Gerard woke up in his old bed at his old house. He couldn't remember what had happened or how he had gotten there in the first place. He lnew that the night before, he was hundreds of miles away and now he was in Belleville once again.
He looked at the clock. Although it said that it was 12:00 am, there was a dull light coming from outside his window. He got up, and slowly creeped up to the window to see what was going on. He peared outside to see a beach, which was litteraly impossible since he didn't live that close to the Hudson River.
He went to his closet and pulled out a pair of jeans and a red shirt, slipped on some loafers, and went outside to see if the beach was truely there.
As he figured, the beach was there, and he could see the soft sand on the ground and the ocean's water roll in and out of the shoreline. Gerard loved being on the beach, and decided to take off his shoes and socks so that he could have the feeling of sand in between his toes. He stepped onto the soft beach, and walked down to the shoreline and began to walk to the right along the coast.
As he walked though, he saw another set of footprints beside him which were far bigger than his. Next to him appeared a man. Gerard knew who it was without thought. Then, Gerard started to see all of the events that he had been through. He noticed though that every time Gerard had felt sad, or something awful happened, God's footsteps dissapeared. He asked the Lord why he had left Gerard alone during the hardships of life. The Lord answered, "Oh, Son of Adam, I have never left you, When you only see one set if footprints, it is when I have carried you. Now go back to the Earth. Your time is not yet here."

Gerard kept his eyes closed. He tried to remember what had happened and began to think of the dream and his episode in the snow. He attempted to get up, but all he could do was lift up his head and then fall back over after groaning. He tried to get up and roll over a few more times, but again, he lifted his head and then crashed back into a bed that he had been sleeping on.
That was another thing. This wasn't his bed. Wasn't the hotel's bed, or the RV's small bunks. He was laying in a large, queen-sized. He opened his eyes and began to explore the area around him.
Gerard was in a dark, red room that was now only lit by a few vanilla scented candles. There was a bedside table beside him to his left, and to his right he could see an armchair sitting next to a television. No lit fireplace though. He couldn't have been at the hotel. This also wasn't his room at his old house like he was in the dream. This was some place new, somewhere he had never been before. Then he realized that he may have been kidnapped.
Gerard attempted to get up again, but this time, a pain shot right through the center of his belly and he crashed onto the bed and began to slowly and quietly sob. He lifted his arm toward the ceiling asking for God's help, yet he remained in the strange bed in the same strange house.
Gerard decided that he may as well find a way to pass the time. He knew that the guys would be looking for him very shortly. He looked down toward his feet and his belly which was no longer aching, but had a continuous rolling motion to it. He saw that he was covered up with tons of cotton blankets, and an itchy army blanket on the top. Gerard began to sweat at the thought of being covered in so many blankets. Then he realized that he had no clothes on. None at all. "I've been raped." Gerard thought sadly to himself. "I know that I sure as heck didn't want my first time to be at a strange house with my kidnapper, my rockstar-napper." Gerard chuckled at his statement, although in his opinion there wasn't much to be happy about. He had no clue to where he was and strongly believed that he had been snatched up by some duranged fan, and then sexually assaulted.
Suddenly, a door that was right in front of Gerard cracked open, and inside peared only a shadowed face from what Gerard could see. Before Gerard could act, the door opened wide and inside appeared a young woman that Gerard felt happy about getting raped by. She looked to be 18, 20, although Gerard knew that she was at least 26. She had soft, innocent eyes and a small, but large enough nose like a Victoria's Secret girl would where. Her lips were soft and pink, and she had no make-up on. Not that she needed it. She was wearing a dark red sweater. Gerard thought that the red on the sweater was probably from all the blood that he may have lost in the accident. She was holding a coffee mug which Gerard felt pretty sad about because his thirst was high and he needed his substitute for alchohal. That or a nice Menthol.
