What's Christmas without cliches?
16 reviewsA (lame) Christmas one-shot for Tawney's challenge. Inspiration from Charles Dicken's (VERY LOOSELY, sorry big guy) and Frosted Glass' 'Channel Hopping'. Hope you don't mind, Alex.

interesting story. I liked it a lot. although Pete with offspring scares me a lil bit. lolAuthor's response
Surely one Wentz is enough. That's why I made her female. A son would just have made my head hurt too much... :-)What's Christmas without cliches?

Well, I’m glad you had that long train ride. Not only because I’m an asshole I like to show some schadenfreude, but also because this one-shot is a real Christmas gift.
"Do I know you?" Pete reeled. He didn't look like a Fall Out Boy fan. And Pete was sure he would remember this guy. -> Ha ha ha!
"This isn't Dickens, Peter. God, you were arrogant. I never really believed it," -> HA HA HA!
Wow.
FrostedGlass doesn’t mind at all. And Alex thinks this story is amazing! :)
You ordered a rating point, I hear?Author's response
Glad you don't mind me kind of pinching bits of your idea considering I think this is a bit of a turkey (but a Christmas one at that). And thank you for rating it. I needed a break from 'This is the last time' because it is doing my head in. Writers block galore! Hope I've been good this year and santa brings me some fresh ideas.
Merry christmas xxWhat's Christmas without cliches?

Oh wow, I really love how you brought FOB into the land of Dickens... sort-of. I thought you really made this story your own. I loved that the girl was is daughter in the end... she seemed so familiar! ;)Author's response
A true compliment coming from you. Thanks and Merry Christmas xxWhat's Christmas without cliches?

Hello Fellow Scot, hoping you got to Glasgow OK, tell me how it's going when you remember.
Hey, This was some pretty good writing. You never let yourself down, the whole spirit at xmas to think about your life and to be contemplative is so true and we should spend time doing it more often. I loved the family atmosphere and the feelings you put across and how in the end, he realized this was what he wanted.
You are great. But you know that, you're scottish, and us scottish, ( apart from being incredibly rude and punching out Brendon Urie ) are pretty cool.....Author's response
Well, in my opinion, Brendon Urie would not suffer from a few more punching out incidents! HAHA.
I'm home in Glasgow now, and it hasn't changed a bit. First thing that greeted me was a bunch of neds attacking the Christmas tree in George Square. Classy! But tonight I'm off out on the ran, and am going to get ratted, Scottish style. Oh, I can almost feel the headache, now ;-) Here's to a very Scottish Xmas and a blacked-out Hogmanay. Cause you know if you can remember it, it wasn't a good one!!!What's Christmas without cliches?

First, I would just like to say what an amazing one-shot that was. God, I wish I'd written it.
The story was amazingly written, and I hope you continue to write shots like this, as I, and a lot of others would enjoy reading them.
As as my 3 days early christmas present, have a rating point. From santa. 'Cause santa is cool like that.
[Santa is getting me a pony.]
And by the way, scotland is amazing. I visited there to see my aunt once. Scotty-beautiful.
=]
Have a great christmas.
