The weekend had seemed to drag on and on for Willow. She and Tara had not even been able to talk on the phone. She was still getting this vibe that something was not quite right with the girl. But she could not be sure exactly what was going on. She only hoped that her girlfriend (never thought she be able to think that) would trust her someday enough to tell her. No matter how bad it was. Willow would stand by her always.
The two sat in their usual spot in the library. It was still the best place for the two of them to meet since Tara could come in early and her uncle really did not care if they were there. She could hear her uncle and Miss Calendar talking in his office but could not make out what they were saying. Which was all right with her. She had something more interesting to keep her attention.
The blonde with those mesmerizing blue eyes sat next to her. They were in the process of doing her cousins homework. Or they were supposed to be. The red head had yet to meet this mysterious cousin or the mysterious brother that Tara sometimes talked about. And that was another reason to make her wonder.
"This is right, isn't it?" Tara was looking down at the paper. She was trying to get Willow to double check her figures. When the red head did not answer, she looked up. She found her girlfriend staring at her. "Willow?" Still the other girl did not answer, bringing a smile to her face. "Sweetie, is there something wrong?"
Finally, Willow snapped out of her own personal world. "What?" She took in the smile on her girlfriend's face. "Oh! Sorry. No, nothing wrong. You're are just so amazingly beautiful that I got kinda, well, caught up in simply looking at you. I'm sorry if I was distracted."
Tara's face instantly turned red. "Me? You think I'm beautiful? But, no. You are the beautiful one. I'm just me."
"And that's what makes you so dang beautiful." Willow just could not resist any longer. All the time that she had been staring at her, she had wanted to taste those sweet lips of hers. Slowly, she leaned in. Finally, their lips met. Again, it was like after the dance. Instant fireworks were going off.
"What the hell?" Both girls quickly broke apart at the sound of the voice. Standing in the doorway, staring at the two young women, was a thin blonde with hair down to the middle of her back. "Tara! What the hell do you think you are doing?"
"Beth." With that one word Willow noticed that there was also a lot of pain. Trying to avoid talking about what her cousin had surely seen, Tara said, "We were just finishing your homework. In fact, it's all done, if you want it." Her cheeks were now turning a dangerous pale color instead of the cute blush of just moments before.
Willow looked from her girlfriend to the new person. She could sense that Tara was now very uncomfortable. She just was not sure if it was because the two had been caught kissing, or if it had more to do with the type of person that her cousin was.
"I don't care about that!" Beth shook her head. "I heard what happened at the dance. But I thought that people were just pulling my chain. I cannot believe that you are going with this, this..." She shook her head in disgust. "I cannot believe that you are with another girl. Since when are you riding the big ole lesbian bandwagon. That's just not right."
Before Tara could say anything, Willow jumped to her feet and made her way to stand before this very ignorant girl. For the first time in her life, she was going to do something about the torment she had faced since she was in kindergarten. "Tara is a wonderful girl. I like her very much. So far, we are very happy. Doesn't everyone deserve to be happy?"
That brought a smile to the thin blonde. "You just don't get it, do you? Tara is different from everyone else. And I'm not just talking about the two of you, although, yuck! Tara can never have normal. If you let yourself get involved too deeply, you are only going to find yourself hurting." She looked over the red head's shoulder. "I may just have to add to that little bargain of ours. You think your dad is going to be happy to find out that his little girl is queer? And just wait until Donny finds out. You are in for it, little girl."
Willow took a couple steps towards the other girl. "I suggest that you leave now. Before I lose my temper." The girl just rolled her eyes and turned and left. The red head quickly made her way back to the blonde. Her pace was quickened by the sound of a sob. "Tara, baby? Are you all right?"
"She's right, you know." Tara brought her tear filled eyes to Willow's bright green ones. "Dad is not going to accept this. He'll probably move me again. And Donny? You think Angel and Cordelia are bad. Wait until he finds out."
"We'll deal, Baby." She kneeled in front of her girlfriend. "Remember something, we have good friends. We're not alone in any of this. And I'm certainly not going anywhere."

