, but did you see him take her?"
"No, but I just know she is there, will you quit fucking doubting me! I know what I am talking about! Now to answer your other question of course I know where Baka-maru lives, I used to live there too you know? Geeze"
"EH????!!!!" said Sango in a surprised voice
"Really InuYasha? You lived with your brother? I never knew that." Said Miroku
"That's because you never bothered to ask, bouzou. Besides it ain't no big deal, I left that place as soon as I was old enough to take care of myself."
"Wow InuYasha, it is hard to believe that Sesshomaru-sama took care of you when you were little, I mean he always acts like he despises you so much." Replied Sango
"Yeah, whatever. He does despise me, he only took care of me because it was commanded by our Father, it was for honor not anything else. Now quit wasting time, we've got a long way to go."
"Oh really how far is it to Lord Sesshomaru's castle." Asked the perverted Houshi
"Well if you two ride Kirara and with my demon speed, about 2 days."
"Is that non-stop or is there a break somewhere in between that time?" questioned Sango
"Of course it's non-stop Baka! If we stop it will take at least 3 to 4 days! We don't have time to waste, so quit whining!"
"Why you arrogant little..." said Sango but was thankfully interrupted by the Houshi
"Um! InuYasha, although we understand that you are anxious to get to Kagome, as are we, but you must understand, that we are weak humans and are not as strong as you, if we do go to Lord Sesshomaru's castle, we may be in for some fighting. If Miss Sango and myself do not get some rest, we will not be able to protect ourselves and you will no doubt have to protect us as well as defend yourself, do you see where I'm going with this?"
"Fine! Geeze! Why are we standing here discussing this! Lets go!" replied an almost Irate Hanyou.
[Back at Sesshy's Castle....]
The morning sun radiated through the windows of Kagome's chambers, gently gleaming on Kagome's hair making it look as though it was navy blue. The Miko slowly opened her eyes with a sigh.
"Is it morning already? It feels like I just went to sleep."
Stretching on her bed Kagome looked around the room, realizing that she never actually got the chance to really inspect her surroundings.
She looked above her and saw that there was a pink canopy above her that came down around the bed like transparent silk.
She lazily crawled out of bed and slipped on her house slippers that Mi San thoughtfully provided for her last night.
She walked over to the window and carefully moved the heavy white curtains aside, only to find sheer pink one's that matched the canopy of the bed. She gently moved those out of the way and hooked them behind hooks located on each side of the window. The Miko then unlocked the window to let in the warm summer breeze that held the scent of the sea.
She sighed in awe, realizing that she had the view of the ocean. Kagome stared out to the sea hearing the waves lap on the land and enjoying the peace.
"The ocean! I never knew that he lived here! It is so beautiful and peaceful, you would never think that about Sesshy (hee hee hee, I hope he never knows that's what I call him now too.)
*Flash back...
The day was a perfect cloudless day. Kagome, InuYasha and the other's were at a beach. Although there were no jewel shards around at that time, they were just making their way through in search of Naraku so that they may get the final shard of the Shikon before the evil Hanyou did.
"Oh! I wish that I had my swim suit, it's such a beautiful day!" said Kagome.
The Miko picks up a stick and hold it up...
"InuYasha! Catch! Come on go catch!"
InuYasha briefly ran after the stick because instinct told him to do so.
"WHY YOU!!!!! I'M NOT YOUR PET PUPPY!"
"Yeah, InuYasha but you're a dog demon aren't you?"
"Keh"
*End Flash Back...
Kagome's thoughts suddenly filled with sadness, as she remembered how she ended up here in the first place.
"Oh InuYasha, I miss you so much, how could you break my heart?"
The young Miko stared out into the ocean a little while longer until she came to terms with her situation.
"Ok! That's enough you baka! There's no use crying over spilled milk, what's done is done, I can only move forward now and I know I am strong enough to do it."
Kagome, once again looked around her room in order to take in the things around her.
To the right of the window was a vanity table, with a brush and a hand held mirror made of gold with jewels incrusted in the handles. She walked over to the vanity and saw a large oval shaped mirror carved from some kind of wood, she was not sure what kind of wood it was, but it was elaborately carved into a pattern that looked almost like flowers. When she looked closer she realized it was indeed flowers, roses and sakura blossoms to be exact.