Then, the woman came to his bedside and sat the mug on the table. Gerard began to speak, but the pain in his stomach came back, so he could not yell at his so-called raper. She smiled, and then pushed the hair out of his face. "You're finally awake. Some fall you took." Gerard gathered up all of the strength that he possesed and said the first thing that came into his head. " Have I been sexually assaulted?" Truthfuelly for Gerard, the only huge issue that was on his mind was if he was still a virgin or not. The woman chuckled. "Of course not." Gerard thought for a minute. "Why am I here?" The woman looked down for a minute. "I was on my way back from the local cafe when I saw you laying in the snow. When I went over to ask if you were okay, you were unconcious. I tried to call an ambulance, but my phone received no signal. Your face was really red and your hands were turning purple. I saw that you were still breathing, but barely." Gerard remembered his little episode in the snow. "So you drove me to your house instead of to the local hospital." Gerard asked, thinking why she would do an idiotic thing like that. The woman looked down again, and then back up to look at Gerard. She seemed to see right through him. He knew that when he asked something, she would answer him because she cared, and she didn't want him to get worked up over anything. "I don't have a car." she answered. She must have been embarresed, and Gerard felt bad for accusing her of being stupid. Sorry for accusing her for anything. "I'm sorry... so how how did I get here?" She seemed anxious on telling him how. "I carried you." she said. Then Gerard knew why he had that dream. He had died last night, and God didn't think it was his time to go. God sent her to carry him so that he could live. Live. "Where are my clothes? I don't feel very comfortable around someone I don't know without them." Gerard thought that he shouldn't have asked that question. But it was true. Gerard was very shy. Very shy. He still went into the bathroom stalls to pee. He was just flat out shy. She laughed under her breath. "Why would I leave you in wet clothes when you are hypothermic? Come on." She chuckled again and Gerard felt bad. "I'm sorry, I just don't like other people seeing me, you know." She stroked his hair once again. "I understand. It wasn't a bed question to ask. I'd be curious too. Look, the only reason why I left you there without any clothing is because I don't have any men's clothinng around here. I did not at all want you to feel uncertain here. When we got home, to my house, You started coughing, which was a huge relief. I took you upstairs so that you could have rest. I didn't want you at all to feel uncomfortable." Gerard turned red, realizing that she saw things that he thought she shouldn't have seen. She knew what he was thinking, and spoke for herself. "Don't worry. I'm a nurse. Don't feel embaressed." Gerard turned red again.
She looked over at the coffee mug which actually contained tea. She looked over at Gerard. "I brought you see some tea so that maybe you could raise your body temperature a bit faster instead of laying here in bed all day." Gerard thought that she was awful nice, rescuing him and all. He knew that he could ask for anything reasonable, and then remembered that he couldn't get up. "Umm...I can't get up, let alone sit." he said. The woman smiled and helped him up. First, she grabbed his hand, and then used her other hand to pull up on his back and Gerard was soon up. Yet he fell back over because he could not lift his head. He reminded himself of a newborn child. She took his hand again, but this time, lifted his head and again was up. She didn't take her hand off of the back of his head so he could stay sitting. She grabbed the tea and handed it to him. She took hold of his lifting hand and held it. He quickly put the tea in his other hand and began to drink. The tea ran smoothly down his throat and he felt like a human again. He could tell that it was Lipton Green Tea, because that was his favorite brand of tea other than Nestea.
He sipped it a few more times, and then looked down. His chest was showing. He quickly let go of her hand and handed her the tea. Then he quickly collapsed onto the bed and pulled the bottom blanket over his revealing part. She set down the tea and rolled her eyes. She was not mad, in any way. She thought that it was rather funny. "You have nothing to be embaressed about. Nothing at all. Plus, your chest looks fine. I'm here to take care of you until you can leave. Not so that I can assault you, I'm not interested in dating anyone right now. Do you still want some tea?" Gerard now felt really bad, and his eyed started to burn again. She looked at him guiltily."Aww, I'm sorry. Look, if it would make you feel any better, I could get you a t-shirt, but the underwear and pants will have to wait because I have none at all. I'm so sorry. I know that you don't feel comfortable around me. I understand." She left the room and left Gerard alone in the dark. He also felt guilty about his reaction to his revealed chest. She had already told him that she was a nurse, so what was another patient? He knew that he had to stop reacting to women this way. He never cared if another man saw him, so what was his deal with women? He never even let Chris see him. Frank and Bert had both seen him before. Heck, he had shagged them. Then Gerard felt guilt rest upon his shoulders. Homosexuality.
She came back in the room, holding a black t-shirt that looked to be the right size for him. "Here, I'm sorry that it's black. I don't want you to feel mournful. It's all I have that would come near to fitting you." Gerard took the shirt. Ahhh... black. "It's okay, black's my favorite color. I have to wear it alot." Gerard looked at the shirt. The woman looked at him and then realized something. "Would you like me to leave the room?" she asked, sounding pretty concerned. Gerard took a deep breath. He had to conquer his stupid fear. "No, I'm only putting a shirt on. Can you help me up?" Gerard knew that he could do it. The woman looked at him and knew that he was doing alot, trying to change a problem he had had since he was young. She went over and took his hand once more and took her other hand and put it behind his head. He lifted up once more, chest clearly showing. He looked back at her, she wasn't even looking at that part of his body. He put on the shirt and thanked the woman when he was done.
"Good job." she said, knowing that that was a bold thing to do. "Thanks... I've been sitting here, talking to you carelessly. What is your name?" Gerard asked. The question hadn't hit him until he realized that she didn't know his. "Grace, Grace." she answered. "I've been taking care of a guy that I found on the street. What's your name and occupation?" she asked. Gerard sighed. "My name is Gerard Way, I'm from Belleville, NJ, but I do alot of traveling. I am the lead singer of My Chemical Romance."
