Spike woke up and looked around him, noticing that he was tied to a chair. The surroundings were fairly familiar to him. He sighed heavily as he knew where he was now. And it was royally pissing him off. It was just like that idiot brother of his to get him in a mess like this.
"Spike, you're finally awake." Angel stepped out of the shadows. "Sorry about all this." He came over and began untying the ropes.
"Bloody hell!" Spike tried to look at his brother. Why did Angel have to be here at their father's chop shop. It was pissing him off. As much as the thought of what happened to Willow. "You know that you could have killed her? Do you know that she may not walk or see again?" He was so full of anger, that he didn't realize that he was free from his bonds.
Angel came and stood before his little brother. "I didn't do it, Spike." There was a sadness to his face. "Yes, it was with my car, but I'm not the one that was driving."
"You bloody lying piece of shit." Spike finally realized that he was free. He jumped out of the chair and put his hands around Angel's throat and tackled him to the ground at the same time. "You deserve this, you monster."
Angel managed to break free of Spike's grip by knocking him off from him. He watched as his little brother rolled into the wall with a resounding thud. Coughing and sputtering, trying to catch his breath, Angel made his way over to his brother. "I'm sorry for hurting you. And I'm even more sorry that Willow got hurt. It is my fault. And I don't know what to do about it."
Spike sat up. The wind had been knocked out of him when he had hit the wall. He stared up into those dark eyes of his brother. And he knew. "Damn! You are telling the truth."
"I told you I was." Angel sighed heavily. "I just don't know what to do. If Willow is like permanently hurt, she'll need someone to help support her. It should be me."
Spike shook his head. "Who the bloody hell are you and what have you done with my brother?"
Angel could not help but laugh at this. "Sorry. Let's just say I've been going through some changes lately."
"Had noticed." Spike managed to struggle back to his feet. "And I noticed how you are all over Drusilla."
That's when Angel's eyes got really sad. "I've not been good for her, I realize that now."
"You think?" It took a second for Spike to take in the look on Angel's face. "What happened with her?" His eyes grew wide. "She was the one driving, wasn't she?"

Buffy sat by the phone. Spike hadn't called since he took off on her the night before. They had all been at the hospital, waiting to find out about Willow. And he still hadn't shown up yet. And that was wigging her out.
She also wondered what exactly was up with Willow. Tara had called and said that she had gone in for the surgery and survived it all right. But there had been no word on her recovery since than. Another thing to give her the wiggins.
It had been a struggle to stay in school. It felt weird not seeing her boyfriend at least once. Or at the very least, talking with him on the phone. She really hoped that nothing was wrong.
That's when the phone rang. She about knocked her mother over trying to answer it. "Hello? Spike, is that you?"
"Sorry to disappoint you." Tara's sweet voice was on the other end of the line. "I have news on Willow."
"That sounds, sorta not so good." Buffy sat down on the couch, preparing herself for the worst.
"Well, it's a good news/bad news kinda thing." Tara sighed heavily. "The good news, she can see."
"Wow, that is great!" Buffy reminded herself of the other thing. "But now, for the devastatingly bad news."
"She still can't feel her legs."

"There has got to be somewhere we can go." Faith was pacing in the back of Oz's van as they sat in the parking lot to The Bronze. "Closed for fumigation. Dumbasses to let the roaches get that bad in the first place."
Oz watched his girlfriend pace back and forth. She was reminding him of a caged up animal. "Faith." His gentle voice stopped her in her tracks. "There's nothing you can do for her. She'll be all right."
Faith sighed heavily and sat down. She buried her head in her hands. "This is just so unfair! I mean, both Willow and Tara are the sweetest people I've ever known. They are there for one another and anyone else that needs them. And now, they supposedly can't be together because of Tara's asshole father! And worse, my friend may end up being a blind paralyzed redhead. Again, this is just so unfair."
She hadn't heard Oz making his way to her. He slowly slid next to her and wrapped his arms around her. She leaned her head back on his chest. He put his head on hers. "Life's not fair. And that's a fact. We just have to deal with what we are given."
"And you're saying I should just like this." She sighed heavily. "I really don't think so, big guy."
"What I'm saying..." He made it so that she had to look him in the eyes. "We are dealt some bad stuff in life. But we have people that love us to deal with it. That's life. Good things. Bad things. And we share it all with the one's that we love."
"So, are you saying that you love me?" Faith for once in her life was afraid. She was afraid of his answer. That's when her cell phone rang. "Shit!" She quickly flipped it open. "This had better be good."
"Good and bad, I'm afraid." Tara sighed heavily.
Faith sat up quickly. "Yo! How's your girl. She's still with us, right?"
Tara swallowed before answering. "Well, she's with us. And she can see us. She just might not be able to walk with us."
"Damn it!" Faith turned to Oz. "I'm gonna kill whoever was the one that did that to her."