She looked to her right again and directly across from her was a doorway that lead to the bathing room, this she knew because she had bathed in there just last night.
She continued to walk around the room until she came beside the window once again, but this time on the left of it, there were double doors that opened up to a rather large balcony that also looked over ocean. Kagome pushed these doors open and walked out on to the balcony. Inhaling the salty air to cleanse her senses, as she was doing this, she noticed another smell.
"What is that? Flowers?" the Miko from the future looked to her left and saw a garden the bewildered her to no end.
"Wow! It's gorgeous! The flowers smell so nice! I will have to get Mi San to show me the way to the garden so that I can explore!"
With that said, Kagome quickly walked over to her night stand, which was made from the same wood as the mirror and the vanity table, and grabbed the stone that Mi San had given her the night before and summoned her. Kagome heard a crackle and a sizzle and when she opened her eyes Mi San was there.
"Good morning, Kagome, I hope you slept well."
"Oh, yes, I did thank you! Mi San, I was wondering if you could show me to the gardens over there." Said Kagome as she was pointing in the direction of the gardens.
"OH! Of course I can! It would be my pleasure." Replied the white witch, then she said
"But first, Lord Sesshy wishes for your company at breakfast. I think that we should get you ready, the 'all mighty one' (sarcasm once again, don't you just lover her?)hates tardiness.
"Oh! Okay, well then I guess I better hurry up and get ready so that he doesn't decide to strangle me again!" Kagome quickly replied.
Mi San laughed and said,
"My dear, Lord Sesshy can be real scary, but I highly doubt he would do that to you. You are, after all, his special guest. That is why he has decided to put you in a different...well you'll see!"
"Eh? What do you mean Mi San?"
"Oh you'll find out my dear, now lets get you ready!"
[Back with InuYasha and the gang....]
"InuYasha I hate to ask you this, but is it okay if we stop and rest for awhile? My bottom is starting to hurt and we're kinda hungry." Said Miroku
"Keh! Whatever, we'll stop just long enough for us to eat but then we have to be on are way after that. If we want to get there within 2 days, we have to at least make it halfway there today!"
"Thank you InuYasha, we appreciate this." Replied Sango.
"Do we have any ramen? That's the fastest thing to cook." Asked the hanyou
"Yeah, just let me boil some water and we will be able to eat it!" the Taijai responded.
Hmmm... if we time this just right, we could be there in 2 days. I hope that Kagome is okay, and that she isn't dead like I saw. What if I was just imagining things? Maybe she was just asleep.
{Are you stupid or something? You saw the wounds you saw the blood, what makes you think that she is still alive?}
Because I can feel it in my heart, I can feel it in my gut.
{You are a Baka! She's dead just admit it!}
Shut up! Who the fuck are you anyway, just shut the hell up!
{I'm you, stupid! She's dead, once you admit it; things will be a lot easier on us!}
"I said shut up! I'm not gonna waste my time arguing with you!"
"Uhh...InuYasha who are you talking to?" asked a confused houshi
"Eh? No one..."
{hahahaha, you're such a fool!}
Quit flapping your jaw and just leave me alone!
"Um...ok. The food is ready." Said Sango
"Well it's about damn time! I'm hungry!" replied an irritable hanyou.
[Back at with Kagome again....]
After Kagome finished dressing, Mi San escorted Kagome to Sesshomaru's study.
"Um, Mi San.... I thought I was supposed to have breakfast with Sesshomaru-sama?"
"Oh you are, he wanted to see you in his study first, sorry, he just told me that as we were getting you ready..."
"HUH???? Ok I am really confused! I didn't see him in the room? So how could he tell you?"
"Ha ha ha ha...I'm sorry! I really have poor communication skills! He told me psychically.
You see, that is how we communicate when we are not around each other. It makes it easier on him so he does not have to go searching for us around this large castle."
"Oh! Cool!" replied Kagome
"I'm sorry? Are you cold?" asked Mi San
"Ha ha ha! Nope! It's just a figure of speech where I come from, it means 'that's interesting or that's neat' sorry."
"Hm...'cool' I like that!" replied Mi San she then opened the door to allow entrance for Kagome.
