This is a good beginning - I love the way the two men's thoughts are running so closely parallel to each other, and the reference is one that I've thought of before as well. I'll look out for more of it.Thy Brother's Keeper

Wow. This is really excellent, and I like it a lot, particularly the parallels between their two thought processes. You bring out the duality of Cecil and Kain very well. However, I'm not sure the Cain/Abel comparison really works because there is no indication that the world of FF4 embraces and uses the Judeo-Christian religious tradition. The reader certainly gets it, but since you've written in the "voice" of Kain and Cecil, I'm not sure it really fits. Still, you do a great job of exploring their mental images of each other after the game. Very nice!