Xander had managed to survive through the day. His thoughts were constantly on his best friend. So no concentration for school, not that he ever really did concentrate on school.
And for some reason, Anya hadn't been at school. She wasn't answering her phone either. It was as if she had disappeared since the night before. He was really beside himself. He finally decided that enough was enough.
That's how he had ended up at the hospital. Not that he could really do all that much while there. But he could still be there for Willow. He just wondered what condition she was in.
It amazed him when he walked into the waiting room to see Willow's parents had finally shown up. They had managed to drag themselves away from whatever was supposedly more important than their daughter.
Giles was also there. He had his arm on Tara's shoulder. The girl was crying. Xander quickly made his way over to his friend. "Tara, what's wrong, is it Willow?"
Tara managed to shake her head. Giles answered for her. "No, Willow is resting at the moment. She has regained her sight, but not the use of her legs. However, there is still the possibility that she could walk again."
"Well, relief on one of the two." Xander sighed heavily. "Still, badness on the second one." The look on Tara's face told him that she was upset. And more than just upset about Willow's condition. "That still doesn't seem to explain why you're this upset. What is going on?" Xander looked from Willow's parents to her uncle and finally to Tara.
"The girl is not welcome here." Mr. Rosenberg stood tall.
Xander turned to his best friend's dad. "Say what?"
"You heard me, Alexander." The man sighed heavily.
"There better be a darn good reason why Willow's friend is not welcome here." Xander glared at the older man.
"She is not a good influence on our daughter." Mrs. Rosenberg finally chimed in. "You would think that with all the research and studies we do, that Willow would not fall into the same trap as most teenagers do."
Xander took a step towards the two adults. "What the hell are you two talking about?" His voice was raised.
"Calm down, son." Mr. Rosenberg looked at Xander. "We just know what our daughter is up to. And we think it is not right. And we think that she is to blame." He pointed to Tara as he said that.
Again, tears were coming down Tara's face. "Damn you!" Xander managed to keep his voice a little quieter. "Have you even noticed how your daughter has been acting the last couple weeks." He didn't give them time to answer. "She's been so happy since she met Tara. And even happier when the two of them were finally able to 'come out'. She was never ashamed of her feelings for her. She was only worried that there would be bigoted people like you that would get in her way. Tara's father already beat you to the punch."
"What are you talking about, Alexander." Mr. Rosenberg eyed the boy.
"I'm talking about the fact that he basically told your daughter the same thing." Xander stood taller. "And your daughter ran off so upset at the thought of not being able to even speak with Tara, that she didn't watch where she was going and she got hit by a car. Now tell me something, is that what you want? For Willow to keep getting hurt, over and over again."
"You are way out of line, Mr. Harris." Mrs. Rosenberg said.
"I rather think he's not." Giles eyed his sister-in-law before continuing. "There is nothing wrong with two people finding happiness with one another. And him telling you two that you are hurting your daughter is the right thing to do. It should not have been him saying it. I should have."
"Giles, are you mad?" Mr. Rosenberg asked his brother.
"Mad? No. Angry as hell that my own brother would treat his daughter this way." Giles glared at him. "Yes."
Mr. Rosenberg was about to respond when the doctor came into the waiting room. "I've some news on Willow." He had a little smile on his face. "Although she still has no feeling in her legs, her eyesight is back to normal. And she says that her headaches are going away. It is still just a matter of time before we know for sure if the paralysis is permanent."
"Thank you for the information, doctor." Giles let a little smile come to his face.
"Oh, and before I go, she's asking to see Miss Maclay."
"Absolutely not." Mr. Rosenberg crossed his arms against his chest.
"Doctor, she'll be along shortly." Giles pushed Tara towards Willow's room. "You go dear, I'll handle my brother." The doctor looked at the feuding family, unsure what to do. "It'll be all right. I'll take full responsibility."
The doctor turned to go as Tara made her way to Willow's room. She knocked softly on the door and opened it before there was a response. "Hey, it's just me."
Willow looked a lot less pale than before. And there weren't quite that many monitors hooked up to her. But there was still the IV. "Hey, you." Willow patted the edge of the bed and Tara quickly made her way over and sat there. The redhead instantly took her hand in her own. "I missed you."
Tara smiled brightly. "I missed you too." The smile faded quickly. "We have a slight problem." Willow gave her a quizzical look. "Your mom and dad are here. And they found out about me and you and aren't too thrilled."
"Oh." That was all that Willow could say. More people that disapproved of her being happy. Just great. The way things are going, she'll probably end up in a wheelchair the rest of her life.