"Here she is Lord Sesshomaru, is there anything else you require from me before I take my leave?" asked Mi San.
"No, you are excused." Replied the Lord
Mi San bowed low and took her leave.
Sesshomaru looked at Kagome for quite sometime before saying anything to her at all and then got up and walked towards the door of his study.
"Come Miko, we will be breaking our fast in the gardens."
Kagome looked at the Lord with surprise, not knowing what to say or think.
"Or would you prefer to eat in here?" asked Sesshy
{he's giving me a choice? I can't believe it!}
"Answer now Miko, you're silence although appreciated, is beginning to annoy this Lord Sesshomaru."
"Ano! Sorry! I was shocked is all..."
Sesshomaru rose a delicate eyebrow, being secretly amused by the Miko's reaction, then said in a very emotionless voice, "you are running out of time Miko..."
"Oh! Sorry! Yes I would love to eat in the gardens with you Lord Sesshomaru."
"Then you shall follow me. Do not dawdle."
The Lord lead Kagome to the gardens. When they reached their destination, Sesshomaru took a seat and motioned for Kagome to do the same.
The area that he chose was inside the gazebo. Kagome could smell the flowers as well as the ocean when she breathed in the aromatic air. She looked down and saw a portable table with all kinds of sashimi and 2 bowls of rice as well as 2 cups of green tea.
"Do you find everything to your liking?" asked the stoic Lord
{again, he's being so nice, what the hell is going on}
"Ha-Hai! Everything looks delicious!" replied Kagome
{I better wait until he starts eating before I do, if there is one thing I remember is my table manners}
Sesshomaru picked up his chopstick and began to eat.
{I see that she knows the customs, that is good, maybe having her around will not be as tiresome as I first thought}
Kagome then followed suit and began eating herself.
After the meal was complete, servants came to take away the dishes as well as the table. Curiosity finally getting the best of her the Miko asked Sesshomaru
"Ano, Lord Sesshomaru, if you don't mind me asking, why have you brought me out here."
Sesshomaru was silent for minute seemingly sorting out his thoughts before he answered her question.
"I have brought you out here, Miko, because we have much to discuss and felt that this would be the perfect place to discuss matters, since it is such lovely day. Unless you wish to go back inside."
{I am soooo confused! Why is he being so nice and almost warm?}
"Oh! No I've been wanting to come out here since I saw it early this morning, I just can't figure out how you knew that I wanted to be outside..."
{wait a minute! I wonder if he can read my mind too? No that can't be it! Oh! (it finally dawned on her) Mi San must have mentioned it to Sesshomaru this morning, only I didn't know or hear it because it was psychically. Wow this is gonna take a lot of getting used to!}
"Miko, although I hate repeating myself I will ask you this once again. Why did you try to take your life? What did that hanyou do to you, to cause you such misery?"
{I knew he was gonna ask me that! Damn it! I may as well tell him ore he is never gonna let me be}
"Ano, it's a long story, Sesshomaru-sama, I don't want to waste your time."
"You are only wasting my time by procrastinating. Please proceed with the explanations."
Kagome then went on to tell him everything that happened up until the day she tried to take her own life.
After hearing this, Sesshomaru felt rage build up inside of him, secretly hoping his true from would not appear, he wanted to find InuYasha and kill him for all the pain he put Kagome through, but being the Ice Prince, he kept his emotions hidden behind a calm façade, not wanting Kagome to know what he was feeling at that moment, but failing. Anger briefly flashed through his eyes until, he forced it away, until his eyes took on their cold and emotionless façade once again.
{What was that? Did I just see anger flash in his eyes? Nah! Why would he care anyway}
"That is an interesting story Miko, before we are through here there is one more thing we must discuss."
"Ano, sorry for interrupting Sesshomaru-sama, but will you please just call me Kagome, I may be a Miko, but I'm not a vary good one."
"This Sesshomaru will call you whatever he pleases, Miko! Do not interrupt me again!"
{mou...he's soooo annoying!}
"As I was saying, you do know who Rin is, do you not?" Kagome nodded
"It seems that her last care giver had to leave for a family emergency and will not be returning to the castle, you are to take care of her until I find a replacement, do I make myself clear?"
