"So what kinda job do you got for me?" Matthew asked as Angel walked up to her tent. Eliwood noticed she was wearing her customary tan, button up shirt and tan knee length skirt. Her long silvery, wet hair was up in a pony tail.
"I need you to get something for me. Simple nein?" Angel said with a slight accent.
"Nein?" Eliwood asked, confused.
"Means 'no'. Sorry. I sometimes slip into foreign languages when I'm talking"
"We noticed" Eliwood and Matthew said in unison.
"Sorry. Please come inside Milord, Matthew" Angel said, opening the tent. Matthew walked in with Eliwood following behind. Angel walked in and sat on the cot near the wall of her tent. She grabbed her bag and started rummaging through it.
"So what am I going to get?" Matthew asked as he sat down a few feet inform of Angel on the floor.
"A package" Angel simply said. Eliwood sat down next to Matthew.
"I know. But what is in the package?" Matthew insisted. Angel pulled out an envelope and a few maps and handed them to Matthew. "Follow the path marked on the maps. When you get to the specified area give this envelope to a man named Nick. He'll give you what I need.
"You'll be able to pay me right?"
"Yup!" Angel said cheerfully. Matthew got up from his sitting position.
"Ok. And if I follow this route I will make it back with the group. Right?" Matthew asked.
"Of course." Angel said smiling. Matthew walked out of the tent and Eliwood heard his foot steps fade. Eliwood looked at Angel.
"So what did he go get?" He asked her. She looked up with a smiling face.
"A package. Now you wanted to talk about battle strategies?" Angel said.
"Uh.... I really want to know what you sent Matthew to go get." Angel frowned at his insistence. Eliwood did love her but he couldn't risk anything that could hinder them in their battle against Nergal. What if Matthew was killed? Angel sighed.
"You will learn when he gets back, Milord. Now, what would you like to talk about?" Eliwood looked at her for a bit. She truly lived up to her name in her looks.
"Is something wrong Milord?" Angel asked as Eliwood got up and sat down next to her.
"I'm worried."
"About what?" Eliwood thought for a moment
"About how we know little to nothing about you. How you could betray us. You could be our worst enemy and we may not even know it. You know almost everything about us. Our hopes and fears. Our goals and dreams. Even some of our deepest secrets. Yet we know nothing about you." Eliwood sighed. Then it hit him on how easy it was to talk to Angel. She always seemed to know how to respond to what people say. Even if it meant not talking to that person. Angel didn't say anything to what Eliwood said but instead took something out of her backpack. Eliwood looked at it curiously. It was a sapphire necklace with diamonds all around the sapphire, hanging from a gold chain.
"This is something important to me. I want you to hold on to it for me ok?" Angel said, giving him the necklace.
"No matter who asks, don't give it to anyone. Do I have your word?"
"You have my word." Eliwood promised, even though the necklace brought on only more suspicion. Eliwood stood up and left the tent. On the way out he heard Angel say something in a language he didn't know.
"Kyrie....Christe....Eleison."
word meanings:
Kyrie- latin. means 'Lord'
Christe- latin. means 'Christ'
Eleison- again. latin. means 'have mercy'
raises a question why Angel would say 'lord...christ...have mercy' in a diffrent language dosent it? either way you'll find out more of her past as the story gose along
the necklace- i have a similar one but in the origanal rough draft Angel gives Eliwood a keychain to the keyblade from Kingdom hearts. i was planning on a x-over. i may still
Nick- the name came from a Sophmore who I have the largest crush on in the whole damn universe.
question? comments? concerns? just review. remember: i dant really care wether or not you actually review (i just like writing stories) but any praise, flames, or tips are greatly appreciated (and i actually will change things depending on what you ask me to. it is like my readers are basically co-authering. if you dont like something: tell me and i'll change it)
