"I cant handle any more bad news!" he yelled. "It's not about Litzy, is it?"
"No, your 'baby's mama' is fine," he said, crossing his arms over his chest, indignantly. "She's at the chapel."
Davey's mouth fell open.
"Oh, you didnt think we wouldnt figure it out, did you?"
"We're definitely gonna have to talk about this later," Hunter added.
For some reason, he was not looking forward to that talk...
"But the bad news is about Tyler's sister," Jade continued. "Erika was in a bad accident on the way here. She was speeding and the roads are still icy this time of year."
"Well is she okay?"
"They brought her to this hospital and we just heard...that she didn't make it."
"Oh my God," he said, and dropped onto a nearby chair. He ran his hand through his hair. "I cant tell him this."
Jade squeezed his shoulder. "I'll go."
"Thank you," he said. "I'm just gonna go check on Litzy."
"Of course you are," Adam said, flatly.

Davey found Litzy on her knees at the altar looking like an angel. He laid a hand on her shoulder and she looked up. Seeing it was him, she smiled. Looking at her then, that's when he knew the time was right. She stood but he knelt in front of her. She looked confused.

"What are you doing?" she blinked. She looked around like maybe there were some hidden cameras somewhere and he was about to pull a prank on her. He smirked, but went on with what he had to say.
"Litzy, you are my best friend. I adore you, I trust you, and I love you very much. I want you to be my wife, and I want us to raise our baby together as a family. So I guess what I'm asking is..." he went in his pocket and produced a blue velvet box. He opened it to reveal a diamond solitaire in a platinum setting. "Will you marry me?"
Litzy stood there frozen for about 45 seconds and then she burst into tears.
'Oh great! I should've known this would turn out horrible, too!' he thought, standing up and getting ready to do damage control.
"Litzy, I'm sorry. I should've talked to you about this first -"
She threw her arms around his shoulders and clung to him.
"Yes! Yes, of course I'll marry you!"
"You will?" he asked, wrapping his arms around her waist. She nodded. "So...why are you crying?"
"I'm just so happy!" she squeaked.
He laughed and rocked her in his arms.
"Oh Davey, I love you."
"I love you, too," he said, stroking her hair. "Would you like your ring now?"
"Oh yes, please," she said, letting go and holding her hand out. He put it on her and they kissed.
"Its sooooo beautiful."
"I'm glad you like it."
"How on Earth did you know...what...size...you stole my ring last night, didnt you?!"
"Maaaaybe...."
"Clever. But you scared the crap out of me."
"But isnt this worth it?" he asked, holding her hand up and pointing to her ring.
"Oh yes. This makes it A-okay," she laughed, admiring it. "But Davey..."
"What is it?"
She looked troubled.
"Come sit," he said, leading her to a pew.
They sat, and he took her hands in his.
"I dont really know how to ask you this..."
"Just ask me," he said, reassuringly.
"Are you sure that you want a wife? I mean, with everything that means?"
He knew what she meant. The commitment. The monogamy. In choosing her to be his companion he was choosing heterosexuality for the rest of his life. He didn't blame her for wondering if he could do that. He had wondered a good deal about that himself. But in thinking about their relationship from the beginning, he had realized something.
"The only time I dont feel alone is when I'm with you," he told her. "So yeah, I'm sure."
She beamed, happily, and hugged him.
"So when do you want to get married?" he asked.
"Spring," she said, dreamily. "Like mid-April. Or is that too soon?"
"No, I think that sounds perfect."
"Oh my God, this is so exciting! Have you told your parents?"
"I told my mom. She loves you. She's totally behind us. I'm sure Dad will be, too. But, Litzy, a lot of people won't be. I mean...this might be hard at first until people accept. But you have to be prepared for the fact that people wont want us together."
She looked completely deflated.
"Hey," he said, tilting her face up to his. "We just have to stick together. That's all."
She nodded and forced a smile. He didnt want her to worry. He kissed her and held her close.
"We don't need anybody else to approve, all we need is each other."