Giles sat at his desk. He was trying to learn the new computer system that Principal Snyder was forcing him to use. The old system seemed just fine to him. But he had no say in any of it. Unfortunately.
"You pressed the F button. You need to press the F1 button." Jenny could not help but laugh at the computer illiterate that was now becoming her boyfriend. "I think you may just be beyond hope when it comes to computers."
He looked up at her from the computer screen, frowning deeply. "I could have told you that a long time ago." The frown turned into a smile the minute he looked into her dark eyes. There was something there. She was definitely the right woman for him, even if they did have some differences. Like she lived more for computers and he for books.
"But you never had me for a teacher." She smiled down at him. "You'd be amazed at some of the things that I can teach you. If you're willing to learn."
"Yes, well." Giles quickly turned back to the computer screen. The tops of his ears were turning a nice shade of red. "I would not mind learning from you."
Jenny took a step closer and put her hand on his shoulder. "Rupert, we have got to get you out of this library. Why don't the two of us see what lies in this little town of Sunnydale. No real plans, just the two of us cruising around. What do you say?"
Giles again looked up from the computer screen. There was a very large grin on his face. "An evening with you? I could not think of a way I would rather spend an evening."
"So, I take it we now have our second date?" Jenny smiled as he blushed some more. "Maybe this time we'll get to finish that kiss we started. I was so looking forward to that."
"As was I."

"Hey Anya, wait up!" Xander ran after his girlfriend. Another strange thought. Alexander Harris with a girlfriend. And so did he best friend Willow. He saw her stop and smile at him. "Thanks for waiting. I wanted you to know that I'm sorry that I didn't call you this weekend."
"That's all right." She looked a little sad. "I'm sure that you had better things to do."
He smiled big at her. "Well, there was a very good reason that I didn't call." The smile grew larger. "And why didn't you call me?"
"I, uh.." She looked at him and rolled her eyes. "We didn't give each other our phone numbers!" She laughed a little. "I guess that was just a small oversight on both our parts. We'll have to rectify that. If we aren't talking in person, the phone is the next best thing."
"I agree." He took her hand in his. "And that way, we can make plans. For other dates." He swallowed hard. "If you want to keep dating this big ole nerd that is."
Again, she laughed softly. "You are not a nerd. Not to me, you aren't. You are kinda cute, in fact." She paused. "In a geeky sort of way."
Now Xander laughed. Not only did he finally have a girlfriend, he finally had one that was funny. And he like that. "You are as big a geek as I am. Only you are the most beautiful geek that I have ever seen."
"Why, thank you Mr. Harris." They began walking down the hallway. "Did you hear from Willow? That was some big thing she and Tara kinda sprung on us."
"I know." He smiled. "We did talk. She's happier than I've ever known her to be. And that's fine with me. I just wish she would have told me." He stopped in his tracks. Anya jerked to a stop. "This is so not good. I wonder if they've seen it."
"What are you talking about." Anya turned to look at the lockers. One of them had 'dike' written in red capital letters. "Who would do such a thing?"
"I'll give you one guess." Xander felt the anger building up inside of him. "And if I even see his sorry ass, he is so toast."

Spike and Buffy sat out in the quad. They had now made this their special spot, at least when they were at school. The two just loved to sit on the bench together and hold one another. They did not even talk much. Just the two of them being able to be with one another.
"This just still seems so unreal." Buffy looked up into his eyes. "It feels so right. And that just isn't something that I'm used to."
"It is right, baby." He kissed the top of her head. "I feel like we've kinda been together forever and have been meant to be together for that long. Do you know what I mean?"
"Always." Buffy nodded. "It seems to describe us pretty well." She felt him stiffen. The blonde could not understand why. She followed his gaze. Angel was with somebody other than Cordelia. There was this really pale looking girl. Her eyes seemed to be kinda glassy as she looked around. "Who's that?"
"Drusilla." Spike could not take his eyes off from his brother and the other girl. He stiffened even more when he saw his big brother lean in and kiss the girl.
"You know her?" Buffy looked from the girl to Spike. There was a look of anger in his eyes. Kinda like the one at the dance when he had decked Angel. But that was because he had been protecting her and Willow and Tara. Was he wanting to protect this girl as well?
That question made him look at Buffy. "She's my ex." The anger was building by the second.
"Oh." That was all that Buffy managed as she felt a pang. A pang, but why? She knew. It was the green eyed monster taking over. She was so jealous of this girl that she did not even know.
"No worries, my love." Finally the look of anger slowly drained from his eyes. "I'm just worried about her. After we broke up, she kinda got into some things that she shouldn't. I'm just worried about her. That's all. And I don't think Angel is all that concerned with her. I think that maybe he's just using her. And that really frosts my cookies."
Buffy smiled at the term he used. "Frosts your cookies?"
Spike shrugged. "I don't like other people using other people. Especially when they are related to me. I'm going to keep an eye on her for awhile. Don't get jealous. I just don't want Angel to be hurting anyone else."

