November was dying for December. December came, and the cold took over Halifax. Julius and Delilah felt like they were dying, too.

This time, This place
Misused, Mistakes
Too long, Too late
Who was I to make you wait
Just one chance
Just one breath
Just in case there's just one left
'Cause you know,
you know, you know...

Julius tried to hide his tears in the Halifax bus station with Delilah. He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe Scarlett found his poetry book and sent it away to professionals. They liked it, and wanted to see him in person. He sincerly doubt it that if he went, he probley wouldn't be able to come back. They said this was going to be big, and take time to work on.

Al and Scarlett already said their good byes to Julius, and went to go get something to snack on. They knew that Delilah and Julius needed some time to be alone together. Julius had a big, black suit case and was in his blue winter jacket. Delilah was looking as beautiful as ever in her nice brown winter jacket.

"So, this is it, huh? You're leaving." She said, twirling her hair with her index finger, looking down.

Julius but a hand behind his head. "Yeah. I guess this is it."

That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you'll be with me
and you'll never go
Stop breathing if
I don't see you anymore

Julius noticed a tear in Delilahs face, which made him give off a tear. Julius quickly wiped it away. "Don't be sad, De. I'll always write to you."

"Yeah, it's just not the same, you know?" Then she smirked. "Who's going to now look after the academys big idiot without me?"

Julius let out a laugh.

On my knees, I'll ask
Last chance for one last dance
'Cause with you, I'd withstand
All of hell to hold your hand
I'd give it all
I'd give for us
Give anything but I won't give up
'Cause you know,
you know, you know...

The intercom then came to life as a females voice was heard: "Bus number eleven to Ontario, now aboarding."

Julius let out a sigh.

"Bye, Julius..."

She put out her hand, expecting Julius to shake it.

"Oh, Delilah, that's so cheep!" Julius teased her. "Come here."

Julius grabbed her in a hug. Delilah whispered in his ear, "I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you, too."

The both broke the hug, both giving false smiles.

"Best of luck, man." Al said as him and Scarlett just re joined them.

"Bye, kitten." Scarlett replied.

Al and Julius shook hands, and Scarlett gave Julius a hug.

"Thanks for everything, guys." Julius said.

He wanted to leave before the water works came. He picked up his suitcase, and the male bus driver asked him if he wanted him to put it with the lugage.

"No, thanks," replied Julius as he got onto the bus.

Julius got onto the bus with anxiety in his stomache. He felt horrible leaving them. Julius sat down by the window seat, put his suitcase beside the other chair so no stranger would sit by him. He looked out the window, she see Delilah, Al, and Scarlett waving their good byes. Julius noticed the frost on window. He wrote backwards on the window so the three could read it:

I'll miss you.

So far away

So far away
Been far away for far too long
But you know, you know, you know...

Al and Scarlett left. Even through the buses loud noises, he still heard Delilah said she wanted to say another moment to make sure the bus leaves safely. She put a hand to her mouth, as if he had died. She was now crying freely.

Julius' heart broke in half. He hated to see Delilah cry. The bus driver got into the big bus drivers seat. He closed the bus' doors and was about to take off.

"STOP!" Cried out Julius.

The bus driver was confused, but stopped.

"Everything alright?" The bus driver asked with concern.

"No," Julius replied, shaking his head. "Please open the bus doors."

Julius quickly grabbed his suitcase, and ran out the bus doors. Delilah gasped when she show him off the bus, and the bus started to take off.

I wanted
I wanted you to stay
'Cause I needed
I need to hear you say
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I forgive you
For being away for far too long
So keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving
Hold on to me and
never let me go

Julius approched the sad Delilah. "Julius, what are you doing? your dream..."

"I don't want to leave. I don't care if I don't become a poet. I'm already happy here. I'm not leaving." Julius replied. "That's more better than being a poet. My dream is to be with you."

"Julius..." Delilah said with tears watering from happiness.

The both got into another hug, with hope in their eyes.

"I could never leave you, De," Julius whispered, as gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Exspecally near Christmas."

Delilah was surprised by Julius' kiss on the cheek, but a good surprise. They both stared into each others eyes. Julius looked up. "Look, a mistle toe."

Delilah laughed to see a mistle toe on the lower roof the the bus station.

"May I?" Asked Julius.

"I don't know," Delilah said in a flirtious tone. "You never tried."

Even in the cold, they were warm with each others first kiss. The best Christmas present they both ever had.

THE END

Happy holidays, everyone! Have a happy-earily-Merry Christmas!