"Hai..." said Kagome looking down at her knees.
"Good, you will also be moved to a different room. Your quarters will be in same wing as my mine as well as Rin's. Do you have any questions?"
"Hai, how long do I have to stay here? I need to go home and check in with my family to let them know that I am okay."
"You will stay here until I deem it unnecessary. As for seeing your family, I will think upon it and let you know at a later time. Now if you'll excuse me I have work to do. Feel free to explore the gardens. Stay within the gates, it is safe in here. If you wander out, there is no guarantee that I can protect you. Good day." And with that Sesshy quit the gazebo leaving Kagome to her thoughts.
{why does he want to protect me? Why is he being kind? I will have to ask him someday, but not today! Maybe Mi San will know what the heck is going on.}
I will kill him! I will kill him! How dare he treat her the way he does.
{why do you care, she is nothing but a useless ningen}
I do not know... That is a good question. Why do I care so much for her?
{because you have gotten soft since that ningen child became your ward}
Be silent! I don't need to hear this from you! I cannot believe I am arguing with myself. Perhaps a little work out in the dojo will help calm my temper.
Sesshomaru walked towards the dojo, with his thoughts full of the Miko and his baka half-brother.
[Meanwhile back with InuYasha and the others...]
"Ok lets go, we are losing daylight and I want to make it there in time."
"We're ready now InuYasha, please lead the way." said Miroku
So the trio headed towards the Western Lands, each deep in their own thoughts.

Miroku: (rubbing EF's butt ) I am just glad that you are including me in this wonderful story of yours my darling Faery!

EF: Anyway, it's getting closer, pretty soon the brother's are gonna come face to face since the incident, are ya excited?

Sesshy: Please continue, I rather enjoy watching myself inflicting pain on my dear little brother.
EF: Oh Sesshy! You're so violent!
Sesshy: Of course. I am Tai Youkai, am I not?
EF: Uh... good point (Geeze, I hope he never meets Kyo!)
Sesshy: Do not think I do not remember the Baka Neko, if I see him I will Kill him!
EF: Wahhhh, but Sesshy! I promised you! It was strictly innocent!

"Is that non-stop or is there a break somewhere in between that time?" questioned Sango
"Of course it's non-stop Baka! If we stop it will take at least 3 to 4 days! We don't have time to waste, so quit whining!"
"Why you arrogant little..." said Sango but was thankfully interrupted by the Houshi
"Um! InuYasha, although we understand that you are anxious to get to Kagome, as are we, but you must understand, that we are weak humans and are not as strong as you, if we do go to Lord Sesshomaru's castle, we may be in for some fighting. If Miss Sango and myself do not get some rest, we will not be able to protect ourselves and you will no doubt have to protect us as well as defend yourself, do you see where I'm going with this?"
"Fine! Geeze! Why are we standing here discussing this! Lets go!" replied an almost Irate Hanyou.
[Back at Sesshy's Castle....]
The morning sun radiated through the windows of Kagome's chambers, gently gleaming on Kagome's hair making it look as though it was navy blue. The Miko slowly opened her eyes with a sigh.
"Is it morning already? It feels like I just went to sleep."
Stretching on her bed Kagome looked around the room, realizing that she never actually got the chance to really inspect her surroundings.
She looked above her and saw that there was a pink canopy above her that came down around the bed like transparent silk.
She lazily crawled out of bed and slipped on her house slippers that Mi San thoughtfully provided for her last night.
She walked over to the window and carefully moved the heavy white curtains aside, only to find sheer pink one's that matched the canopy of the bed. She gently moved those out of the way and hooked them behind hooks located on each side of the window. The Miko then unlocked the window to let in the warm summer breeze that held the scent of the sea.
She sighed in awe, realizing that she had the view of the ocean. Kagome stared out to the sea hearing the waves lap on the land and enjoying the peace.
"The ocean! I never knew that he lived here! It is so beautiful and peaceful, you would never think that about Sesshy (hee hee hee, I hope he never knows that's what I call him now too.)
*Flash back...
The day was a perfect cloudless day. Kagome, InuYasha and the other's were at a beach. Although there were no jewel shards around at that time, they were just making their way through in search of Naraku so that they may get the final shard of the Shikon before the evil Hanyou did.