Angel did not even see his little brother sitting with Buffy. He was too busy trying to keep up with Drusilla. And he was keeping an eye out for Cordelia, his ex. He so wanted her to see her with a new girl.
"The stars are alive, did you know that?" Drusilla smiled at her new boyfriend. How had she gotten a boyfriend? The last thing she remember was flying off into a nice deep sleep. "And so is the moon. It talks to me from time to time."
Angel just laughed. He knew that she was probably on the drugs again. Which one, he was not sure. But it did not matter. The only reason that he was even thinking about going out with her was to make Cordelia jealous and realize what a big mistake it was for her to have left him.
Drusilla nearly fell to the ground. As she got up, she noticed Spike sitting with a strange girl. "And what's the nay sayer up to?" She began to pout. "He never let me have any fun." She turned to look back into Angel's eyes. "You let me have fun. And I'm so glad. Fun is what we all should be having."
"I agree." Angel looked at her. If she weren't so spaced out and so high, she would be an exquisite looking woman. But she had no control anymore. And he really did not care. His eyes caught with a familiar figure. But it was not the one that he had been hoping to see. In fact, it was someone that he had not seen since he was in middle school. His heart nearly jumped out of his chest at the sight of her.
The blonde girl walked on into the school. His gaze followed her all the way. "What's got my baby doll's attention?" Drusilla asked, her speech was slightly slurred.
"Nothing." He smiled down at her. He leaned in and kissed her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed her body tightly against his. "Nothing could take me away from you, baby."

Cordelia had been at the school since before seven. She was in desperate need of finding someone. Someone that was still hip and cool and who would not give her a hard time for the past few days of humiliation she had received at that moron ex of hers.

"Doyle!" Cordelia walked up casually to him. "You're just the person I've been looking for." When he had first moved from Ireland, it was clear that he had been very interested in her.
The dark haired boy looked up at her. "Cordelia. Long time, no see." He turned to get a better look at her. "Classy as ever, I see. So what brings you slumming?"
"Slumming?" She was surprised by the question. "Whatever do you mean by slumming?"
"Look, I heard about what happened at the dance." He looked her right in the eye. "And I heard about how you dumped Angel. I'm not looking to be your boy toy. The one that you use to try and make him jealous." He smiled sadly. "But if you're looking for a real relationship, I'm your guy. And trust me when I say that you and Angel never had a real relationship." He stepped in closer. "But the only way that I'd even consider going out with you is if you changed. You are a bigot. And I don't like them." Doyle waited another second. Cordelia just stared at him. "I have two moms. So you saying and doing what you did, not going to have us happen."
"What?" That was all the girl could manage.
He stepped even closer. "I think that deep down inside of there is a really sweet girl. Someone that I'd like to get to know. But for that to happen, I would have to know that you can get past this being better than everyone else." A smile curled on his lips. "I'll wait for you, Cordelia Chase. It will be worth the wait. If you give a little."

Wesley and Faith sat out in her van. It was not often that the two of them spent any time alone together. They were not the closest of siblings, especially after he went off to college. But she needed someone to talk to other than her friends.
"So, you've asked to speak to me, why?" There was big time surprise in his voice.
"Hey, can't little sisters want to spend time with their big brothers?" He shot her a look. "All right. I'll just come to the point." She looked at him carefully. "Ha, ha." He rolled his eyes at her. "And what about you? You and a musician? Haven't you done that before?"
"Well, yeah." She shrugged. "But this is Oz. He's so different. He seems to genuinely care. He wasn't even the one that made the first move. I did."
"But isn't that how your dates usually go?" Wesley teased.
"Hey!" She again laughed. "I know I kinda have a way of doing things. But this seems so different. And I know, young yet. But what if he's the one? How do I really know for sure?"
"I think if you knew the answer to that, we'd all be better off." Wesley smiled at his little sister. "We just have to follow where our hearts lead us."
