Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!
The author shoots, the author scores!
You created a method where truth prevailed in the wizarding world (no small feat!), and so Malfoy, Snape, Crabbe, and Goyle frll in one ...er... fell swoop. Woo hoo!
And that's just the first chapter!Author's response
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The first chapter was a bit of a sweep, but as you should have discovered by now, first appearances are always deceiving at some level. Glad you're enjoying the story.Echoes of Power, Part I: Anger

A simple review.
Simply one of the best stories on the net.
Keep it up.
Thanks for providing it to us to enjoy,

Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts. I appreciate the generous words, but I can think of quite a few people that might dispute that with you. As far as I'm concerned, as long as I'm in that better-than-drivel category, all is well in the world.Echoes of Power, Part I: Anger

Well, so far, I have to say that it is an original concept. I'm a bit disappointed with your description of the fight scene. Having stated your depth of training, I would have expected more detail in the fight scene. Still, very entertaining.Author's response
Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts. The fight scene I assume you're referring to is the one outside of the the Headmaster's office. The original version of that was, err, a blood bath. I compromised with my betas and dropped the gore factor. As to the mechanical aspects, this is the first fiction (non-technical piece) I've written in something like 13 or 14 years, so I'm still working out logistics of it. I don't want to bore the uninterested with detailed angles, vectors, and body mechanics/alignments ... but I also don't want to gloss it all over as "ooo, I read a book about that once..." or "I saw a lot of cartoons (anime/manga now, I guess) and it looked easy" ... I appreciate the thought. When you get through the end of Chapter 20 (20 still in late beta, he's making an international move, so..), and you've reached the end of the third major fight scene, let me know if you still feel the same way, would you? At any rate. Glad you're entertained.Echoes of Power, Part I: Anger

I like the story so far. I noticed, however, that Harry knew that Snape was the Head of Slytherin House. Snape's name was not mentioned until Harry said that Snape wouldn't be much of a problem.Author's response
Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts. Your review is the kind I like. It raises questions. Unfortunately (for you), my typical answer kicks in here. Whistling Innocently. What you noticed is correct. The question, though, is just what Harry knew before he arrived...Echoes of Power, Part I: Anger

Yay! I do always like seeing Harry best his elders in a contest of wits. Interesting beginning... I look forward to catching up on the rest of the story.Author's response
I'm glad you're enjoying the story... I can't assure you that you'll always like the characters, but I hope you find it interesting regardless.Echoes of Power, Part I: Anger