"Oh! I wish that I had my swim suit, it's such a beautiful day!" said Kagome.
The Miko picks up a stick and hold it up...
"InuYasha! Catch! Come on go catch!"
InuYasha briefly ran after the stick because instinct told him to do so.
"WHY YOU!!!!! I'M NOT YOUR PET PUPPY!"
"Yeah, InuYasha but you're a dog demon aren't you?"
"Keh"
*End Flash Back...
Kagome's thoughts suddenly filled with sadness, as she remembered how she ended up here in the first place.
"Oh InuYasha, I miss you so much, how could you break my heart?"
The young Miko stared out into the ocean a little while longer until she came to terms with her situation.
"Ok! That's enough you baka! There's no use crying over spilled milk, what's done is done, I can only move forward now and I know I am strong enough to do it."
Kagome, once again looked around her room in order to take in the things around her.
To the right of the window was a vanity table, with a brush and a hand held mirror made of gold with jewels incrusted in the handles. She walked over to the vanity and saw a large oval shaped mirror carved from some kind of wood, she was not sure what kind of wood it was, but it was elaborately carved into a pattern that looked almost like flowers. When she looked closer she realized it was indeed flowers, roses and sakura blossoms to be exact.
She looked to her right again and directly across from her was a doorway that lead to the bathing room, this she knew because she had bathed in there just last night.
She continued to walk around the room until she came beside the window once again, but this time on the left of it, there were double doors that opened up to a rather large balcony that also looked over ocean. Kagome pushed these doors open and walked out on to the balcony. Inhaling the salty air to cleanse her senses, as she was doing this, she noticed another smell.
"What is that? Flowers?" the Miko from the future looked to her left and saw a garden the bewildered her to no end.
"Wow! It's gorgeous! The flowers smell so nice! I will have to get Mi San to show me the way to the garden so that I can explore!"
With that said, Kagome quickly walked over to her night stand, which was made from the same wood as the mirror and the vanity table, and grabbed the stone that Mi San had given her the night before and summoned her. Kagome heard a crackle and a sizzle and when she opened her eyes Mi San was there.
"Good morning, Kagome, I hope you slept well."
"Oh, yes, I did thank you! Mi San, I was wondering if you could show me to the gardens over there." Said Kagome as she was pointing in the direction of the gardens.
"OH! Of course I can! It would be my pleasure." Replied the white witch, then she said
"But first, Lord Sesshy wishes for your company at breakfast. I think that we should get you ready, the 'all mighty one' (sarcasm once again, don't you just lover her?)hates tardiness.
"Oh! Okay, well then I guess I better hurry up and get ready so that he doesn't decide to strangle me again!" Kagome quickly replied.
Mi San laughed and said,
"My dear, Lord Sesshy can be real scary, but I highly doubt he would do that to you. You are, after all, his special guest. That is why he has decided to put you in a different...well you'll see!"
"Eh? What do you mean Mi San?"
"Oh you'll find out my dear, now lets get you ready!"
[Back with InuYasha and the gang....]
"InuYasha I hate to ask you this, but is it okay if we stop and rest for awhile? My bottom is starting to hurt and we're kinda hungry." Said Miroku
"Keh! Whatever, we'll stop just long enough for us to eat but then we have to be on are way after that. If we want to get there within 2 days, we have to at least make it halfway there today!"
"Thank you InuYasha, we appreciate this." Replied Sango.
"Do we have any ramen? That's the fastest thing to cook." Asked the hanyou
"Yeah, just let me boil some water and we will be able to eat it!" the Taijai responded.
Hmmm... if we time this just right, we could be there in 2 days. I hope that Kagome is okay, and that she isn't dead like I saw. What if I was just imagining things? Maybe she was just asleep.
{Are you stupid or something? You saw the wounds you saw the blood, what makes you think that she is still alive?}
Because I can feel it in my heart, I can feel it in my gut.
{You are a Baka! She's dead just admit it!}
Shut up! Who the fuck are you anyway, just shut the hell up!
{I'm you, stupid! She's dead, once you admit it; things will be a lot easier on us!}
"I said shut up! I'm not gonna waste my time arguing with you!"
