What a great chapter, but I have to say that it was hard at times to get my head around it. Apart for that it was a great story, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Please keep up thegreat work, and update soon.Triwizard Redux

A lot of data dump there. I suppose Harry's going to be attacking the basic Wizarding government as well as Voldemort?
Nice, confusing, tale to tell the fake Moody. (This sort of brings to mind the question of how much (in the canon story) did Dumbledore tell Moody?)
But what's Harry going to do with all this information? Will he be publishing it? will he be allowing people into the secret library? What is in Merlin's chamber?
Looking forward to more. Thanks for writing this.
Tom A.Author's response
Alas, the 'data dump' will be repeated in Re-Ordered' (just so everyone is warned). And what's in Merlin's chamber? Why, anything Harry needs, of course!

Harry's discussion with Crouch/Moody caught me by surprise, and it was only at the author's note that I understood your reasoning. The political discussion was, to me, both interesting, and close to home. On my mother's side, Both Anne Bolyn and Catherine Howard were members of my family line. Charles the younger, is also listed in my family but only as an adjunct. My mother's family descends from two lines, the Dodges and the Howards, both of whom were retainers to William the bastard of Normandy, (often called William the Conqueror) and accompanied him on his mission of conquest in 1066.
Rather than an oligarchy, although there is a strong 'old money' factor involved, the wizarding government seems to me more a (semi)benevolent dictatorship, completely corrupted by gold and/or prestige. (the late Roman empire comes to mind.)
As always, I eagerly await the next chapter of 'Triwizard Redux'
AlorkinAuthor's response
Well, it's difficult to tell from canon what sort of government it has (other than corrept and incompetant), so I went with a model roughly part late republican Rom and partly 18th century Britain, without those pesky elections.

Excelent chapter!! Really interesting explanation of how the politics works in the wizard world, I just hope Harry have some plan in the future to change it(maybe using their own laws against?).
You give Barty Jr. a good reason to wait before kidnap Harry, that means the tourment will continue, I can't wait to read what changes will you do.
I hope to read next chapter soon, the Yule ball will be interesting.
Cheers.

It got a bit too technical for me, in all honesty. I'm a little frustrated merely because both of your stories are still setting themselves up. I can't wait for them to become more situated.
