Everyone sat around the lunch table. And by everyone, even Faith and Oz were part of the group today. After what nice little message had been scribbled on Willow's locker, they all wanted to discuss what they should do about the whole thing and to show their support for their friends.
"Do?" Willow looked at all of her friends. It amazed her that she now had so many now. For the longest time, it had been just her and Xander. Faith finally had moved back but she was mostly to herself. Buffy just arrived, bringing Spike into the fold. Anya and Oz were their because of Xander and Faith, respectfully. And of course, Tara was now holding her hand.
"I really don't think there is much we can do." Tara's quiet voice finished off what Willow had began to say. It was like the two of them were already thinking the same thoughts. It sometimes scared her.
"We can beat the shit out of Cordy and Angel." Faith looked over where Angel sat. But, she noticed, not with Cordelia. He was with some anorexic looking dark haired girl. The girl just did not look healthy.
"That's not an option." Xander looked at his cousin. "We may all want to do that, but it just isn't an option. Is it?"
Anya hit him on the arm. "I don't want you to get in trouble for doing something stupid. Even if they do have it coming to them. We'll have to find another way."
"Guys." Everyone turned to look at Willow, making her blush a little. "I hate to say this, but I don't want any of you doing anything. People are going to be stupid. I think that's why I kinda fought how I felt." She turned and smiled at Tara. "I knew I was attracted to other girls before I met Tara. But it took her for me to be able to come forward. I just could not be that close to her and not say how I felt." Tara blushed a nice deep shade of red at the redhead's words.
"I get what you are saying." Faith suddenly stood up as she saw Cordelia talking to Doyle. "I'm just saying that if she gets in my way, she's gonna be walking funny for a week. Maybe even longer when I'm through with her."
Oz took her hand in his own. When she looked down at him, there was a look that she had not seen on a guy's face before. At least not when it was aimed at her. She smiled back at him. "Just be careful. We have so little time together now."
"True." Faith sighed and sat back down thinking how she wished that he and his band weren't quite so popular sometimes. "It's just that I'm action girl. And this just feels like something I should be taking action on."
Buffy and Spike had sat silently through the whole exchange. But not because they weren't concerned about their friends. Both were taking in Angel and Drusilla. Spike kept looking at his ex girlfriend. And Buffy noticed these looks. And she felt the jealousy build up in side of her. It was something she really did not like. Not one bit.
"Listen, I'm going to talk to my uncle." Willow sighed heavily. "There was once talk about starting a sorta gay/lesbian alliance on campus. It would include all that wanted to show their support. Maybe he could help us start something like that."
"That would be a start." Xander looked at his friend. "Are you sure that you two are all right? I mean, it wasn't the nastiest of messages. But it wasn't all that pleasant either. Are you guys worried about more retaliation?"
"There is always that possibility." The redhead shrugged. "We'll just have to wait and see where things go from here."

"Look at the pretty stars." Drusilla was again on one of her trips. "I can see and count everyone of them."
Angel shook his head. He was thinking that making Cordelia jealous with Drusilla might just be more work than he had originally thought. And who even said that Cordelia was worth it. Especially if Darla was back in town.
He remembered those nights that they shared back in the seventh grade. Could it have been five years since he had seen the girl? Those nights that they would sneak out to the roof of the middle school. They would watch the bustle of the little town of Sunnydale. They would hold hands. And the two shared their first kiss up on the rooftop.
But she had moved away after the end of the seventh grade. And that was when Angel started acting the jerk. He felt like he had been punched or something. The one thing that he had really cared about had been taken away from him. Even he had to admit that he reacted badly.
And sometimes, if he let himself admit it, he felt bad for the way that he treated people. They didn't deserve to be treated that shabbily. Not even the losers. But he had taken to dating Cordelia. And she is just naturally in that state where everyone is beneath her. And that no one can even ever think to come to her level.
But Darla was very different. The two of them had gotten along very well indeed. And she never looked down on anyone. But that was so many years ago. And if she was even vaguely the same person as she was back than, she would never like the person that he had turned into.
There were several nights that he lay awake. He would stare at the ceiling thinking about all of the people that he had hurt that day. And all so that he could show that he was supposedly better than them. When all he felt was hatred for himself.
Blond hair walking by caught his attention. Was it her? The girl turned and looked at him. At first, there was a little smile playing at the corners of her mouth. But after taking in Drusilla, Darla quickly frowned and walked away from him.
She hadn't like what she had saw. "Is it time for my medicine, darling?" Drusilla kept ranting on. And who could blame her. What was Angel going to do.