"Uhh...InuYasha who are you talking to?" asked a confused houshi
"Eh? No one..."
{hahahaha, you're such a fool!}
Quit flapping your jaw and just leave me alone!
"Um...ok. The food is ready." Said Sango
"Well it's about damn time! I'm hungry!" replied an irritable hanyou.
[Back at with Kagome again....]
After Kagome finished dressing, Mi San escorted Kagome to Sesshomaru's study.
"Um, Mi San.... I thought I was supposed to have breakfast with Sesshomaru-sama?"
"Oh you are, he wanted to see you in his study first, sorry, he just told me that as we were getting you ready..."
"HUH???? Ok I am really confused! I didn't see him in the room? So how could he tell you?"
"Ha ha ha ha...I'm sorry! I really have poor communication skills! He told me psychically.
You see, that is how we communicate when we are not around each other. It makes it easier on him so he does not have to go searching for us around this large castle."
"Oh! Cool!" replied Kagome
"I'm sorry? Are you cold?" asked Mi San
"Ha ha ha! Nope! It's just a figure of speech where I come from, it means 'that's interesting or that's neat' sorry."
"Hm...'cool' I like that!" replied Mi San she then opened the door to allow entrance for Kagome.
"Here she is Lord Sesshomaru, is there anything else you require from me before I take my leave?" asked Mi San.
"No, you are excused." Replied the Lord
Mi San bowed low and took her leave.
Sesshomaru looked at Kagome for quite sometime before saying anything to her at all and then got up and walked towards the door of his study.
"Come Miko, we will be breaking our fast in the gardens."
Kagome looked at the Lord with surprise, not knowing what to say or think.
"Or would you prefer to eat in here?" asked Sesshy
{he's giving me a choice? I can't believe it!}
"Answer now Miko, you're silence although appreciated, is beginning to annoy this Lord Sesshomaru."
"Ano! Sorry! I was shocked is all..."
Sesshomaru rose a delicate eyebrow, being secretly amused by the Miko's reaction, then said in a very emotionless voice, "you are running out of time Miko..."
"Oh! Sorry! Yes I would love to eat in the gardens with you Lord Sesshomaru."
"Then you shall follow me. Do not dawdle."
The Lord lead Kagome to the gardens. When they reached their destination, Sesshomaru took a seat and motioned for Kagome to do the same.
The area that he chose was inside the gazebo. Kagome could smell the flowers as well as the ocean when she breathed in the aromatic air. She looked down and saw a portable table with all kinds of sashimi and 2 bowls of rice as well as 2 cups of green tea.
"Do you find everything to your liking?" asked the stoic Lord
{again, he's being so nice, what the hell is going on}
"Ha-Hai! Everything looks delicious!" replied Kagome
{I better wait until he starts eating before I do, if there is one thing I remember is my table manners}
Sesshomaru picked up his chopstick and began to eat.
{I see that she knows the customs, that is good, maybe having her around will not be as tiresome as I first thought}
Kagome then followed suit and began eating herself.
After the meal was complete, servants came to take away the dishes as well as the table. Curiosity finally getting the best of her the Miko asked Sesshomaru
"Ano, Lord Sesshomaru, if you don't mind me asking, why have you brought me out here."
Sesshomaru was silent for minute seemingly sorting out his thoughts before he answered her question.
"I have brought you out here, Miko, because we have much to discuss and felt that this would be the perfect place to discuss matters, since it is such lovely day. Unless you wish to go back inside."
{I am soooo confused! Why is he being so nice and almost warm?}
"Oh! No I've been wanting to come out here since I saw it early this morning, I just can't figure out how you knew that I wanted to be outside..."
{wait a minute! I wonder if he can read my mind too? No that can't be it! Oh! (it finally dawned on her) Mi San must have mentioned it to Sesshomaru this morning, only I didn't know or hear it because it was psychically. Wow this is gonna take a lot of getting used to!}
"Miko, although I hate repeating myself I will ask you this once again. Why did you try to take your life? What did that hanyou do to you, to cause you such misery?"
{I knew he was gonna ask me that! Damn it! I may as well tell him ore he is never gonna let me be}
"Ano, it's a long story, Sesshomaru-sama, I don't want to waste your time."