Cordelia had followed Doyle all over school. Finally, the boy had given in to letting her sit with him at lunchtime. He had told her that things had not changed, unless she had in that short time.
"So, you really have two moms?" Cordelia sounded like it was the most scandalous thing she had ever heard. She kept looking over to see if Angel was looking at her. He just kept his arms around that drugged out Drusilla.
"And that still poses a problem for you." Doyle looked her straight in the eye. He had never been one to hold things back.
Cordelia simply shrugged. If she ever thought that this was more than something to try and make Angel jealous, it might bother her. But not really. She hadn't even been that wigged out by Willow and Tara. It was just that the two belong to the nerd herd and needed to be dealt with accordingly.
"I don't get you." Doyle kept his gaze steady. "One minute, you are the biggest snob in the world. In another, I actually find some kind of warmth in you."
"So?" Cordelia did not understand the problem. Not one bit. "I am who I am."
"But if you are both, I really don't think that it could work." Doyle looked over at Angel. "And I really get the feeling that this is some kind of joke to you. All you care about is making Angel jealous. Which, I think is pretty stupid." He watched as Darla walked by and Angel's reaction. "Besides, I think that you have some serious new competition."
Cordelia turned to look at Angel. And she recognized that girl from somewhere. She looked a little different. From Angel's room. He still had pictures of her plastered all over the room. "She's not new. She's old." Something snapped at that moment in Cordelia. She wasn't sure what. She turned back and looked at Doyle. It was as if she were seeing him for the very first time. "I have to go now." Her nerves got the better of her for the first time ever as she took off out of the cafeteria. Doyle simply stared after her.

Willow and Tara were walking hand in hand. The long eventful school day had finally ended. The two were on their way home. As was meeting early in the library every morning, the two walking home together was also becoming a habit.
And the redhead loved it. The warm sunshine felt good on her skin. It made her feel alive. Or was that because she was walking with her girl. The one that gave her a reason for getting up in the morning.
Their hands together felt so right and natural to her. How could anyone think that it was wrong. For some reason, she did not feel that it was Cordelia or Angel that had put the graffiti on her locker. Something told her that there was someone else. Someone that could give them real trouble.
It took too short of a time for them to arrive at Tara's. The two stood looking into one another's eyes, still holding hands. They were about to lean in and kiss each other goodbye, when the door opened suddenly.
Willow recognized the man right away from her earlier web searches on Tara. Mr. Maclay! And the look he had on his face was none too thrilled. "Tara!" The look on his face was one that the redhead did not like seeing.
"Father." The voice was even quieter than usual. She quickly let go of Willow's hand and walked past him into the house. She hesitated for a moment to give Willow a sad look.
Mr. Maclay kept his focus on the redhead. "I don't want to see you around here again. My niece told me about how you were corrupting my little girl. If I ever hear of the two of you together again, I'll do something about it. And I do have a lot of friends around here so I would take me seriously if I were you young lady."
"Tara!" The shout echoed back at her as Mr. Maclay slammed the door in her face. Tears formed immediately. She wanted nothing more than to pound the door down. She took a few steps off the porch. She could see the face. That beautiful face staring down at her from one of the upstairs windows. Tears were streaking down that face as well. She mouthed a silent, "I love you." Tara did the same.
The redhead couldn't bear it any longer. She took off running. Running and running. She did not know where she was going or where she would end up. And she did not care. Her world was crashing around her. And oh so hard. How could she live without the blond in her life?
The tears were making her sight blurry. She did not see where she was. That's when she ran out onto the busiest street of Sunnydale. Traffic was always thick, even in the small town. And that's when it happened. A shiny red sports car came out of no where and sent Willow flying into the air and into unconsciousness.
AN Sorry for the shortness. And I promise to get back to Giles and the others. I have some ideas for them as well. I just thought enough was going on. Especially with the cliffhanger.