"You are only wasting my time by procrastinating. Please proceed with the explanations."
Kagome then went on to tell him everything that happened up until the day she tried to take her own life.
After hearing this, Sesshomaru felt rage build up inside of him, secretly hoping his true from would not appear, he wanted to find InuYasha and kill him for all the pain he put Kagome through, but being the Ice Prince, he kept his emotions hidden behind a calm façade, not wanting Kagome to know what he was feeling at that moment, but failing. Anger briefly flashed through his eyes until, he forced it away, until his eyes took on their cold and emotionless façade once again.
{What was that? Did I just see anger flash in his eyes? Nah! Why would he care anyway}
"That is an interesting story Miko, before we are through here there is one more thing we must discuss."
"Ano, sorry for interrupting Sesshomaru-sama, but will you please just call me Kagome, I may be a Miko, but I'm not a vary good one."
"This Sesshomaru will call you whatever he pleases, Miko! Do not interrupt me again!"
{mou...he's soooo annoying!}
"As I was saying, you do know who Rin is, do you not?" Kagome nodded
"It seems that her last care giver had to leave for a family emergency and will not be returning to the castle, you are to take care of her until I find a replacement, do I make myself clear?"
"Hai..." said Kagome looking down at her knees.
"Good, you will also be moved to a different room. Your quarters will be in same wing as my mine as well as Rin's. Do you have any questions?"
"Hai, how long do I have to stay here? I need to go home and check in with my family to let them know that I am okay."
"You will stay here until I deem it unnecessary. As for seeing your family, I will think upon it and let you know at a later time. Now if you'll excuse me I have work to do. Feel free to explore the gardens. Stay within the gates, it is safe in here. If you wander out, there is no guarantee that I can protect you. Good day." And with that Sesshy quit the gazebo leaving Kagome to her thoughts.
{why does he want to protect me? Why is he being kind? I will have to ask him someday, but not today! Maybe Mi San will know what the heck is going on.}
I will kill him! I will kill him! How dare he treat her the way he does.
{why do you care, she is nothing but a useless ningen}
I do not know... That is a good question. Why do I care so much for her?
{because you have gotten soft since that ningen child became your ward}
Be silent! I don't need to hear this from you! I cannot believe I am arguing with myself. Perhaps a little work out in the dojo will help calm my temper.
Sesshomaru walked towards the dojo, with his thoughts full of the Miko and his baka half-brother.
[Meanwhile back with InuYasha and the others...]
"Ok lets go, we are losing daylight and I want to make it there in time."
"We're ready now InuYasha, please lead the way." said Miroku
So the trio headed towards the Western Lands, each deep in their own thoughts.

Miroku: (rubbing EF's butt ) I am just glad that you are including me in this wonderful story of yours my darling Faery!
EF: I'm glad you're so interested in my story but do you have to touch my butt?
Sesshomaru: Houshi, remove your hands from MY Faery's bottom or I will us the Tokijin to cut off both your arms!
Miroku: Sorry! It's the curse in my hand, it could not be helped...
Sango: I'll show your cursed! Sango hits Miro-san on the head with her Hiraikutsu
Miro-kun falls down eyes spinning from being knocked out.
InuYasha: That bouzou never learns his lesson! Geeze!
Kagome: "........."
EF: Anyway, it's getting closer, pretty soon the brother's are gonna come face to face since the incident, are ya excited?
Inu: Keh!
Sesshy: Please continue, I rather enjoy watching myself inflicting pain on my dear little brother.
EF: Oh Sesshy! You're so violent!
Sesshy: Of course. I am Tai Youkai, am I not?
EF: Uh... good point (Geeze, I hope he never meets Kyo!)
Sesshy: Do not think I do not remember the Baka Neko, if I see him I will Kill him!
EF: Wahhhh, but Sesshy! I promised you! It was strictly innocent!
Sesshy: I care not what you say, he will die!
EF: WAHHHHHH! Sesshy you're sooooo mean!
Sesshy: Quiet, you are making me ears bleed, with your superfluous whining!
*A/N: I know I said in the last chapter that InuYasha was gonna see Sesshy in this chapter, but I decided to work on the growing relationship with Sesshy and Kagome.
